Magnetic Source of Kawah Ijen and Subsurface Delineation from Magnet Data
No full textA ground magnetic survey was conducted at Ijen caldera complex. The Ijen caldera complex hosts a large number of volcanic edifices which consists of twelve cinder cones. The youngest of these cinder cones is Kawah Ijen volcano. Magnetic survey is used to delineate the subsurface structures and to estimate the magnetic sources depth of the selected area. Edge enhancement using total horizontal derivative is mainly used to delineate the subsurface structures while the 3D Euler deconvolution is used not only to delineate major subsurface structures but also to determine the structural indices of them as well as the depth of the magnetic sources. The calculated structural indices show that the area is mainly affected by source which interpreted to be related to fault and contact/ thin sheet. Estimated source location shows that source beneath Kawah Ijen are connected to Jampit, Rantih and Merapi as rim volcanoes. Edge enhancement using total horizontal derivative represent the delineation of subsurface structure trending southwest - northeast, coincide with the fault orientation of survey area based on geological map

Mechanism of High Frequency Shallow Earthquake Source in Mount Soputan, North Sulawesi
Get PDFDOI: 10.17014/ijog.v6i3.122Moment tensor analysis had been conducted to understand the source mechanism of earthquakes in Soputan Volcano during October - November 2010 period. The record shows shallow earthquakes with frequency about 5 - 9 Hz. Polarity distribution of P-wave first onset indicates that the recorded earthquakes are predominated by earthquakes where almost at all stations have the same direction of P-wave first motions, and earthquakes with upward first motions.In this article, the source mechanism is described as the second derivative of moment tensor, approached with first motion amplitude inversion of P-wave at some seismic stations. The result of moment tensor decomposition are predominated by earthquakes with big percentage in ISO and CLVD component. Focal mechanism shows that the recorded earthquakes have the same strike in northeast-southwest direction with dip about 400 - 600. The sources of the high frequency shallow earthquakes are in the form of tensile-shear cracks or a combination between crack and tensile faulting.</p

Hotel Strategy Facing The Covid-19 Pandemic (Case Study: The Lovina Bali Resort)
No full textAbstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has brought many changes to the world. One of the sectors directly affected is tourism. The impact on the tourism sector is due to the implementation of a travel ban policy and a large-scale social restriction policy, resulting in a decrease in domestic and foreign tourists. One that is closely related to the tourism sector is hospitality. This study aims to examine the management strategy of The Lovina Bali Resort in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. This research used descriptive qualitative methods with virtual interview techniques and a literature study. The informants selected in this study were HRD also as General Affairs. As a result, the strategy implemented by the hotel, in this case, The Lovina Bali Resort, is a generic service and communication strategy. This strategy is expected to be a reference for other hotels to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic.

BUSINESS STRATEGY IN THE RESTAURANT "PADA WAREG ECO PARK" BASED ON INTERNAL-EXTERNAL MATRIX
No full textAbstract: This study aims to formulate the right strategy to be applied to the Wareg Eco Park business by taking into account external and internal factors and determining alternative strategies that should be prioritized. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with analytical techniques using the EFE matrix, IFE matrix, and IE matrix. Result of the IE matrix analysis showing that alternative strategies can be used are product development and market penetration. The top four are developing products to meet the needs of consumer groups; employee training to improve service and quality of food menus; adding eco park features; developing special products such as special menus and tourist rides; maintain and develop a restaurant concept with an eco park as a unique feature of Pada Wareg Eco Park restaurant.

No full text23 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilen odak grup görüşmeleri ve mülakatlardan elde edilen bulgular şöyledir: Öğrenciler çalışma sırasında yapmış oldukları etkinlikler ile tarihsel kavrama ile tarihsel analiz ve yorum becerilerini geliştirebilmişlerdir. Aynı zamanda; gazete manşeti hazırlama, tarihsel roman paragrafı yazma ve tarihsel roman kapağı tasarlama çalışmaları ile birlikte tarihsel imgelem becerilerini de geliştirebilmişlerdir. Öğrenciler tarihsel romanlar ile tarih öğretimi sürecini eğlenceli ve zevkli bulmuşlardır. Çalışmada kendilerini ifade edebildiklerini, farklı bakış açıları geliştirebildiklerini ve bu sayede Türk denizcilik tarihine dair yeni bilgiler edinebildiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Çalışmanın amacı ile öğrencilerin görüşlerinin örtüştüğü söylenebilir.h were all processed in the form of constative and content analysis. The worksheets were distributed to the high school sophomores and juniors in a course of 4 teaching hours and while the author The Fisherman of Halicarnassus’ “Turgut Reis” novel was used for the sophomores, the author’s “Uluc Reis” novel was used for the juniors.The focus group meetings and interviews conducted with the research group of 23 people yielded the following results: In this work, students have developed their historical perception, analysis and commenting skills. In the same time, the have developed their historical imagination skills by preparing newspaper headlines, outlining historical novels and writing its paragraps. The students found history education more enjoyable with the help of historical novels and indicated that they became able to express themselves, develop new points of view, hence acquired brand new information about the Turkish naval history. In a nutshell, it can be said that the purpose of the research is corroborated by feedback of the research group

No full textBu araştırmada öğrencilerin tarihsel düşünme becerisini geliştirebilmek adına tarihsel romanlar ile tarih öğretimi çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı Türk denizcilik tarihinin öğretiminde tarihsel romanların kullanımı ile ilgili bir ders sürecinin planlanması, uygulanması, uygulamanın verimliliğinin, tarih öğretiminde kullanılabilirliğinin ve öğrencilerin görüşlerinin tespit edilmesidir. Bu çerçeve kapsamında 10. ve 11. sınıf tarih derslerinde Türk denizcilik tarihinin öğretimi temel alınarak tarihsel romanlarla tarih öğretimi süreci tasarlanmıştır. Uygulama sürecinde ilk derste araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan çalışma yaprakları sınıf içerisinde etkileşimli bir ortam oluşturularak doldurulmuş ve çeşitli etkinlikler gerçekleştirilmiştir. İkinci derste öğrencilerle birlikte odak grup görüşmesi yapılmış, öğrencilerin çalışma ile ilgili düşünceleri alınmış ve bu düşünceler ses kayıt cihazı ile kaydedilmiştir. Çalışmanın bitiminde çalışmaya katılan bazı öğrenciler ile mülakatlar yapılmış, mülakatlar da ses kayıt cihazı ile kaydedilmiştir. Araştırma, İstanbul ili, Tuzla ilçesinde bulunan özel bir okulda yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 23 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma nitel bir araştırma olup eylem araştırması modeline uygundur. Bu kapsamda; çalışma yaprakları, mülakat, odak grup görüşmesi ve ses kayıt cihazı aracılığı ile veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışma yaprakları tarih dersi kapsamında 10. ve 11. sınıf seviyelerinden öğrencilere toplam dört ders saatinde uygulanmıştır. Çalışma yapraklarında 10. sınıflar için Halikarnas Balıkçısı’nın Turgut Reis adlı tarihsel romanı kullanılmıştır. 11. sınıflar için ise Halikarnas Balıkçısı’nın UluçThis research designed a history teaching activity which involves the use of historical novels in order to enhance the historical thinking skills of students. The purpose of the research is to design and implement a lesson plan which includes the use of historical novels, check the efficiency of such a lesson plan in history education and understand the viewpoint of the research group of high school students. Regarding this purpose, a lesson plan focusing on naval history has been prepared for high school sophomores and juniors. During the implementation process’ first lesson, worksheets prepared by the researcher were filled in an interactive class environment and various activities on naval history were completed. In the second lesson, focus groups were formed with students and the students’ responses were recorded with a sound recorder. At the end of the implementation process, some students were also invited in one-on-one viva voce interviews, which were also recorded. The research was conducted in a private school situated in the Tuzla province of Istanbul and included 23 students. The research is classified as a qualitative research and data were collected in the form of worksheets, interview recordings and focus group recordings, which were all processed in the form of constative and content analysis.
