Challenges and suggestions for raising children with autism spectrum disorder: A literature review
Being a parent is a journey that is both rewarding and challenging; however, this journey can be particularly challenging for parents who are raising a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Drawing on secondary sources, this review article aims to synthesize findings from previous research to examine the key challenges encountered by parents of children with ASD. Key challenges identified are related to psychological, social, marital, physical, financial, and behavioral challenges. The review also discusses practical suggestions to mitigate these challenges, focusing on prioritizing well-being, building strong social networks, strengthening marital relationships, exploring different financial resources, and managing behavioral challenges. By discussing both the challenges and solutions, this review article provides valuable insights into how to raise a child with ASD, helping parents navigate this difficult journey with resilience and hope. The article concludes by discussing its limitations and providing suggestions for future research
In commemoration of professor V.P. Karpov
This article is about professor Karpov V.P., a prominent scientist, first rector of Yekaterinoslav Medical Academy. Biography of a great investigator, his main achievements in the area of histology, biology, theory and history of medicine was studied. Professor Karpov V.P. always combined his great scientific, organizational and research work with social activity. Monographs of professor Karpov V.P. and conferences organized by him were of great importance in the solution of such new problems as theary of microscope and cell amitosis. Professor Karpov is a founder of a large school of histology. Thanks to his active participation and personal guidance, in 1917 department of histology was founded in Yekaterinoslav Medical Institute. The author of the article has analyzed Hippocrates` works translated into Russian by professor Karpov V.P. and pointed out their significance for modern medical science and practice

The Market Maven, a new ally in the diffusion of innovations process
The initial motive for undertaking this research, was a desire to better understand those
factors which were said to affect the diffusion of ethnic foods. In attempting to develop
the general methodology for this study, the author revisited seminal studies on
diffusion of innovations, word-of-mouth, opinion leadership, and innovator / early
adopter influence. During this process, the author discovered Feick and Price's (1987),
emergent "Market Maven", theory. Said to be distinctly different from opinion leaders
and early adopters, market mavens were not only believed to have a higher awareness
of general marketplace information, but also more source credibility than other word-
of-mouth influencers. Employing a replication study approach, a telephone survey of
400 households in urban, suburban and rural north Bedfordshire was undertaken. The
author found that the market maven construct was not a purely US phenomenon, but
was also present in the UK. Developing further Feick and Price's (1987) preliminary
investigations, this study confirmed that (in common with related opinion leadership
studies), it had not been possible to identify market mavens using demographic / socio-
economic variables. VAiilst classifying market mavens remained problematic, the
author was nonetheless able to confirm Feick and Price's (1987) earlier findings, that
market mavens had an inherently increased propensity for general marketplace
information gathering. As this behaviour was considered by the author to be unique to
market mavens, the construct was employed to test those factors, said to affect ethnic
food diffusion, with interesting, if largely inconclusive results.
The author concluded, that the potential of the market maven construct in the diffusion
of innovations process was significant, particularly as a conduit for internal word-of-
mouth information in the business-to-business / industrial marketing context. In that
situation, market mavens' heightened awareness of, and active search for, general
marketplace information, would make them ideal targets for the type of marketing
communication message that innovators and opinion leaders alike, reputedly ignore

The rationalistic language perspective. Sketches from the modern philosophy of language
Zdigitalizowano i udostępniono w ramach projektu pn. Rozbudowa otwartych zasobów naukowych Repozytorium Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku – kontynuacja, dofinansowanego z programu „Społeczna odpowiedzialność nauki” Ministra Edukacji i Nauki na podstawie umowy BIBL/SP/0040/2023/01.The collected wark reflects the author's 20 years of research on the subject of modern philosophy of language. The select texts were inspired by studies on literature concerning the XVIIth century reflection on language, which are shaped in the rationalistic tradition. The central actors of the rationalistic tradition are Descartes and Leibniz. Notwithstanding the fact that Descartes never dealt with the problem of language, his theary of the mind has become a tool for the XVIIth century philosophers who research on problems related to language. This collection of research being The Port-Royal Grammar, is one of the milestones of studies on language. However, this author argues that is not Descartes, but
G.W. Leibniz who built the foundation the modern philosophy of language. In support of this author's contentions, she presents vast research conducted by Leibniz, inclusive of his studies on genealogy of languages, as well as Leibniz's entire theory on the language and mind. In the book, the author attempts to strike balance between the achievements of the school of Decartes and select problems pertaining to Leibniz's philosophy of language. The book starts off with the Platonian language perspective essay, which presents the general scope of all problems encompassed in the book. The essay is aIso a point of departure to a more detailed analysis in the following sketches, which includes, but is not limited to the problems of the nature of the language, its origin and role in the cognitive process. Although the sketches are separate studies, it is relatable and can be compared to the problems captured in the title of the book. The author also attaches articles based on modern research, for which the rational tradition may provide a necessary philosophical background. The author purposefully in each text avoids using
the term 'anticipation', and draws attention only to the unity of thoughts and ideas in different systems of knowledge.Wydanie publikacji sfinansowano ze środków Wydziału Prawa Uniwersytetu w BiałymstokuArnauld A., Nicole P., Logika, czyli sztuka myślenia, tłum.
