Pengaruh Penambahan Tepung Temulawak dan Tepung Bawang Putih Sebagai Imbuhan Pakan Terhadap Karkas Ayam Broiler
This study aims to determine the effect of temulawak and garlic flour as feed additives on the carcass of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in Batu Penjemuran Village, Namorambe Sub-District, Deli Serdang Regency for 5 weeks starting from September 2019 to November 2019. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment consisted of P0 (without temulawak flour and garlic flour); P1 (use of 2% temulawak flour); P2 (use0.5% garlic flour) and P3 (use 2% temulawak flour + 0.5% garlic flour). Feeding were given adlibitum. The parameters were observed in this study include: cutting weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage.Data were analyzed using the F test. The results showed that the treatment did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on cutting weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage. It can be concluded in this study that the administration of temulawak flour and garlic flour did not significantly influence the cutting weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage of broiler chicken.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung temulawak dan tepung bawang putih sebagai imbuhan pakan terhadap karkas ayam broiler. Observed parameters is consumption rations, production eggs , heavy egg , FCR, index eggs , levels of omega 3 and 6, levels cholesterol egg And color yellow egg .
Used quails on study as many as 200 heads (unsex). Design test use design Design random completely (RAL) consists on 5 treatments , namely treatment First that is using 100% CPO (A), treatment second that is using 75% CPO and MLIN 25%, treatment third is using CPO 50% and MLIN 50%, treatment fourth is using CPO 25% and MLIN 75%, treatment fifth is using MLIN 100%, and every treatment 4 replycated were carried out. Data obtained analyzed use Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), if happen real difference on the 0.05 % level is continued with Duncan's test .

The Effect of Butterfly Pea Flower (Clitoria ternatea) as Drinking Water on Broiler Chicken Performance
Butterfly pea flower is one of the ingredients that contains natural antioxidants. Flavonoid compounds in butterfly pea flowers can be used as natural antioxidants that neutralize free radicals that attack body cells that can affect the performance of broiler chickens. This study aims to determine the effect of giving boiled butterfly pea flower water (Clitoria ternatea) as drinking water on Performance (weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion) in broiler chickens. The study was conducted in a research cage located at Jl. Besar Delitua Gg. Cempaka No.42C. This study was conducted for 1 month and was carried out from March to April 2024. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 = control; P1 = 15 ml / liter; P2 = 30 ml / liter; P3 = 45 ml / liter; P4 = 60 ml / liter. The variables observed were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion. The results of the study showed that the provision of blue pea flower infusion as drinking water for broiler chickens had a highly significant effect (P 0.05) on feed conversion ratio. The Use of Local Microorganism Dosage (MOL) and Broiler Manure on the Productivity of Pennisetum purpureum CV. Mott
Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott is one of the superior grasses that has high production, high nutritional content and fast regrowth. One of the efforts to increase the productivity of Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott through fertilization using broiler manure fermented using local microorganisms (MOL). This research was conducted from July to October, 2023 at the Greenhouse and Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with 2 factors (2x3), namely factor I dose of MOL (P0 = 0%, P1 = 2%) and factor II dose of broiler manure (M1 = 80 g/polybag, M2 = 160 g/polybag and M3 = 240 g/polybag), with 3 replications. The parameters of this study consisted of plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of tillers, fresh matter production and dry matter production.
The results showed that the dose of MOL had a significant effect (P<0.05) on plant height, leaf length, leaf width, fresh matter production and dry matter production. The dose of broiler manure had a significant effect (P<0.05) on plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of tillers, fresh weight, dry weight. There was a significant interaction effect (P<0.05) between the dose of MOL and broiler manure on plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of tillers, fresh matter production and dry dry matter production of Pennisetum purpureum cv. Efisiensi Penggunaan Protein dan Energi Maggot Black Soldier Fly pada Tingkat Umur yang Berbeda pada Ayam
This study aims to determine the protein and energy utilisation of maggot black soldier fly at different age levels on chicken. This research was conducted at Jl. RK, Desa Namo Bitang, Kecamatan Pancur Batu Kabupaten Deli Serdang, North Sumatra and at the Laboratory of Quality Testing and Feed Certification Bekasi of West Java. The design experiment used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment consisted of P0, P1, P2, and P3 (maggot at 14, 21, 28, and 35 days old). Observed variables were protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and apparent metabolizable energy.
The results showed that the treatment showed a significant effect on protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and apparent metabolizable energy (P<0,01). Increasing age of maggot black soldier fly decreases the value of protein digestibility but increases the value of metabolic energy. Based on research result it can be concluded that black soldier fly maggot most efficient in the use of protein and energy namely in the larval phase of 24 days.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi penggunaan protein dan energi maggot black soldier fly pada tingkat umur yang berbeda pada ayam. Peubah yang diamati adalah kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen dan energi metabolis semu.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan memberikan efek yang signifikan terhadap kecernaan protein, terhadap retensi nitrogen, dan terhadap energi metabolis semu (P<0,01). Meningkatnya umur maggot black soldier fly menurunkan kecernaan protein tetapi meningkatkan nilai energi metabolis. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Biology, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan.The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment consisted of P0 (without temulawak flour and garlic flour); P1 (2% temulawak flour); P2 (0.5% garlic flour); P3 (2% temulawak flour + 0.5% garlic flour). The variabelss examined are meat protein content, fatty meat content, meat water content, cooking loss, and tenderness of the meat

Application of Cassava Slicer Machine and Oil Dryer Machine in Micro Enterprises in Simalungun District
Cassava chips are one of the types of snacks that are in the public interest. So this is a market object that is quite promising by entrepreneurs. But they must compete in quality and taste. So far, slicing cassava and draining cassava chips produced manually so that the results are less than optimal and from this problem where become the starting point to solve solution to the micro-enterprises .
The method used in carrying out this training consists of several methods, namely: (1) Survey to the place of partners in the micro business group in Simalungun. This survey is the initial stage of the activity, which in this activity aims to see firsthand the problems faced. This survey stage is very crucial to get the right solution to the problems that exist. (2) Prequestionnaire this activity is carried out to see how far partners understand how vital the operation and maintenance of the machine. (3) Preparation of cassava slicing machines, this stage consists of several parts including the design of tools that suit the needs of partners, this needs to carry out so that the appropriate equipment specifications obained. (4) Application of equipment and process analysis, this stage is carried out at the partner's place, this stage demonstrates the use of cassava slicing machines to partners so that the results of a direct analysis are seen to increase the efficiency of the use of machinery to the production process. (5) Counseling to partners, this extension activity is significant to be carried out as part of community service. This extension is done to transfer technology to partners in terms of the use and maintenance of the machines provided; (6) Post questionnaire, the questionnaire activity at the end of the devotion activity aims to measure whether the problem faced by the partner has been resolved, and see the increase in the benefits of the machine being donated
