STARTING UP A NEW B2C BUSINESS

    No full text
Everyone who wanted to start their own businesses faced with the problem of lack of information on how to start a new business in general, and about the features of doing business in a particular area. The thesis reveals questions about what steps need to be taken to launch a premium burger restaurant on the Helsinki market, and moreover the research considers the reasonability of its launch. To find out the state of the market and the industry as a whole, the author conducts two types of research, namely: the researcher conducts two qualitative interviews with the founders of successful premium burger restaurant chains in Helsinki and beyond, and also the writer conducts a quantitative market segmentation survey to define target customers for the new restaurant. In conclusion, the author of the thesis creates a viable business plan on the basis of conducted researches and knowledge gained during university studies. Currently, the company is on the stage of development and the management team searches for funding to start the restaurant

Developing and investigating method of differential photo-answer images for diagnostics of semiconductor device and integrated circuit defects

    No full text
The investigation aim is to made the corresponding facilities for diagnostics of the electrically active surface and volumetric defects in the semiconductor structures with their possible localization in the three-dimensional space. The localization and identification possibility of the electrically active defects of semiconductor structures in the three-dimensional space has been theoretically substantiated. The methods and two-ray differential microscope for diagnostics of the surface and volumetric defects in semiconductor structures by a photo-answer image method have been developed. The developed methods and equipment have been introduced in the small State Scientific-Production Enterprise "Regionalny tsentr diagnostiki". Application field: production of semiconductor devices and materialsAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio

Searching for A Dark Photon in the Hps Experiment

    No full text
The Heavy Photon Search (HPS) experiment at Jefferson Lab is designed to search for a hypothesized elementary particle called a dark (heavy) photon. Such a particle would behave as a mediator between dark matter and the Standard Model through a kinetic mixing with the Standard Model’s photon. The search is performed by scattering GeV-scale electrons off tungsten nuclei in a fixed target and looking for a resonance and/or displaced vertices amidst a background of radiative QED trident events. These background events are kinematically identical to the events in which dark photons are produced and decay into lepton pairs. Several other types of reactions take place in this experiment, such as Bethe-Heitler tridents, Moeller scattering, wide-angle bremsstrahlung and elastic scattering off the nucleus. Each of these types of background reactions are used for calibration of the detector. For one of these calibration studies, we have measured the form factors for electrons scattering elastically and nearly-elastically off a carbon target and compared these to predicted values. A resonance search, performed on 10% of the dataset taken in 2016 with a 2.306 GeV beam, shows no sign of a dark photon in the mass range 45-200 MeV. Preliminary upper limits on the square of the dark-photon’s kinetic coupling to the Standard Model photon have been set in the 10−6 − 10−5 range at 95% confidence for every mass hypothesis in this mass range.PhysicsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.

Тема как элемент интертекста в методике преподавания русской литературы в иностранной аудитории

    No full text
The article focuses on the development of a method of teaching fiction to foreign students through the creation of intertext. The objective of the research is the study of the works of Russian classics in their thematic unity, and the ways of their methodological application. The research aims to develop courses in literature and teaching aids for foreign students enrolled in programs related the Russian literature. The research methods include selection and adaptation of texts by themes and their approbation in a foreign classroom. To date, the author has developed special courses on the following topics: “A person of no consequence in the Russian Literature” and “Hamlet in the Russian Literature”, partially reflected in the Literature for Foreign Students (the first part has been published; the other two are in the process of publication).

THE REACTION OF INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES TO CRISIS: CHANGES IN BUSINESS-MODEL AND STRATEGIC SUSTAINABILITY

    No full text
Nowadays the changes in the geopolitical situation significantly affect the conditions for doing business in Russia. The article reviews the peculiarities of the development of Russian industrial companies and the subsidiaries of foreign companies, operating in Russia, in difficult economic conditions. The contemporary consequences of global financial crisis of 2008 with respect to the industrial sector of the economy are also reviewed. The author performed an empirical study of the question of whether the companies' sustainable survival in 2014–2016 was affected by the change in the business model and whether these changes were caused by the experience of the previous crisis. The study considered the differences in the behavior of foreign and Russian companies, and the strategies, that reduce the risk of default, are defined

The problem of intestinal dysbiosis and its correction with the use of preand probiotics remains a subject of on-going debate. Current data on intestinal dysbiosis, its clinical manifestations, the role of the intestinal microbiota in the life of the organism are presented in the article. The characteristic of proand prebiotics, symbiotic have been given. The methods of diagnosis of intestinal dysbiosis have been presented, their informativeness has been assessed. The author presents results of his own research of the effectiveness of the symbiotic drug with infants (n = 24) having intestinal dysbiosis. It has been found that the use of a symbiotic led to normalization of stool biochemical parameters, as well as to the decrease of growth of conditionally pathogenic intestinal biota
