Syskonen Stenberg i Árviesjávrrie

A family of C0 finite elements for Kirchhoff plates I: error analysis
A new finite element formulation for the Kirchhoff plate model is presented. The method is a displacement formulation with the deflection and the rotation vector as unknowns, and it is based on ideas stemming from a stabilized method for the Reissner–Mindlin model [R. Stenberg, in Asymptotic Methods for Elastic Structures, P. Ciarlet, L. Trabucho, and J. M. Viano, eds., de Gruyter, Berlin, 1995] and a method to treat a free boundary [P. Destuynder and T. Nevers, RAIRO Modél. Math. Anal. Numér., 22 (1988), pp. 217–242]. Optimal a priori and a posteriori error estimates are derived
Representation av talat språk i Pehr Stenbergs levernesbeskrivning : stildifferentiering som berättartekniskt grepp
The autobiography by the priest Pehr Stenberg (1758–1824) was recently published in five parts. The hand-written manuscript consists of nearly 5,000 handwritten pages. The autobiography offers a good opportunity to study regional, but primarily social, linguistic variation. In this article we analyse how spoken language is represented in the autobiography with respect to sociolinguistic differentiation. We have concentrated on representation in direct discourse and free direct discourse. One of the starting points is that Stenberg could not possibly remember exactly how things were said. It is therefore interesting to analyse the features of speech that have been chosen to give the impression of authenticity. This is seen in the use of demonstrative pronouns, choice of dialogue words and the custom of address as it appears in dialogue. An interesting stylistic trait is a sort of intensified dialogue, where speech appears without a leading verb in free direct discourse. Stenberg's ambition with the autobiography is partly artistic, as testified by the fictionalized dialogue. Sometimes Stenberg is influenced by the subject at hand, as seen in the way he lets the interlocutors speak in a formal way that bears a resemblance to written language. This is seen where a religious or moral problem is discussed. It stands in sharp contrast to the fluent style that Stenberg strives for and puts to effect in the use of pronouns, dialogue words and forms of address

A Sustainability Index of potential co-location of offshore wind farms and open water aquaculture
This paper presents the definition of a Sustainability Index for the co-location in marine areas of offshore
wind farms and aquaculture plans. The development of the index is focused on the application of MCE
technique based on physical constraints and biological parameters that are directly linked to the primary
production. The relevant physical factors considered are wind velocity and depth range (which directly
governs the choice of the site for energy production and for offshore technology), the relevant biological
parameters are SST, SST anomaly and CHL-a concentration (as a measurement of the productivity). The
further development of the technique, already used in open water aquaculture localization, consists in
converting raw data into sustainability scores, which have been combined using additive models, in
order to define the overall sustainability. The study area used to implement the computation of the
Sustainability Index (SI) was identified in the Danish portion of the Baltic Sea and in the western part of
the Danish North Sea. Results on the spatial distribution of the SI underline different responses as a
function of the physical and biological main influencing parameters
