In neonates with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, is therapeutic hypothermia outside of current criteria safe? A literature review
Introduction: Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) can lead to catastrophic consequences. Published trials mean that Therapeutic Hypothermia has revolutionised available treatment but infants often must meet strict criteria. Objectives: To review relevant research that explores using Therapeutic Hypothermia in infants with HIE, who are usually excluded from Therapeutic Hypothermia. Design: A literature review was undertaken of research that considered Therapeutic Hypothermia use outside of the standard criteria. Data sources: Multiple databases formed part of a purposive search, alongside the open grey network, clinical trials network, Cochrane reviews, NICE guidance and National Institute for Health Research and local guidance. Findings: Five papers were reviewed, discussing Therapeutic Hypothermia after 6 h of age, infants with a syndromic diagnosis, late preterm infants (34–35weeks), post-natal collapse, surgical and cardiac infants and infants with major cranial haemorrhage. Overall the findings of the review are encouraging except for cohorts with cranial haemorrhage or syndromic diagnoses.</p
Elizabeth Taylor Film Stars book
Stars are an integral part of the global film industry. This is as true today, in the age of celebrity culture, as in the studio era. Each book in this major new BFI series focuses on an international film star, tracing the development of their star persona, their career trajectory and their acting and performance style. Some also examine the cultural significance of a star's work, as well as their lasting influence and legacy. The series ranges across a wide historical and geographical spectrum, from silent to contemporary cinema and from Hollywood to Asian cinemas, and addresses both child and adult stardom

Toy Stories Through Song: Pixar, Randy Newman and the Sublimated Film Musical
Toy Story (John Lasseter, 1995), Pixar’s first feature-length production and Hollywood’s first completely computer-generated animated film, is an international cultural phenomenon. This collection brings together a diverse range of scholars and practitioners who together explore the themes, compositional techniques, cultural significance and industry legacy of this landmark in contemporary cinema.
Topics range from industrial concerns, such as the film’s groundbreaking use of computer generated imagery and the establishment of Pixar as a major player in the animation world, to examinations of its music, aesthetics, and the role of toys in both the film and its fandom. The Toy Story franchise as a whole is also considered, with chapters looking at its cross-generational appeal and the experience of growing up alongside the series.
As the first substantial work on this landmark film, this book will serve as an authoritative introduction for scholars, students and fans alike
