    Leading chiral logarithms of KS→γγ and KS→γl+l− at two loops

    AbstractWe obtain the leading divergences at two-loop order for the decays KS→γγ and KS→γl+l− using only one-loop diagrams. We then find the double chiral logarithmic corrections to the decay branching ratio of KS→γγ and to the decay rate for KS→γl+l−. It turns out that these effects are numerically small and therefore make a very small enhancement on the branching ratio and decay rate. We also derive an expression for the corrections of type logμ×LEC. Numerical analysis done for the process KS→γγ shows that these single logarithmic effects can be sizable but come with opposite signs with respect to the double chiral logarithms

    Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa toimeksiantajayritys KS Geoenergi Oy:n markkinointiviestinnän keinoja sekä kehittää niitä kartoituksen tuloksen perusteella. Tavoitteena oli myös selvittää jo olemassa olevia ja mahdollisesti tulevaisuudessa hyödyllisiä mainontakanavia. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus koostui markkinoinnin, markkinointiviestinnän suunnitteluprosessin sekä erityisesti markkinointiviestintään kuuluvan mainonnan teoriatiedosta. Varsinainen kartoitus tehtiin sekä kvalitatiivisena että kvantitatiivisena tutkimuksena. Käytännössä se tarkoitti vanhojen ostotilaus-ten läpikäyntiä vuosilta 2016–2018 sekä pienimuotoisen asiakaskyselyn laatimista Webropol-ohjelmalla sekä sen analysointia. Näiden tietojen pohjalta tehtiin kehittämissuunnitelmaa jatkoa varten. Työn tulosten perusteella saatiin luotua suuntaa antava markkinointiviestintästrategia yrityksen käyt-töön. Strategian käyttöönotto ja seuranta jätettiin kuitenkin yrityksen harteille. Asiakaskyselyn vastausten pohjalta saatiin selville, että ostotilauksen tehneet asiakkaat olivat usein kuulleet yrityksestä verkon hakukoneesta, keskustelufoorumeilta tai tuttavan suosituksesta. Opinnäytetyön tuloksena oli, että yrityksen kannattaisi jatkossa panostaa verkossa tapahtuvaan mainontaan.The purpose of the thesis was to map the methods of marketing communication of the client company KS Geoenergi Oy and to develop them as needed. The target was also to identify existing and profitable advertising channels. The theoretical part of the thesis consisted of marketing, marketing communicaton planning process and especially advertising marketing. The actual survey was made both as qualitative and quantitative survey. In practice, it ment going through the old purchase orders from years 2016–2018 and making a small customer survey with Webropol and analyzing it. On the basis of this information, a development plan was made for the continuation. Based on the results of the work, an orientation marketing strategy for the use of the company was created. However, the implementation and monitoring of the strategy were left to the company. Based on the customer survey responses, it was found that customers who placed a purchase order often heard about the company through the network search engine, platform or from an acquaintance. When thinking about the continuation of the business, it would be worthwhile to invest in online advertising

    Observable Structures of Small Neutral and Anionic Gold Clusters

    Since gold clusters have mostly been studied theoretically by using DFT calculations, more accurate studies are of importance. Thus, small neutral and anionic gold clusters (Aun and Aun-, n=47) were investigated by means of coupled cluster with singles, doubles, and perturbative triple excitations [CCSD(T)] calculations with large basis sets, and some differences between DFT and CCSD(T) results are discussed. Interesting isomeric structures that have dangling atoms were obtained. Structures having dangling atoms appear to be stable up to n=4 for neutral gold clusters and up to n=7 for anionic clusters. The relative stabilities and electronic properties of some isomers and major structures are discussed on the basis of the CCSD(T) calculations. This accurate structure prediction of small gold clusters corresponding to experimental photoelectron spectral peaks is valuable in the field of atom-scale materials science including nanocatalysts.X111212sciescopu

    Structures and electronic properties of small carbon nanotube tori

    Fullerenes and nanotubes are promising candidates in the development of nanodevices. Recently, a form of carbon nanotube torus structures has been observed. In this regard, we have investigated the geometries, electronic structures, and energetics of small carbon nanotube tori, using both the tight-binding and semiempirical quantum chemical approaches. It is shown that D-5d nanotube tori behave like semiconductors, while D-6h nanotube tori exhibit metal (or metal-like) characteristics similar to bent nanotubes. We show that the D-5d nanotube tori, which are as stable as the corresponding fullerenes, are energetically more favored than the corresponding nanotubes. In particular, the pentagons of the D-5d nanotube tori are less deformed than those of bent nanotubes and D-6h nanotube tori. This indicates that such small nanotube tori could be observed under optimal kinetic-driven conditions and eventually utilized as nanodevices.open1166sciescopu

    Particle collision statistics in turbulent flows with kinematic simulation

    Colliding droplets or particles in turbulent flows are important in applications ranging from rain formation in clouds to aerosol production in process engineering. To reduce the computational costs when simulating such flows, kinematic simulation (KS) is frequently applied as a cheap surrogate for direct numerical simulation (DNS) of the turbulent flow field. In this work, we provide for the first time a systematic validation of the particle collision statistics that result from KS. We show that while the particle collision frequencies for particles with different Stokes numbers are in good agreement with DNS reference data, a more detailed inspection of the flow field and particle concentration characteristics reveals significant differences between KS and DNS

    Eigen and Zundel forms of small protonated water clusters: Structures and infrared spectra

    The spectral properties of protonated water clusters, especially the difference between Eigen (H3O+) and Zundel (H5O2+) conformers and the difference between their unhydrated and dominant hydrated forms are investigated with the first principles molecular dynamics simulations as well as with the high level ab initio calculations. The vibrational modes of the excess proton in H3O+ are sensitive to the hydration, while those in H5O2+ are sensitive to the messenger atom such as Ar (which was assumed to be weakly bound to the water cluster during acquisitions of experimental spectra). The spectral feature around similar to 2700 cm(-1) (experimental value: 2665 cm(-1))for the Eigen moiety appears when H3O+ is hydrated. This feature corresponds to the hydrating water interacting with H3O+, SO it cannot appear in the Eigen core. Thus, H3O+ alone would be somewhat different from the Eigen forms in water. For the Zundel form (in particular, H5O2+), there have been some differences in spectral features among different experiments as well as between experiments and theory. When an At messenger atom is introduced at a specific temperature corresponding to the experimental condition, the calculated vibrational spectra for H5O2+center dot Ar are in good agreement with the experimental infrared spectra showing the characteristic Zundel frequency at similar to 1770 cm(-1). Thus, the effect of hydration, messenger atom Ar, and temperature are crucial to elucidating the nature of vibrational spectra of Eigen and Zundel forms and to assigning the vibrational modes of small protonated water clusters.X1110294sciescopu

The church was and is a teacher of society. The article aims to show some aspects of the Church’s responsibility in the education of the society to honesty on the example of Blessed Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz. Fr. Markiewicz knew that the witness of Christian life has enormous power and is able to rebuild whole societies. The author shows in his article that religion – according to Fr. B.     Charge transfer to solvent (CTTS) energies of small X-(H2O)(n=1-4) (X=F, Cl, Br, I) clusters: Ab initio study

    Charge transfer to solvent (CTTS) energies of small halide-water clusters, X-(H2O)(n=1-4) (X=F, Cl, Br, I) have been studied using first-order configuration interaction as well as time dependent discrete Fourier transform density functional methods. The only available experimental data are the recently reported CTTS energies for I-(H2O)(n=1-4) clusters by Johnson and co-workers [D. Serxner, C. E. H. Dessent, and M. A. Johnson, J. Chem. Phys. 105, 7231 (1996)]. These results are in good agreement with our predicted values. The calculated CTTS energies indicate that there is regularity in the change of CTTS energies with respect to the change of halide anion as well as the cluster size. Our investigations have shown that this observed trend of CTTS energies of X-(H2O)(n) clusters could be quantitatively explained by the ionization potential of the halide anions and the binding energies of the respective clusters.
