Mr. and Mrs. Summers taught school beginning in the decade after 1910. This interview deals with their teaching experiences in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and other West Virginia counties. At the time of the interview, Mr. and Mrs. Summers resided in Walton, West Virginia. Mrs. Summers was responsible for the formation of the Kanawha County hot lunch program.
