No full textGli obiettivi dello studio erano di verificare gli effetti della tecnica della scrittura di Pennebaker su un campione di soggetti con diabete non compensato (alti valori di HbA1c), e di studiare l’eventuale ruolo dell’alessitimia nel mediare tali effetti.16 soggetti hanno scritto per tre volte su argomenti legati all’esperienza della malattia, mentre altri 16 sono stati considerati gruppo di controllo e non hanno scritto. 2 e 4 mesi dopo i nuovi valori di Hba1c hanno mostrato miglioramenti significativi nel gruppo di scrittura, sia rispetto alla fase precedente che rispetto al gruppo di controllo. E’ inoltre emersa un’interazione significativa tra alessitimia e scrittura: tra i bassi alessitimici, chi ha scritto è migliorato significativamente, chi non ha scritto è migliorato non significativamente. Tra gli alti alessitimici, chi ha scritto è rimasto invariato, chi non ha scritto è peggiorato significativamente. I risultati mostrano che la tecnica della scrittura, se applicata nel giusto contesto, consente di ottenere benefici sulla salute, nonchè di individuare gruppi a rischio
Electricity and solid fuel production by small biomass plants vs CHP and district heating
No full textIn this paper, the possible use of heat surplus from a biomass-fired cogeneration unit, for treating a share of the biomass and produce a new and more compact fuel, like pellets, is discussed. Such a fuel could be easily stored and then distributed, for a more widespread and diffused utilization close to the consumers, for heating purposes. This shape of energy storage makes time and geographical shift of heat utilization possible.
A technical-economical comparison is carried out and discussed, between the above mentioned system and a district heating, supplied by a traditional biomass boiler or a conventional chip-fired cogeneration plant without pellets production
Optimal Motion Planning for Localization of Avalanche Victims by Multiple UAVs
Full text linkThis letter proposes a method for localization of avalanche victims by multiple UAVs. The method consists of three main parts. First, assuming that the UAVs and the victim are equipped with ARTVA receivers and a transmitter, respectively, we introduce a mathematical model of the receiver, which is used to estimate the position of the victim. Second, we derive a closed-form expression indicating the performance of this estimator. In particular, we show that the victim's observability index is captured by the persistency of excitation of a function of the UAVs trajectories. Third, we design and implement a motion planning algorithm that uses the estimation and the estimator's performance function for the (near) real-time generation of trajectories that guarantee feasible, safe, and time-efficient localization of avalanche victims

Le emozioni nelle relazioni di coppia vengono poi analizzate attraverso una tecnica proiettiva ideata da M.Amann Gainotti e confrontate con quelle che emergono dall'analisi di donne che vivono dei rapporti di coppia sereni. Emergono differenze evidenti nel clima evocato dalle donne maltrattate rispetto al gruppo di controllo
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
