LÄMPÖVÄREILYN VAIKUTUS MITTAUSETÄISYYKSIIN JA -TARKKUUKSIIN RADAN KUNNOSSAPITOMITTAUKSISSA
Lähtökohtana tämän opinnäytetyön tekemiselle oli tarve selvittää tarkemmin lämpöväreilyn vaikutusta radan kunnossapitomittauksiin. Lämpöväreily on kesäisin lähes päivittäinen ilmiö, joka vaikuttaa mittausten luotettavuuteen. Työn tavoitteena oli selvittää mahdolliset mittausetäisyydet tietyissä lämpötiloissa, sekä tutkia vaikutusta korkeudensiirron tuloksiin. Työn tuloksia hyödynnettäisiin Destia Rail Oy:n radan kunnossapitomittauksissa. Tulosten myötä virheiden mahdollisuutta saataisiin minimoitua ja mittausten laatua parannettua.
Ongelmana ja haasteena oli aikaansaada neutraalit tutkimusolosuhteet, jotka vastaisivat mahdollisimman monia lämpöväreilyä aiheuttavia mittausolosuhteita rataympäristössä. Tutkimusmenetelmänä käytettiin normaalia radan kun-nossapidon mittaustilannetta vastaavaa mittaussuoritusta. Mittauksia toistettiin useissa eri lämpötilassa samoilla periaatteilla. Lähtötietoina käytettiin käytännön mittauksista saatuja kokemuksia, joiden mukaan määriteltiin työtavat ja rajat työn suorittamiselle.
Työssä myös pohdittiin mittaukseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä ja niiden merkitystä mittaustuloksiin. Johtopäätöksinä saatiin selville suositeltavat mittausetäisyydet eri mittaustavoille.The purpose of this thesis was to study how thermal radiation affects the maintenance measurement of the railway network areas. Thermal radiation is a daily phenomenon, especially during the summer time. Thermal radiation affects the reliability of the measurements. The goal of the thesis was to find out the possible measurement distances to be used at certain temperatures. In addition, the objective was to research the effect on the results of height transfer. The results of this thesis will be used in Destia Rail Oy’s maintenance measurements. With the results, the measure errors could then be minimized and the improve the quality of the measurement.
It was challenging to create neutral research conditions which would be similar to the conditions in the railway environment. The research method used was based on the normal maintenance measurement in the railway conditions. The Measurements were conducted and repeated at different temperatures using the same principles. The Initial data was based on the practical experience of the author, which affected the research methods and the limitations of this the-sis.
The thesis discussed the factors affecting the railway measurement and how they affect the reliability of the measurement results. As a conclusion, the recommended measurement distances for the different measurement methods were found out
Generalisation of Hydrography Networks for a Vario-scale Basemap
The vario-scale concept has proved an alternative for the well known discrete multi-scale solution. However the vario-scale concept is still ongoing research and requires further development e.g. on how to generate better content for vario-scale maps? This research does focus on how to incorporate hydrography networks in the vario-scale solution and how to continuously generalise hydrography networks throughout all scales.The pre-processing of topographic data is adjusted, information on hydrography features that are below another feature is stored and hydrography line features are added. The planar partition created in the pre-processing is used for the creation of the initial topological Generalised Area Partition (tGAP). Hydrography graphs are created by iterating over all hydrography features in the data structure and storing the hydrography features as objects and the connection between two neighbouring hydrography features as links. Based on the links between objects the connected components, in this case the hydrography networks are created. There can be multiple hydrography networks in one data set, which are used for the decisions made in the generalisation process. The proposed improvements and decisions for hydrography features do result in meaningful hydrography networks throughout all scales and are an improvement to the vario-scale approach without these improvements and decisions.Geomatic
Rhythm in Multimodal Texts
The author presents a hier-archical model of rhythm in lan-guage, music and action and ap-plies it to the integration of these semiotic modes in multimodal texts. The model distinguishes be-tween rhythm and meter; meter is shown to synchronize the rhyth-mic hierarchies of musical instru-ments, as well as of voice, music and action. The author identifies the meanings conveyed by variet-ies of multimodal synchronization. </jats:p

Osnivanje i djelovanje "Hrvatskog športskog saveza" prije 1 svjetskog rata i "Odbora za priređivanje športskih utakmica u korist Crvenog Križa" za vrijeme samoga rata imalo je izvanredno pozitivan utjecaj i dalekosežno značenje za daljnji razvoj sporta ne samo u hrvatskoj nego i u ostalim našim krajevima.In this work the author shows the development and work of some sport organisations in Croatia before, during and after the First World War, among which the most important were "Croatian Sport Union" and "Sport Matches Union to Benefit Red Cross". These organisation had great influence on the development of sport in Croatian and other parts of Yugoslavia.
Especially important was the foundation of "Yugoslav Soccer Union" and Yugoslav Olimpic Committee" in which "Croatian Sport Union" directly took part
Continuous Road Network Generalization throughout All Scales
Until now, road network generalization has mainly been applied to the task of generalizing from one fixed source scale to another fixed target scale. These actions result in large differences in content and representation, e.g., a sudden change of the representation of road segments from areas to lines, which may confuse users. Therefore, we aim at the continuous generalization of a road network for the whole range, from the large scale, where roads are represented as areas, to mid- and small scales, where roads are represented progressively more frequently as lines. As a consequence of this process, there is an intermediate scale range where at the same time some roads will be represented as areas, while others will be represented as lines. We propose a new data model together with a specific data structure where for all map objects, a range of valid map scales is stored. This model is based on the integrated and explicit representation of: (1) a planar area partition; and (2) a linear road network. This enables the generalization process to include the knowledge and understanding of a linear network. This paper further discusses the actual generalization options and algorithms for populating this data structure with high quality vario-scale cartographic content
Property evidence in construction company
Práce se zabývá problematikou evidence majetku ve stavební společnosti. Autor práce popisuje specifika práce s majetkem ve stavební společnosti a má za cíl vytvořit model evidence v databázovém softwaru. Práce obsahuje teoretický popis vývoje návrhu, který se dělí na konceptuální, logický a fyzický návrh. Na ten navazuje popis samotných specifik evidence v stavebním podniku. Inspirací od podobných modelů se vytvořil model databáze. Metodou porovnání autor vybral software, ve kterém databázi podle modelu vytvořil, a navrhl metody pro urychlení práce s databází.The work covers the problematics of evidence of assets in construction company. The author describes the specifics of the work with assets in construction company and has a goal to create a model of an evidence by using database software. The work contains a teoretical description of the design development, which is divided to the conceptual, logical and physical part. This is followed by a specifics description of construction company evidence. The model was created by inspiration from similar models. The author used comparison method to choose software he used to create database according to the model, and he suggested methods to speed-up the proces of work with database
Spatial patterns of links between temperature extremes and cardiovascular mortality in the Czech Republic
Name of the thesis: Spatial patterns of links between temperature extremes and cardiovascular mortality in the Czech Republic Author: Mgr. Aleš Urban Previous studies have examined relationships of high and low air temperatures to mortality due to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in the Czech Republic as a whole. Much less has been understood about possible regional differences in the heat and cold effects on mortality. Within four papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, the author of this thesis investigated links between extreme temperatures and CVD mortality in the Czech Republic while considering in particular differences between (i) urban and rural areas, (ii) regions with different socioeconomic status, and (iii) regions with different physical-environmental conditions. Various biometeorological approaches were compared in order to identify meteorological characteristics affecting heat- and cold-related mortality. Excess mortality was determined as differences between observed and expected daily values, the latter being adjusted for long-term changes, annual and weekly cycles, and epidemics of influenza/acute respiratory infections. Applicability of the integrated project delivery system in the Czech construction industry
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá integrovaným dodavatelským systémem a jeho využitím v českém stavebnictví. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části autor popisuje jednotlivé dodavatelské systémy, které následně mezi sebou porovnává. Dále jsou popsány typy kontraktů využívaných pro provedení stavebního díla. V praktické části jsou provedeny analýzy průběhu výstavby systémem Design-Bid-Build a integrovaným dodavatelským systémem. Na závěr dochází ke zhodnocení využitelnosti integrovaného dodavatelského systému v českém stavebnictví a jsou vysvětleny důvody, proč české stavební firmy tento systém nevyužívají.This Master's thesis deals with Integrated Project Delivery and its applicability in the Czech construction industry. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part, the author describes individual project delivery systems which he then compares with each other. Furthermore types of contracts used for construction work are described. In practical part, analyzes of the construction process using the Design-Bid-Build system and the Integrated Project Delivery system are performed. At the end, the applicability of the Integrated Project Delivery system in the Czech construction industry is evaluated and reasons why Czech construction companies do not use this system are explained
Application of intelligent transport systems in road traffic of the Republic of Croatia
Tema ovog rada je primjena Inteligentnih transportnih sustava u cestovnom prometu u Republici Hrvatskoj. U prvom dijelu rada, teoretski se objašnjava pojam ITS-a, opisuju se funkcionalne usluge unutar ITS-a te arhitektura istog.
Nakon toga, govori se o Inteligentnom nadzoru upravljanja prometom, točnije o razvoju inteligentnih prometnica i vozila.
U glavnom dijelu rada, objašnjava se uporaba ITS-a u cestovnom prometu RH. Autor opisuje početke razvoja ITS-a u Hrvatskoj, interese gospodarstva, razloge uvođenja ITS-a te ciljeve istih, a naposlijetku daje konkretne primjere ITS-ovih usluga u Republici Hrvatskoj nakon kojih daje zaključak na temu.The topic of this thesis is the application of Intelligent Transport Systems in road traffic in the Republic of Croatia. In the first part of the work, the concept of ITS is theoretically explained, functional services within ITS and its architecture are described.
After that, we talk about Intelligent Traffic Management Supervision, more specifically about the development of intelligent roads and vehicles.
In the main part of the work, the use of ITS in-road traffic in the Republic of Croatia is explained. The author describes the beginnings of the development of ITS in Croatia, the interests of the economy, the reasons for the introduction of ITS and their goals, and finally gives concrete examples of ITS services in the Republic of Croatia, after which he gives a conclusion on the topic
Transcendental aspects of architectural design as factors of sustainability
This thesis deals with complex processes, relationships and phenomena which go beyond the assumed and accepted materialistic perception of the world in general and the process of architectural design specifically. It clarifies and actually redefine the sustainability from a point of higher universal principles forming our environment. At the beginning this thesis presents an extensive knowledge base of existing holistic design systems including Feng-shui, sacred geometry, geomancy or numerology. The purpose is to build and establish a solid foundation for understanding and further research as well as objectively interpreting lesser known topics as a whole. On the basis of intersecting information through the above mentioned topics we specify the hypothesis which proposes the pre-existence of one unifying design matrix of harmonic structures in architecture. The structure of its verification takes us from an analysis of the science of human perception to systems of self-similar contextual references of animated and inanimated forms. These systems of emergent form and flow are basically known as fractals, and could be expressed in both mathematical and geometrical languages. The thesis research then consists of analysing chosen examples of urban and architectural scale in sense of fractality, symbolism and geometrical matrices. We include and integrate the research of associated and relevant phenomena in pedagogical practice, and a case study of the application of fractals in development of a chosen town. From the results of this thesis we abstract five non-dogmatic guidelines or tenets for architectural design; which are supported by experimental verification on some of the author´s buildings. These tenets stand as pillars of implosive architecture. This kind of architecture in context of transcendental overlaps means a possibility of how to bring our anthropogenic environment closer to the natural and harmonic code of the Universe
