Implementation of KH Ahmad Dahlan's educational thoughts in the merdeka curriculum
This research aims to see how the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the kurikulum merdeka that is being promoted by the government through KEMDIKBUDRISTEK. The research method used is a literature review where the author collects data on the educational thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan, independent curriculum and discusses how it is implemented. The results of the study show that the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the independent curriculum in several aspects including: in the education system, namely the integration of religious and Scientific knowledge curricula, in the aspect of educational goals, namely the formation of students who are religiously knowledgeable and intelligent in insight and scientific views which are reflected in the Pancasila student profile, in terms of technical implementation, namely indications of pending development of educational implementation, in terms of learning methods namely contextual learning which is reflected in intracurricular and cocurricular learning models on independent curriculum. In addition to these four aspects, both KH Ahmad Dahlan and the concept of independent curriculum focus on developing students both individually and socially. The implication of this research is the formation of educational institutions that truly become an answer to the needs of students in facing the development of time, not just schools as a formality to get a diploma. Stability analysis of Magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat transfer over an exponentially permeable stretching/shrinking sheet in Ferrofluids with the influence of heat generation
The steady, two-dimensional and laminar magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat transfer over an exponentially permeable stretching/shrinking sheet in ferrofluids with the existence of heat generation and suction is numerically studied. Using appropriate similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations before being solved by a collocation method, namely the bvp4c function in MATLAB. This investigation explores the influence of parameters involved in this study towards the skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt number, velocity, and temperature profiles, and the results are showed graphically and thoroughly discussed. Interestingly, dual solutions (first and second solutions) exist in this study which prompted us to proceed more with the stability analysis. This analysis revealed that the first solution is stable and physically reliable and the second solution is unstable and not physically reliable. The results show that the upsurge of the magnetic parameter and mass transfer parameter (suction) help boost the heat transfer rate. Moreover, an enhancement in heat transfer rate can be observed as the heat generation parameter decreases

Factors for non—compliance to diabetic diet among ype 2 diabetes mellitus patients / Sazliqa Syuhada Ahmad Hambal
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a common health problem all over the world. In order to manage this disease successfully, it requires good lifestyle modification that include frequent self-monitoring blood glucose, exercise, dietary modification and proper medications intake. Out of these recommendations, dietary recommendation is the most important part that patients have to follow properly besides taking medications. Diabetes patients usually require dietary counseling that will help them to select the right quantity and type of foods so that they can take balanced diet. However, the adherence to dietary management is the problem among peoples with diabetes. The purpose of the study was to identify the factors for non-compliance to diabetic diet and also to determine the relationship between demographic characteristic and factor of non compliance to diabetic diet among Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. A cross sectional study was conducted in Klinik Kesihatan Shah Alam, Selangor. Convenience sampling method was carried out for the selection of235 patients who had type 2 diabetes mellitus. The data was collected by face to face interview questionnaire. The overall of dietary non compliance of respondents was 211 patients which were 89.8% while patients that compliance to dietary was only 24 patients which were 10.2 %. There were three factors that have been identified as the highest frequency. The factors were eating out 140 (59.6%), inappropriate dietary habits 151 (64.3%) and granting self permission 125 (53.2%). Eating out found to be significantly associated with demographic characteristic (gender, employment status and educational level) which the p-values were 0.001 respectively. The rest of the factor had no significant association with demographic except social and emotion support from family and friends. There were significant relationship between family support and friends support with gender in which the p-value was 0.016 and 0.10 respectively. In conclusion, the rate of non compliance was high and there were several factors that have been identified as the barrier or reasons why patients do not comply to diabetic diet
Air quality pattern assessment in Peninsular Malaysia using statistical approach / Nur Syuhada Aini Ahmad Lokman Bukhari
The causes of air quality problems detected are the high increase in the number of vehicles, the rapidly growing urbanization and industrialization that indirectly poses a threat to the environment and public health. The primary objective of this research was to analyze air quality pattern in Peninsular Malaysia utilizing cluster analysis. The sub-objectives of this study were to classify the air quality pattern using hierarchical cluster analysis, to differentiate between clusters using discriminant analysis and also to identify sources of air pollution using principal component analysis. The data was provided by the Department of Environment (DOE) of Malaysia for the years 2013 until 2016 (4 years). Basically, parameters of air pollution index (API) namely nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), particulate matter, ozone (O3), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter less than10 microns (PM10) were involved in this study. Therefore, statistical approach which is cluster analysis (CA) was used in this study. It cluster three smaller classes compared to 48 air monitoring stations which has the same characteristics. Hierarchical cluster analysis was choosen to study the pattern of air pollution index(API) based on a yearly and monthly basis. It was shown that 2015 has more standout and different pattern. To distinguish between three classes, Discriminant Analysis (DA) has been used where it uses standard, backward and forward stepwise technique. This study also used Wilks’ lambda test to measure how well each variables separates into groups. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to identify significant pollutant parameters which caused the air quality problem in the peninsular area. The study found that CO and PM10 are the major pollutants that have contributed to degrade air quality in the Peninsular Malaysia based on the three classes due to combustion process from vehicles and industries. As conclusion, analyzing huge data sets become better understanding on air quality and also more clearly identify significant air pollutant parameters when using statistical approach

Subjectivity, individuality and abjection in kate chopin’s the awakening
Julia Kristeva's concept of abjection deals with how the subject intends to gain his/her subjectivity by rejecting the things which are not considered part of himself/herself. In Kate Chopin’s The Awakening (1899), the protagonist, Edna Pontellier, is portrayed as a married woman but one who has romantic affairs with other men. Deemed unthinkable, Edna’s desire and search for true love is seen as an act of defiance by the society in which she lives. Edna’s life’s boundaries are blurred and confused by her ambiguous actions, a display of her attempt at abjection. By applying textual analysis as our methodology, this research aims to delve into how Edna fights for her individuality and sense of self. As a result, the analyses are divided into two parts, namely, Search for Subjectivity and Individuality and Edna Pontellier’s Awakened Individuality. Besides, the reaction of patriarchal society towards Edna's search for independent subjectivity is scrutinised as it greatly affects Edna's life. By applying Kristeva's abjection to Chopin's The Awakening, the current article intends to focus on Edna's attempt at self-realization
