This research aimed to describe the implementation of Reading Culture development program and Library Supervision in District of Banyuwangi, Banyuwangi Regency in 2013. The research used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type, that is, a research aimed to explore what is available in the field. Informants in the research were divided into two types, namely key informants and supporting informants. Key informants were determined by purposive sampling, while supporting informants were determined by snowball sampling. Data were collected by interview, documentation, and literature. The research used interactive data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the implementation of Reading Culture development program and Library Supervision in District of Banyuwangi, Banyuwangi Regency in 2013 had not been going well or had not been properly implemented because the implementation was not known by many people and only went for approximately three months. The guideline for the implementation of the program was Letter of Assigment of Head of Banyuwangi District Number: 010/616/429.501/2013. To support this program, the government of District of Banyuwangi provided 2 cars operating alternately on Monday through Friday at the appointed places, and each place gained the schedule of three-time visit in a week from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This program should have been implemented in all villages in District of Banyuwangi; however, because of the limited time and personnel and minimum accommodation, then the mobile library program was conducted only in the administrative villages located in the downtown of Banyuwangi, that is, Administrative Villages of Kebalenan, Sobo, Tukang Kayu, Karangrejo, and Kertosar

This research aimed to describe the role of Pasuruan Government in controlling industrial waste of PT. Chiel Jedang Indonesia. The research used descriptive method with qualitative approach and the focus of this research was the government's role in the control of waste of PT. Cheil Jedang Indonesia. Informants were determined using purposive sampling technique. The sources of data consisted of primary and secondary data. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation methods. The research also used triangulation technique for data validity checking through the methods and sources. The data analysis used Miles and Hurberman interactive model. The results showed that Pasuruan government's roles in controlling the industrial waste of PT.Cheil Jedang Indonesia were monitoring, field inspections or site visit to determine the sources of pollution caused by PT. Cheil Jedang Indonesia and providing technical recommendations, enhancing the public role and awareness. In addition, the government made an innovation in the control of industrial waste, among others, by conducting a research with NGOs as well as forming a team of 10, making of Momentum of Understanding (Muo), making a long-term plan and conduct continuous control

This is evidenced by data in the form of accountability report of the activities that had been carried ou

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

This study entitled "The Effect of Quality of Health Services and Health Facilities on Satisfaction of Inpatients at the Orchid Room" which was compiled by Putri Maryani Supranoto with NPM: CB117112163. This study aims to determine: 1) whether the quality of service affects the satisfaction of inpatients in the orchid room, 2) whether the quality of service affects the satisfaction of inpatients in the orchid room, 3) whether the quality of services and health facilities affect the satisfaction of inpatients in the orchid room. . The population in this study were inpatients in the orchid room with a sample of 363 people. The method used is a survey with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling. The instrument testing technique in this study used validity and reliability tests, while the data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, multiple linear analysis, and classical assumption tests. The results of the study show that: 1) service quality affects patient satisfaction with t_count (6,486) > t_table (1.971), 2) Health facilities affect patient satisfaction with t_count values (9,691) > t_table (1.971), 3) service quality and Health facilities have an effect on patient satisfaction with the value of F_count (125,250) > F_(table )(3,04). Based on the value of R^2, the quality of service and health facilities with a percentage of 65.5% affects patient satisfactio

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
