    Matter power spectrum in hidden neutrino interacting dark matter models: a closer look at the collision term

    Dark Matter (DM) models providing possible alternative solutions to the smallscale crisis of the standard cosmology are nowadays of growing interest. We consider DM interacting with light hidden fermions via well-motivated fundamental operators showing the resultant, matter power spectrum is suppressed on subgalactic scales within a plausible parameter region. Our basic description of the evolution of cosmological perturbations relies on a fully consistent first principles derivation of a perturbed Fokker-Planck type equation, generalizing existing literature. The cosmological perturbation of the Fokker-Planck equation is presented for the first time in two different gauges, where the results transform into each other according to the rules of gauge transformation. Furthermore, our focus lies on a, derivation of a broadly applicable and easily computable collision term showing important phenomenological differences to other existing approximations. As one of the Main results and concerning the small-scale crisis, we show the equal importance of vector and scalar boson mediated interactions between the DM and the light fermions

    Simultaneous noncontact topography and electrochemical imaging by SECM/SICM featuring ion current feedback regulation

    We described a hybrid system of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) and scanning ion conductance microscopy (SICM) with ion current feedback nanopositioning control for simultaneous imaging of noncontact topography and spatial distribution of electrochemical species. A nanopipette/nanoring electrode probe provided submicrometer resolution of the electrochemical measurement on surfaces with complex topology. The SECM/SICM probe had an aperture radius of 220 nm. The inner and outer radii of the SECM Au nanoring electrode were 330 and 550 nm, respectively. Characterization of the probe was performed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and approach curve measurements. SECM/SICM was applied to simultaneous imaging of topography and electrochemical responses of enzymes (horse radish peroxidase (HRP) and glucose oxidase (GOD)) and single live cells (A6 cells, superior cervical ganglion (SCG) cells, and cardiac myocytes). The measurements revealed the distribution of activity of the enzyme spots on uneven surfaces with submicrometer resolution. SECM/SICM acquired high resolution topographic images of cells together with the map of electrochemical signals. This combined technique was also applied to the evaluation of the permeation property of electroactive species through cellular membranes

    Stoppage and deposition of debris flows due to an abrupt flattening of channel slope aretheoretically and experimentally studied.A critical slope is defined as a function of concentration, angle of repose and densities of debrisand water. On a channel steeper than that slope debris can flow without any deposition. Thecapacities of the conveyance of the channels in such cases are discussed.Another critical slope, on a channel flatter than which a debris flow deposits with that slopeangle is obtained. This critical slope is a function of water discharge in the debris flow and the phy-sical properties of the deposit. Depositting processes in such cases are mathematically modeled.A debris flow can flow with partial deposition on the channel of which slope is between thetwo critical slopes.
