No full textIl volume illustra le caratteristiche salienti della vegetazione delle montagne d'Italia, sia peninsulare che insulare. Il libro si articola in 12 capitoli, dei quali i primi cinque trattano argomenti di carattere generale necessari per un corretto inquadramento della vegetazione montana: origine e distribuzione geografica della flora alpina e appenninica (Capitolo 1), il clima di montagna (Capitolo 2), i fattori ambientali e i loro effetti sulle piante (Capitolo 3), le comunità vegetali e le fasce di vegetazione (Capitolo 4), il dinamismo vegetazionale indotto dall'azione antropica e dai cambiamenti climatici. No full textThe habitat of glaciokarst plains in the Dolomites corresponds to ancient cirques carved by glaciers during the Pleistocene era and now determined by karstic processes. It has a rich bryological flora (eighty-seven species). Some of them proved to be statistically significant for indicating vegetation types. The latter are clearly correlated with different types of karstic landforms, each of which corresponding to a well-defined microenvironment. © 1991 Maney Publishing
