The author of the letter states that Herrera was convinced to run by "a group of businessmen, including Jewish and Negro Leaders." The letter also explains Herrera's platform to run for Legislature: "jury service for women, no sales tax, no tax increase of any kind, and he is very to backing up on the wetback problem as is possible within state Jurisdiction." Copies of the letter were sent to Hector P. Garcia and Chris Alderete

Get PDFI 2024 er det 30 år sidan Olav H. Hauge døydde, og sjølv om forfattarskapen hans er levande både for lesarar og forskarar, er det faktisk like lenge sidan den førre forskingsantologien om Hauge, Tunn is. Om Olav H. Hauges forfattarskap, vart gjeven ut.
Det er med andre ord duka for å lese Olav H. Hauge på nytt. I Her må då ordi koma. Nye lesingar i Olav H. Hauges dikting skriv Idar Stegane, Fredrik Parelius, Stein Arnold Hevrøy, Henrik Indergaard, Ingrid Nielsen, Ingrid Skjerdal, Erling Aadland, Hadle Oftedal Andersen, Ole Karlsen og Torgeir Skorgen særleg om samverknaden mellom lesing og dikting, men også om poetiske rom, einsemd og himmellekamar hos Olav H. Hauge.
Den særeigne samanvevinga av eigne røynsler og opplevingar med stor diktekunst gjer at dikta til Hauge har ei eiga evne til å fornye seg; dei har alltid noko nytt å by på, sjølv for røynde Hauge-lesarar. Det er nok også ein av grunnane til at så mange forskarar har kasta seg over diktinga hans. Hauges diktarlandskap er konkret, men det rommar også mykje av anna dikting, og slik gjev det rom til mange ulike innfallsvinklar og lesemåtar
