This research comes as part of the Quranic studies which aims at studying and investigating the manuscriptCof Al Naji response on the abrogator and the abrogated by Burhan Edeen Al Naji who died in 900 H.The focus on the scholars' legacy and their writtings and bringing them to light is one of the reasons for choosing to study this manuscript, and it's importance comes for the high status of it's author , in addition to the scient ific value of the manuscript. The research consisted of an introduction and two parts : the first part consisted of two areas of research: the first area on studying the author life and his scientific status ,and the second on studying the manuscript and the substatiation of its attribution, discription ,methodology and resources. And the second part is on investigation of the manuscript and then the conclusion in which I mentioned the key findings like : Apprenticeship of Burhan Edeen at the important maintainers of his time which had an impact on his high scientific position and his entrenchment in Hadith sciences and multiplicity of his modern authorities like: Availability of Scientific Evidence Inherits Prevelance of Probability, this authority was by Burhan Edeen Al Naji and also Al Naji did not intend to handle all the abrogated verses in Quran but just establishment of the occurrence of the abrogation with the indication that it was from Quran and then abrogated in reciting

    Journey of a committed paleodemographer

    No full text
This book is dedicated to Jean-Pierre Bocquet-Appel, anthropologist and biologist, one of the founding fathers of palaeodemography in France, who died in 2018. Known and recognised worldwide, he contributed to the development of new techniques for estimating the age at death of skeletal assemblages and promoted the introduction of estimators in palaeodemography. He also participated in the emergence of spatial demography and multi- agent modelling, particularly of Neolithic farmers. We owe him a considerable advance in the understanding of demographic processes linked to the great transitions that humans have experienced in different parts of the world with the discovery of the signature of the demographic transition implied in the passage of societies from a collection economy to an agricultural economy. This book offers a journey to the heart of his life as a researcher, taking in turn, in a diachronic and multidisciplinary approach, anthropological demography from prehistory to the contemporary period. It also paints a generous portrait of this committed man who has never ceased to work for his discipline, whether through a reflective approach to the history of science and epistemology or the transmission of his knowledge to younger generations. This book invites you to an original and innovative experience on the borders of a rare discipline, paleodemography

This book is dedicated to Jean-Pierre Bocquet-Appel, anthropologist and biologist, one of the founding fathers of palaeodemography in France, who died in 2018. Prediction of Psychological Disorders among Palestinian Children Using Data Mining Techniques

    No full text
Abstract: The psychological disorders have increased especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Such mental disorders increased with the continuity of the military escalation, wars, and violence in Palestine. Such an unhealthy environment caused a third of the Palestinian population to need psychological health services. Furthermore, children have more suffering from such psychological disorders and need much effort to make recover their normal mental health. This study aims to investigate the prediction of psychological disorders among Palestinian children and identify the proper machine learning classifier using data Mining techniques. The dataset was collected from handwriting clinical psychologist papers under the supervision of a psychologist. 133 instances were distributed on 54 mental attributes including the class attribute. The study focuses on eight simple and complex psychological disorders. However, eight classification models of machine learning were utilized. Results show that all models (AdaBoost, Neural Network, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, SVM, Tree, KNN, and Naive Bayes) have an excellent AUC (more than 0.9). Furthermore, five models that are AdaBoost, Neural Network, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and SVM have an acceptable accuracy between 94% to 98.5%. Poetic Machines: an investigation into the impact of the characteristics of the digital apparatus on poetic expression

    No full text
This thesis aims to investigate digital methods of signification in order to examine the impact of the apparatus on poetic expression. This is done through a critical analysis of the translation process from analogue to digital, in the sense that even as we read a page we are in fact translating sight into sound. The resulting effects of this change in form are explored in order to understand their impact on meaning-making in the digital realm. Through this interrogation the comprehension and definition of ePoetry (electronic poetry or digital poetry) is extended, by exposing the unique affordances and specificities of digital expression. Digital poetry theorists such as Loss Pequeño Glazier posit that the emerging field of electronic literature is composed of interweaving strands from the areas of computer science, sociology, and literary studies. This is reflected in the interdisciplinary nature of this thesis, which necessitates an engagement with the broad areas of translation, literature, and digital media studies. Currently the pervasiveness of digital technology and access to the Internet means that the creation and consumption of online content such as ePoetry is becoming seamless and apparently effortless. Whilst recent studies have explored electronic literature as a field, there is a noticeable deficit of research that specifically focuses on ePoetry, a deficit that this thesis seeks to rectify. Within this work cybernetic and technosocial theories of communication are drawn on which provide as much emphasis on the apparatus, as is afforded to the author and reader. Traditional poetry criticism is problematised with reference to its suitability for application to online works in order to develop a comprehensive ePoetry rhetoric that explores not only what is being said, but also crucially how it is being said. Theories of translation are also used as a context in which to analyse the transposition of poetry from analogue to digital. This framework then forms the basis for a study that explores the move from print to pixel by analysing qualitative ePoet interviews as well as their corresponding ePoems

Assessment of the Contingency Theory on Performance Mobile Learning in the Palestinian Higher Education Institutions during Coronavirus Pandemic: Moodle Case Study

    No full text
Abstract: COVID-19 which declared by The World Health Organization (WHO) as pandemic in March 2020 created a contingency situation that affected all human life situation and there has been a huge shift in the way people teach, learn and work. Such pandemic situation provided uncertainty environment in the Palestinian Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), especially since they had to utilize a full learning environment such as Moodle replacing the conventional (face-to-face, blended, or hybrid). This study aims to investigate the factors of contingency theory on students’ performance of Moodle as m-learning system in the Palestinian HEIs during coronavirus pandemic. However, the contingent learning management systems are flexible in choosing and adapting strategies to suit change in situation at a particular period in time during running of the education institutions. The primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires (survey) to the students of six Palestinian higher education in Gaza strip. 480 students have successfully responded to answer the questionnaire. Results shows that the Design Maturity explain 50.8% of the Moodle performance. Furthermore, among its variables Management variable is the best predictor of Moodle Performance followed by Implementation. The best predictor of Contingency variables is Individual followed by Tasks and Environment with 50.1% of explanation of the Design Maturity. Indeed, students registered some recommendations and a practical comment that should be considered by the universities to make some actions to enhance Moodle performance and its utilization in their environments.
