Beam Extraction and Transport
This chapter gives an introduction to low-energy beam transport systems, and discusses the typically used magnetostatic elements (solenoid, dipoles and quadrupoles) and electrostatic elements (einzel lens, dipoles and quadrupoles). The ion beam emittance, beam space-charge effects and the physics of ion source extraction are introduced. Typical computer codes for analysing and designing ion optical systems are mentioned, and the trajectory tracking method most often used for extraction simulations is described in more detail. This chapter gives an introduction to low-energy beam transport systems, and discusses the typically used magnetostatic elements (solenoid, dipoles and quadrupoles) and electrostatic elements (einzel lens, dipoles and quadrupoles). Ion beam intensity and phase space measurement techniques for ion sources
Ion sources produce beams used in accelerators and other applications. Both development and use of ion sources need beam diagnostics to probe the plasma processes and beam formation for optimization purposes and to produce beam parameters needed for transport tuning. These diagnostics include beam intensity measurements usually carried out with Faraday cups or inductive pickups, magnetic separation, profile measurements with scintillation screens and wires, and phase space measurements with different types of emittance scanners.peerReviewe
Agenda Setting in a Sociological Perspective
In this paper the author attempts to put forth a new theoretical explanation of how the phenomenon known as “agenda setting” functions. The paper begins with a summary of current knowledge about this phenomenon, including the two theoretical explanations given to date: the psychological explanation and the explanation based on trust in the information media
Twilight and its readership - an analysis of the phenomenon of Twilight (Twilight Saga author S. Meyer)
Sága svým charakterem spadá do populární kultury. Katedra sociologieObhájenoI have focused on an analysis of readers of Twilight saga in my diploma work. According to its characteristics this saga is numbered among pop culture.
Empiric part of this work is founded on methods of content analysis and semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was made on Internet portal of Twilight saga. I realized semi-structures interviews with twelve women reading Twilight.
Twilight saga has large fan base relatively which consists of low age-class girls especially. Twilight saga has reached the popularity by the correspondence of genre convention of romantic literature and novels for adults
Low-threshold facilities as a tool for integration of youths at risk
Bachelor's thesis concentrates on low threshold facilties as a means of integration of youth at risk to society. The author defines the terms youth and youth at risk, concentrates on integration of youth to society and defines roma youth as a specific group inside our society with specific needs. She describes the history of these facilities in Czech republic, similiar institutions from abroad and their experience, the definition and principles of institutions that are low threshold and the legislative basis in the system of social services. In the practical part of this thesis, the author describes similarities and differences between opinions on the functionality of low threshold facilites among their workers and clients. She concentrates on two concrete clubs where she realizes a case study. The main differences are shown by ethnic divergences of the target group of clubs. In one of the clubs there are only Roma. One of the differences were favorite activities of clients in the club. For Roma's youth, it was mainly dancing, playing instruments, as well as tutoring. For the majority youth then spending time on computer. Likewise, the main reason why Roma youth visited club, was for tutoring. For the representative of the majority population, it was boring. Workers differed in opinion on the main objectives..

Deviation of H− beam extraction simulation model
Negative hydrogen ion source extraction system development is dependent on accurate and fast simulation methods for modelling the behaviour of ion and electron beams. Traditionally this type of work has been done using ray-tracing extraction codes, such as IBSimu. The plasma extraction model in IBSimu has been observed to under-estimate the charge density near the plasma sheath, leading to incorrect prediction of the current at which the system produces the optimum emittance. It is suspected that this deviation results from the approximations made by the model, neglecting the magnetic field and collisional effects near the sheath region. Results and comparisons to simulations are presented for three ion sources, for which two show similar variation and one is more accurately modelled. Conclusions with the currently available data can not be made and therefore further experimental and simulation campaigns to study the effect are suggested.peerReviewe
Radio broadcasting and it´s changes
Dalšími roky byly 1942 a 1948, v té době byl rozhlas pod nadvládou nacistů a komunistů, kteří si moc dobře uvědomovali sílu rozhlasu. Katedra sociologieNeobhájenoIn bachelor thesis I will deal with the development of the radio in the Czechoslovak Republic. My thesis is focused on the outline of the most important years that have affected the radio. Among the important years include the year 1939 when radio was the most affected by the war. Others years were 1942 and 1948, the radio was under the rules of the Nazis and the Communists who were very well aware of the power of the radio. They didn´t want to only control the media itself but also got to their people for spread their ideology. Furthermore in 1968, which was a major struggle for the radio of broadcasting and political issues. The last year is 1989 when the radio broke free from censorship. There were a return of banned authors and programs. The history of radio will be compared on the basis of studying literature and articles astringent to the topic. In the thesis won´t be omitted a representatives who were responsible for a operation of the radio. The aim of my bachelor thesis is come to know, define and analyze the activity and the function of radio broadcasting from its beginnings to 1992. My thesis will not only offer a general theory, but examples will be used for sociological theories. The thesis has not only a theoretical chapter. I continually introduce the history of the radio and subsequently sociological theory, which is appropriate to interpret the historical facts
The presentation and construction of an individual´s identity through social site Facebook
Theoretical basis of this paper is based on a dramaturgical approach of Erving Goffman who compares the daily presentation of an individual acting with the theater, where individual plays the role for the audience at the front of the stage and returned to the backstage, where he doesn´t play his role. The methodological part is based on the questionnaire survey specializing in the importance of individual factors that shape individuals self-presentation on social network Facebook. The assumption is that individuals will present their ideal self rather than their true or hidden self to make an impression to others
ObhájenoThe topic of my bachelor thesis are university students and student movements. I was based on the dissertation of Jiřina Šiklová. The author focused on university students and student movements in the 1960s. I used the opinions and concerns that the author mentions in her work and tried to apply them to the present. The author feared that in the future, students would not be supported by independence, individuality and critical thinking. She also feared that the future of universities was uncertain and that their appearance would change in the following. The main goal of my work is to try find out whether Jiřina Šiklová's concerns have been confirmed or whether the situation has changed for the better. I used an online questionnaire survey as a method of data collection. A total of 324 respondents participated in the research. Then I analyzed the data using statistical data analysis. The results of the research show that Jiřina Šiklová's concerns in the work Stoupenci proměn have not been confirmed. Students believe that the development of their individuality, critical thinking and independence is encouraged at universities. They also think that the current situation at universities is adequate
