A Shifting Paradigm of Work-Life Balance in Service Context-An Empirical Study
Purpose: The study examined the effect of various ‘work-life balance’ determinants such as employee benefits, work environment, workload, flextime and discrimination on work culture and job satisfaction. Introduction: In the second half of the last century, tremendous environmental, economic, political, and socio cultural changes contributed to the restructuring of couples in their relation to work. Literature review: Several fundamental changes in family and work structures, such as the participation of women in the workforce, family arrangements that deviate from traditional gender-based roles (e.g. dual-earner couples), and technological changes (e.g. cell phones, portable computers) have reduced the separation between job and family life. Methods: Data were collected from a multinational insurance firm based on structured questionnaire. Conclusion: Results indicated that employee benefits, work environment, flextime, and discrimination were significantly related with job satisfaction. Although work environment and workload were related significantly with work, culture but work culture has no relationship with flextime, and discrimination of the employees. Recommendations: The findings suggest that incorporating these dimensions may render service organization with the potent to improve existing level of performance and job satisfaction.Work culture, job satisfaction, flextime, discrimination, benefits and facilities

Munir Hossain Talukder has published a book, Nature and Life: Essays on Deep Ecology and Applied Ethics (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK; Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2018). He is a philosopher on the faculty at Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His Ph.D. is from the National University of Singapore. He and Holmes Rolston became acquainted when Rolston was a visiting professor there, and Rolston subsequently was a consultant and an examiner for Talukder's Ph.D. thesis. Rolston writes a preface to this book
Perbandingan Solusi Optimal Pemrograman Linier Pecahan dengan Menggunakan Metode Charnes-Cooper dan Metode Dualitas Simi-Talukder
Pemrograman linier membahas tentang pengalokasian sumber daya yang terbatas agar memperoleh hasil yang optimal (keputusan terbaik). Sedangkan pemrograman nonlinier merupakan pengembangan dari pemrograman linier. Dalam tugas akhir ini dijelaskan mengenai pemecahan masalah pemrograman linier pecahan, dimana pemrograman linier pecahan tersebut adalah salah satu klasifikasi dari pemrograman nonlinier. Masalah pemrograman linier pecahan dicari menggunakan dua metode yaitu metode Charnes-Cooper dan metode dualitas Simi-Talukder. Metode Charnes-Cooper mencapai solusi optimal dengan cara mentransformasikan fungsi pembilangnya yang bernilai 1 ke dalam fungsi kendala, setelah itu menyelesaikannya dengan menggunakan metode simpleks. Sedangkan metode dualitas Simi-Talukder mencapai solusi optimal dengan cara mengubah pemrograman linier pecahan menjadi pemrograman linier terlebih dahulu, lalu menggunakan konsep aljabar dualitas dan tidak bergantung pada metode simpleks. Tugas akhir ini mengajukan dua studi kasus maksimasi, pada studi kasus yang pertama dengan menggunakan metode Charnes-Cooper memperoleh solusi optimal Z=0,68 sedangkan yang menggunakan metode dualitas Simi-Talukder memperoleh solusi optimal F(x)=0,75. Dan pada studi kasus yang kedua dengan menggunakan metode Charnes-Cooper maupun yang dengan menggunakan metode dualitas Simi-Talukder memperoleh solusi optimal yang sama yaitu Z=1,33 dan F(x)=1,33

More than 350 million cases of infection, 5 million fatalities, and ongoing negative effects on physical and mental health are all results of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has afflicted people all over the world.Globally, COVID-19 has caused a significant number of fatalities and now poses a novel and uncommon hazard to food security, labor and employment, and public health. Around 10 million individuals globally are impacted daily by COVID, according to the WHO, which is still spreading quickly. The most painful people are those who have chronic illnesses.In order to limit the rate at which the virus is spread by direct contact, researchers focus all of their efforts on reducing the infection rate and increasing the precision of disease detection.We contribute to accelerating the covid19 detection process for deep learning by creating a covid19 dataset in order to decrease the number of deaths caused by covid19. Our dataset, which numerous clinicians and researchers validated, comprises normal and covid19 X-ray pictures from various hospitals in Bangladesh. The dataset contains a total of 2000 images, where 1000 are normal and 1000 are covid images. Since the image quality is good and the data is sharp enough to extract image information, we anticipate that this dataset will aid in the diagnosis of covid19
