    Magang merupakan suatu kewajiban bagi setiap mahasiswa Fakultas Vokasi Program Sarjana Terapan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember untuk mencapai gelar Sarjana Terapan. Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan karena dapat memberikan manfaat bagi mahasiswa sebab kegiatan magang merupakan pengaplikasian ilmu yang telah diperoleh selama di bangku perkuliahan dan bagaimana penerapannya di dunia kerja. Magang bertujuan untuk melatih mahasiswa agar terbiasa dengan lingkungan kerja, sehingga dari Magang tersebut mahasiswa dilatih cara kerja yang baik dan benar. Sebelum mahasiswa memasuki dunia kerja, mahasiswa bisa memahami betapa sulit serta kompleks di dunia kerja dan perlu banyak latihan sebelum memasuki dunia kerja dan disiplin merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan bagi mahasiswa. Dalam kegiatan Magang penulis memilih untuk melakukan Magang di labolatorium automotive ITS yaitu STP Otomotif ITS. Perusahaan tersebut merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pembuatan kendaraan listrik. Alasan penulis memilih Magang di STP Otomotif ITS adalah untuk menambah ilmu dan pengalaman bekerja. Memiliki pengalaman magang di perusahaan STP Otomotif ITS adalah suatu kebanggaan, karena mendapatkan banyak pelajaran baik dalam dunia kerja maupun pengetahuan mengenai kondisi lapangan saat kerja. ============================================================================================================================ Internship is an obligation for every student of the Faculty of Vocational Studies Applied Bachelor Program, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember to achieve the Applied Bachelor degree. Before students enter the world of work, students can understand how difficult and complex the world of work is and need a lot of practice before entering the world of work and discipline is one of the keys to success for students. In the Internship activity, the author chose to do an Internship at the ITS automotive laboratory, namely the ITS Automotive STP. The company is a company engaged in the manufacture of electric vehicles. The reason the author chose to do an internship at STP Automotive ITS was to increase knowledge and work experience. Having an internship experience at the STP Automotive ITS company is an honor, because it gets a lot of lessons both in the world of work and knowledge about field conditions at work

    Suspensi merupakan komponen penting pada kendaraan karena berperan penting dalam menjaga kestabilan dan kenyamanan ketika berkendara. Pada suspensi per daun yang akan dipasang pada kaki-kaki belakang Bus Listrik Medium Low Floor Chassis Monocoque mengalami permasalahan yaitu ketiadaan bracket anting depan per daun di pasaran yang fit dengan support chassis sehingga harus dilakukan custom untuk disesuaikan agar dapat disambungkan pada chassis. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukan perancangan dan analisis bracket melalui simulasi dengan berbagai macam variasi, yaitu variasi metode sambungan dan variasi ketebalan material yang digunakan untuk pembuatan bracket. Kedua variasi yaitu variasi sambungan yang menggunakan sambungan baut dan sambungan las serta ketebalan material yang digunakan yaitu 5 mm, 6 mm, dan 7 mm. Kriteria desain sebagai acuan dalam melakukan perancangan yaitu hasil simulasi dengan luaran massa yang tidak terlalu berat, faktor keamanan sesuai batas aman, cycle kelelahan yang dinyatakan aman, serta tegangan yang tidak melebihi tegangan ijin. Metode yang dilakukan pada penlitian ini yaitu dengan simulasi struktur statis menggunakan software ANSYS. Bracket dengan sambungan las dan ketebalan material 5 mm yang memiliki nilai tegangan Von Mises sebesar 49,32 MPa , nilai faktor keamanan sebesar 5,069, nilai fatigue life cycle sebesar satu juta siklus, dan nilai fatigue safety factor sebesar 1,748, serta massa sebesar 1,635 kg. Dari nilai-nilai parameter tersebut, maka bracket dengan sambungan las dan ketebalan material 5 mm adalah variasi bracket yang paling optimal. ======================================================================================================================== Suspension is an important component in vehicles because it plays an important role in maintaining stability and comfort when driving. In the per leaf suspension that will be installed on the rear legs of the Electric Bus Medium Low Floor Chassis Monocoque, there is a problem, namely the absence of a per leaf front earring bracket on the market that fits the chassis support so that it must be customized to be connected to the chassis. Therefore, it is necessary to design and analyze the bracket through simulations with various variations, namely variations in the connection method and variations in the thickness of the material used for making the bracket. The two variations are connection variations that use bolt connections and welding connections and the material thicknesses used are 5 mm, 6 mm, and 7 mm. Design criteria as a reference in designing are simulation results with output masses that are not too heavy, safety factors according to safe limits, fatigue cycles that are declared safe, and stresses that do not exceed the allowable stress. The method used in this research is static structural simulation using ANSYS software. Bracket with welded joints and material thickness of 5 mm which has a Von Mises stress value of 49.32 MPa, a safety factor value of 5.069, a fatigue life cycle value of one million cycles, and a fatigue safety factor value of 1.748, and a mass of 1.635 kg. From these parameter values, the bracket with a welded connection and a material thickness of 5 mm is the most optimal bracket variation

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
