Asia Resilient Cities: Identifying Nature-based Solutions to Waterlogging with Photovoice
This study documented the pressing, multifaceted challenge of waterlogging in Khulna from the perspective of residents are often left out of city planning processes, namely youth. Through visual storytelling, youth learned how to describe the topic of waterlogging in a compelling photography exhibit, which meant these youth, along with other residents of Khulna, and experts (including officials from Khulna City Corporation (KCC), Khulna Development Authority (KDA), ward councilors, and academics) could interact with the topic in a new manner and generate new ideas around nature-based solutions to address waterlogging
Asia Resilient Cities Annual Report - Year 2 (2023-2024)
The U.S. Agency for International Development-funded Asia Resilient Cities (ARC) Project addresses cross-cutting urban development challenges in select cities in Asia by promoting sustainable urban growth, supporting resilient, low-carbon urban infrastructure, and integrating climate change and environmentally-conscious approaches. ARC partners with cities—Bishkek in Kyrgyz Republic, Khulna in Bangladesh, Makassar in Indonesia, Rajkot in India, and Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia—to foster more resilient and livable environments. This report covers ARC's work through the end of project year 2 (September 2024)
Asia Resilient Cities: Rajkot Green Livelihoods Scoping Study
This scoping study was designed to inform implementation of green livelihoods activities for women in Rajkot, India. Completed by the Asia Resilient Cities project (with support from ISC), the data were collected in late 2024 and early 2025. This collection of mixed method data and documentation provide insights into how to support green livelihoods in four sectors: urban agriculture, waste management, renewable energy, and green construction.
Note that ARC project was terminated as part of the USAID re-organization in February 2025, before a final report could be shared or results could be used for implementation

Asia Resilient Cities: Bishkek Systems Map
ARC uses systems thinking approaches to understand the various complex challenges and opportunities in Bishkek. The
project engages a diverse group of city stakeholders and government officials to become systems thinkers in order to jointly
create potential activities for system strengthening and resilience building. One tool ARC uses is a system map, which serves
as a visual backbone of the project because it depicts connections between different perspectives, behaviors, and structures
that form the city system. This completed system map guides ARC and city stakeholders to define a road map for Bishkek to
promote resilient and sustainable urban development. ARC facilitated a series of workshops to jointly develop, or “co-create,”

These data were collected in late 2024 and early 2025 as part of a larger study on the urban healthcare system in Rajkot, India. Phase 1 data and related documents are saved here. Phase 1 was designed to answer the research question "What is the availability and quality of Rajkot’s urban primary healthcare services, focusing on their capacity to withstand shocks and stresses?" NOTE: Due to the USAID Stop Work Order and unplanned termination, we were not able to complete data cleaning on this file, other than to ensure de-identification. Users should thoroughly check content for any outliers or missingness
