Abstract
The purposes of the study were as follow:
1. To establish the standardized norms of Interpersonal Perception Inventory(IPI) for high school students.
2. To examine the effects of a metacommunication training course on interpersonal perception and metacommunication abilities of hearing-impaired students.
All of the norms, experiment and control subjects were sampled among grade 1, 2, and 3 in private or public high schools or vocational high schools from Taipei area. The norm subjects included 1510 general students. The subjects hearing impaired students in experiment and control groups included 15 for each group.
The major instruments were the researcher edited questionnaires such as IPI, IPI checklists (for subject’s teacher, parents, and classmates), a unit learning checklist, and feedback questionnaire.
The experiment group participated in eight sessions of the training course, three hours for one session. Teaching process was verbal and combined with some writing and body languages. Students discussion process were collected through video taping. IPR(interpersonal process recall) method was used to discuss the process of metacommunication.
Data was analyzed by curve, one way covariance, and t-test. The main findings of the study were as follows:
1.The IPI reliability: Test-retest reliability varies from .72 to .88, Cronbach αcoeffici- ent .72 to .92.
2.The IPI validity: Higher the grade was, higher the scores became. Compaired groups scores of IPI showed normal hearing students score significantly higher than hearing-impaired students(F=9.95, p<.01). Different scorers (parents, teachers, and classmates) view on same student’s correlation -.40~.41, showing different views causing of different relationship with the same subject. Same scorers view on same students with two traits :parents r=.79, p<.01; teachers r=.81, p<.01; classmates r=.79, p< .01。
3.IPI norms: There are two norms for IPI. One is grade 1, and the other is combined grade 2 and 3.
4.The scores of hearing-impaired students in the experiment group were higher than that of those who were in the control group (F=10.18, p<.01).
5.The experiment group post-test scores of IPI in Subscales 1, 2, and 4 showed significantly higher than control group, but subscale 3 was of no difference between the two groups.
6.The metacommunication strategies scores showed the last session was significantly higher than the first session.

Controlling of stem cell fate through geometrical micropillars during cell expansion
Multipotency is the ability of stem cells to differentiate into adipogenesis, osteogenesis and chondrogenesis. In general, stem cells lose their multipotency during cell expansion. The purpose of this study is therefore to slow down the loss of multipotency of stem cells during cell expansion by using different surface topographies which are circle, rectangle and grill. In this study, human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were expanded from passage 3 to 13 on different surface topographies and at different time points, they were differentiated into adipogenesis, osteogenesis and chondrogenesis. The results show that different surface topographies can direct the morphology of stem cells thus affect their multipotency during cell expansion. hMSCs were growing disorderly on rectangle and circle topographies and it was observed that circle performed best in early passage while rectangle promote multipotency in late passage. hMSCs which were aligned with grill surface topography performed weakest throughout the study. It was believed that stem cells which were growing orderly on grill surface was proliferating fastest hence they get exhausted and thus terminating their multipotency earlier than the rest. Due to time constrains, the future works include repeating the whole experiment to verify the results. [[alternative]]Growth mode and alloy formation of Co and Ag ultrathin films on Pt(111)
[[abstract]]本實驗中我們將以歐傑電子能譜術(AES, Auger Electron Spectroscopy)、低能量電子繞射(LEED, Low Energy Electron Diffraction)、紫外光電子能譜術(UPS, Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy)與離子濺射來了解鈷薄膜在1ML Ag/Pt(111)上的 成長模式以及合金形成等過程。並進一步探測緩衝層Ag厚度變 化時,合金形成及界面組成成分之變動。 在室溫時,鈷的薄膜在1ML Ag/Pt(111)表面上的成長模 式為三維島狀成長的V W mode。由 AES、LEED與UPS都相互 呼應得到相同的結果,此外從晶格匹配度以及表面自由能兩個方面 來看,也可以支持此結果。 1ML Co/1ML Ag/Pt(111)的樣品升溫時,可以發現到當溫度 升至425K時鈷原子開始往下擴散,大約到600K時銀原子完全在 表面。此結果可以由歐傑訊號,以及UPS電子能譜的變化中來證實。 而且由AES配合離子濺射深度組成分析,更可看出加熱後,鈷薄 膜會擴散進入銀薄膜以及Pt基底而形成合金。 由以上的AES和UPS以及深度組成分析的結果,再由LEED繞射亮點強度對溫度變化的關係,可以計算得到鈷薄膜的表面德拜溫度為344K,常溫下的表面原子振動垂直表面方向的均方根位移為0.12埃,銀超薄膜的表面德拜溫度為188K,常溫下的表面原子振動垂直表面方向均方根位移為0.16埃。 而在1ML Co / XML Ag / Pt(111)的樣品(X=0.5 , 1 , 2 , 3 )升溫時,可以比較出來鈷原子擴散進入銀薄膜而形成合金的溫度都是在425K,而銀原子完全在表面的溫度,則是隨著銀薄膜的厚度越厚而越高。形成合金後的界面,進一步的作深度成分組成分析。不同的銀薄膜厚度,鈷原子向下擴散的深度大約相同;銀薄膜的厚度越厚,則離子對銀原子的打擊效率越好。
[[alternative]]A practical analysis and theoretical research of the career ladder program of the teachers of primary and secondary schools
[[abstract]]The study is designed to discuss the practice and feasibility of the careerladder program for the teachers of elementary and secondary schools in termsof the document analysis ,comparative reasearch and the survey method. First,I use the document analysis method to collect the theoretical documents aboutthe career ladder program for the teacher and then synthesize these documents.Second,I analyze the theoretical points of view about the career ladder programfor the teacher form the various angles of education studies, psychology and sociology. In addition, I design pre-test questionnaires based on the presentsituation and the profession career ladder program of the teachers of elementaryand secondary schools in Taiwan area (800 teachers of elementary schools,400teachers of junior high schools,200 teachers of senior high schools,and 200teachers of vocational secondary schools) Out of 1600 questionnaires,1129questionnaires are returned -74 questionnaires are invalid while 1055 questionnairesare valid. The conclusion of the study consists of 14 items as well as 11 suggestions for teachers, administrative bodies and school authorities.
[[alternative]]A study of the communicative function of unconventional verbal behavior of children with autism
[[abstract]]The main purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships among unconventional verbal behavior (UVB), communicative function and verbal IQ in children with autism by functional analysis.
Twelve children with autism served as subjects, and were paired with each other according to their verbal IQ and chronological age. All participants were able to communicate activity and at least one of the following UVB activities; immediate echolalia, metaphorical language, and repetitive questioning.
The main findings of this study were stated as the followings:
1. The main communicative function of UVB:
The main communicative function of immediate echolalia was
turn-taking and Yes-answer; metaphorical language was used
when requesting object, requesting action, protesting, self-
directive, and requesting permission; repetitive questioning
was used when calling, requesting information, and
exclamatory.
2. The relation between verbal IQ and UVB:
The number of immediate echolalia in autistic children with
high verbal IQ was significant fewer than their counterparts
with low verbal IQ, but there were no significant difference
in numbers of metaphorical language and repetitive
questioning between the two groups.
3.The relation between verbal IQ and the communicative
function of UVB:
The numbers of behavioral regulation and social interaction
in autistic children with high verbal IQ had no significant
difference with their low verbal IQ counterparts, but
children with higher verbal IQ were significant better on
joint attention and exclamatory.
4. The number of normal utterance and UVB in autistic children
with high verbal IQ was more than low verbal IQ subjects,
but there were no significant difference. In addition, if
the main UVB of an autistic child was repetitive
questioning, his main utterance length of oral expression
would be better than subjects with other kinds of UVB.
5. The communicative function of UVB in autistic children in
this study showed a continual, overlapped developmental
pattern. Communicative function as a whole develops from the
lower level of immediate echolalia, metaphorical language,
to the higher level of repetitive questioning. So, three
types of the UVB in this study may be a indicator of
utterance development of autistic children .
[[alternative]]Study on the Populatioon Genetic Structure of Miscanthus transmorrisonensis
[[abstract]]Miscanthus transmorrisonensis Hayata is an endemic gramineous species of Taiwan .Genetic variation within and among populations were determined by isozyme electrophoresis analysis. Samples were collected from 8 different populations: Ho-huan shan, Hsueh shan, Ta-hsueh shan, Nan-hu ta shan, Yu shan, Kuan shan, Kuan-shan Ling and Ta-kuan shan. Allozyme frequency analysis of 16 loci showed the mean percentage of polymorphic loci is 56.3%, mean alleles per locus approximates 2, mean expected value of heterozygosity ( HE ) is 0.21 and mean observed value of heterozygosity ( Ho) is 0.17. All those preceding figures suggest that population genetic variation exists in M. transmorrisonensis. Meanwhile, it was found only 10% of genetic variation existed among populations, and the rest 90% existed within populations.Moreover, the genetic similarity among M. transmorrisonensis populations is 0.97 . This result is in accordance with general characters of wind-pollinated species.
Customer Participation in Tourism Marketing
Recent tourism marketing development has highlighted the importance of customer participation. Owing to experience-seeking and use of internet, customers start to behave themselves as value co-creators, which offers greater opportunities for service providers and benefit customers themselves as well.
Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors that contribute to customer participation and examine how customer participation effects relationship marketing in the tourism sector. The author proposes a model, in which communication, customer expertise, affective commitment and interactional justice are assumed to increase the extent to which customers participate in the service delivery. Furthermore, customer participation may increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
A survey was conducted based on travel agency service. In total 152 people who had experience working with travel agency participated in the survey. The testing results showed that the model is fully supported. Firstly, all antecedents, including communication, customer expertise, affective commitment and interactional justice, relate positively to customer participation. Secondly, customer participation enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty. Meanwhile, customer satisfaction has a positive effect on customer loyalty. Thus, the findings provide managers in the tourism with valuable insights that firms can increase their competitive advantage through enhancing customer participation
