No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Penelitian ini bertolak dari adanya perjuangan seorang da’i muda yang selama lebih dari 12 tahun menggeluti dakwah dikalangan anak muda. Banyaknya kegiatan-kegiatan yang menyimpang pada jaman dahulu dari 2003-2005, lalu adanya perubahan yang terjadi semenjak 2005 hingga ketahun 2018 Perubahan-perubahan ini tentu mempunyai alasan besar dibalik itu semua. Setelah perubahan yang begitu derastis tersebut maka penulis kemudian berasumsi bahwa ada kegiatan dakwah yang dilakukan di kalangan anak muda khususnya generasi muda di wilayah Tamban yang dilakukan oleh da’i muda M.Arif Hakim.
Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap apa saja kegiatan dakwah yang dilakukan oleh M.Arif Hakim melalui media Perguruan Pencak Silat Laskar Ikhwan As-Shafa dan metode dakwah apa aja yang digunakan M.Arif Hakim dalam melaksanakan dakwahnya tersebut.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dalam menemukan dakwah dari seorang M.Arif Hakim di Kecamatan Tamban. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi orang-orang yang berhubungan serta mengetahui proses dakwah dari seorang M.Arif Hakim melalui media Pencaksilat di Perguruan Pencak Silat Laskar Ikhwan As-Shafa. teknik yang di gunakan dalam memperoleh data adalah observasi sistemik wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi
Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan metode Logika deduktif, dari analisis diperoleh bahwa ada beberapa kegiatan dakwah yang dilakukan oleh M.Arif Hakim melalui media Pencaksilat di Perguruan Pencak Silat LaskarIkhwan As-Shafa. Trust and Tax Morale
No full textThis empirical chapter examines the relation between trust and tax morale at both country and individual levels using a combined World Values Survey and European Values Study dataset covering 400,000 observations across 108 countries. The results overall indicate that although vertical trust matters, horizontal trust in the form of generalized trust is not linked to tax morale. We do, however, identify intercountry differences that warrant further exploration. We also demonstrate that generalized trust uncertainty, in contrast to vertical trust uncertainty, is negatively correlated with tax morale. Lastly, we provide some evidence that generalized trust varies under different vertical and governance conditions, but we are unable to identify any indirect path from generalized trust to tax morale using governance quality as a mediator
Simulation of thermal plant optimization and hydraulic aspects of thermal distribution loops for large campuses
No full textFollowing an introduction, the author describes Texas A&M University and its utilities system. After that, the author presents how to construct simulation models for chilled water and heating hot water distribution systems. The simulation model was used in a $2.3 million Ross Street chilled water pipe replacement project at Texas A&M University. A second project conducted at the University of Texas at San Antonio was used as an example to demonstrate how to identify and design an optimal distribution system by using a simulation model. The author found that the minor losses of these closed loop thermal distribution systems are significantly higher than potable water distribution systems. In the second part of the report, the author presents the latest development of software called the Plant Optimization Program, which can simulate cogeneration plant operation, estimate its operation cost and provide optimized operation suggestions. The author also developed detailed simulation models for a gas turbine and heat recovery steam generator and identified significant potential savings. Finally, the author also used a steam turbine as an example to present a multi-regression method on constructing simulation models by using basic statistics and optimization algorithms. This report presents a survey of the author??s working experience at the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) at Texas A&M University during the period of January 2002 through March 2004. The purpose of the above work was to allow the author to become familiar with the practice of engineering. The result is that the author knows how to complete a project from start to finish and understands how both technical and nontechnical aspects of a project need to be considered in order to ensure a quality deliverable and bring a project to successful completion. This report concludes that the objectives of the internship were successfully accomplished and that the requirements for the degree of Degree of Engineering have been satisfied

No full textThis article has the intent and purpose to find out the legal consequences arising from the existence of a binding sale and purchase agreement (PPJB) with a power of attorney to sell which is notarized which can result in a tax payable, Customs Duty on Acquisition of Land and Building Rights (BPHTB) and Income Tax Collection ( PPh) On the Transfer of HAT, it is reviewed based on the PDRD Law and Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34 of 2016 concerning Income Tax on Income from the Transfer of Land and/or Building Rights, and the Sale and Purchase Agreement on Land and/or Building and its Amendments. The type of research in this research is normative juridical law research, with the approach used in this research being statutory approval. The Sale and Purchase Binding Agreement (PPJB) is a legal breakthrough made by a Notary to overcome the problems faced in the implementation of the sale and purchase of land rights as previously explained. Legal discoveries made and applied by a Notary regarding the use of a Sale and Purchase Binding Agreement (PPJB) in assisting the implementation of the sale and purchase of land rights or as a preliminary agreement before making a Sale and Purchase Deed so that the existence of PPJB does not mean transferring or transferring a Land Right.

during the period September 1975 through May 1976 is presented. During this nine month
internship the author worked as an Engineer II in the Industrial Processes discipline of this
large consulting engineering firm... The author's prime responsibility was as one of three
lead design engineers on the design of a large wastewater treatment facility for a pulp mill
in Hoquiam, Washington owned by ITT Rayonier Inc. The work generally consisted of the design
of individual treatment units and associated piping and pumping. The purpose of the project
was to provide wastewater treatment capabilities that would satisfy the effluent limitations
(standards) imposed upon the mill by the State of Washington Department of Ecology and the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The author's assignment also entailed necessary
interaction with the project manager and other CH���M HILL design engineers and support staff
members, the client's representatives, and representatives of two other consulting engineering
firms working on the project. Thus, the internship position at CH���M HILL provided considerable
experience coordinating the author's work with the work of other engineers, guiding the design
and administrative efforts of a support staff, and interacting regularly with the client and
other consulting firms. This broad exposure to a variety of engineering and organizational
problems provided a valuable educational experience

No full textWorkers / laborers are often extorted by employers with relatively small wages. An employment relationship is basically a relationship between a worker / laborer and an entrepreneur after a work agreement is made. The formulation of the problems discussed in this paper is how to regulate freelance daily workers in Indonesia and how to resolve disputes related to work agreements for casual daily workers in Indonesia. The result of the research on the formulation of the problem is that the regulation regarding freelance workers / laborers is regulated in statutory regulations, in law number 13 of 2003 concerning manpower in Article 56 to Article 59, but there are several articles amended by -Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning work copyright. Settlement of disputes between employers and workers / casual daily laborers can be resolved first by deliberation to reach a consensus in accordance with what has been stipulated in Article 136 paragraph (1) of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, but if deliberation efforts to reach consensus cannot be reached then the management and workers / laborers or trade / labor unions resolve industrial relations disputes.
