No full textIn the morning a healthy 40 years old female had a successful spinal anesthetic with bupivacaine 1% 10 mg for hemorrhoidectomy followed by a second injection at midnight for severe pain. The second traumatic injection caused a conus medullaris/cauda equina lesion discovered by MRI 45 days later. The contribution of hyperbaric bupivacaine dosage and pencil point needle is discussed

Emphasizing with a Robot with a Personality
No full textIn recent decades, socially assisted robots (SAR) have found applications in various operational contexts where the elicitation of empathy is crucial for facilitating human-robot interaction, as it plays a pivotal role in building trust and rapport. However, a significant challenge lies in the complexity of empathy, as there is no universally applicable method for its elicitation. Different individuals express and experience empathy in diverse ways. This study delves into the factors that impact the level of empathy evoked by a social robot, measured through user perceptions gauged by standard questionnaires. An empirical mixed-design study involving 28 participants was conducted, utilizing a Furhat robot with either an ironic (empathetic) or apathetic (non-empathetic) identity during verbal interactions with users. The primary objective of this research is to explore the user perception of a robot with or without a specific personality, with a particular focus on the empathetic personality, known to enhance Theory of Mind (ToM). The investigation aims to discern the extent to which users’ perceptions are influenced by the personality of the robot and whether this influence varies based on the personalities of the users themselves

No full textNel 2019, al limite sud del centro storico della città di Senigallia (Ancona), presso il sedime di una villa privata ottocentesca, Villa Tarsi, e dell’annesso mulino, destinati a una nuova edificazione privata, è stato portato in luce un sito pluristratificato insediato dall’età repubblicana fino ai giorni nostri; l’area d’indagine è ubicata lungo il limite meridionale del centro storico della città, a poche decine di metri a sud del perimetro del circuito murario roveresco, circa 100 m a sud-ovest dell’area archeologica di prima età imperiale del Teatro “La Fenice” e 150 m a nord-est dell’area sacra di età repubblicana di via Baroccio, entrambe poste all’interno del circuito murario romano
