On a subspace of dual Zariski topology
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and S pee (M) (resp. Min(M)) denote the set of all second (resp minimal) submodules of a non-zero R-module M. In this paper, we investigate several properties of the subspace topology on Min(M) induced by the dual Zariski on S pee(M) and determine some cases in which Min(M) is a max-spectral space

MODULES AND THE SECOND CLASSICAL ZARISKI TOPOLOGY
Let R be an associative ring with identity and Spec(s)(M) denote the set of all second submodules of a right R-module M. In this paper, we present a number of new results for the second classical Zariski topology on Spec(s)(M) for a right R-module M. We obtain a characterization of semisimple modules by using the second spectrum of a module. We prove that if R is a ring such that every right primitive factor of R is right artinian, then every non-zero submodule of a second right R-module M is second if and only if M is a fully prime module. We give some equivalent conditions for Spec(s)(M) to be a Hausdorff space or T-i-space when the right R-module M has certain algebraic properties. We obtain characterizations of commutative Quasi-Frobenius and artinian rings by using topological properties of the second classical Zariski topology. Enthalpy-driven selective loading of CdSe0.75S0.25 nanoalloys in triblock copolymer polystyrene-b-polyisoprene-b-polystyrene
CdSe0.25S0.25 nanoalloys were blended with asymmetric triblock copolymer of polystyrene-bpolyisoprene-b-polystyrene(PS-SIS) in tetrahydrofuran. The fraction of styrene block varies from 14 to 22% with respect to isoprene by mass. The morphology of the copolymer cast film experiences a phase change from cylinder to lamella. CdSe0.25S0.25 nanoalloys were prepared by two-phase method. The surface of the nanoalloys was capped by either oleic acid (OA) or n-tri-octylphosphonic acid (TOPO) in situ. The mean diameter of the alloyed particles is around 12 nm in both systems. The chemical nature of the nanoalloy surface was found to influence the dispersion of the particles over polymer volume. The size of the nanoalloy domains in PS is 50 nm, on average, consisting of approximately 0.7 wt% nanoalloys. However, the size of the nanoalloy domains is smaller when they are loaded into PS-SIS. The structure formation is predominantly determined by enthalpic compatibilization. Atomic force microscopy results suggest that the nanoalloys capped with TOPO sequester into PS-rich domains and enlarge the domain. On the other hand, the ones capped with OA prefer to locate in polyisoprene domains. The increase of particles over 1.0 wt% distorts the lamella structure. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved

Evaluation of Blood Pressure Status and Mortality in Turkey: Findings from Chronic Diseases and Risk Factors Cohort Study
Background and objectives: An important Non-Communicable Disease risk factor, hypertension (HT), is highly prevalent and controlled HT rates are not sufficient which increases the risk of developing premature deaths. The purpose of the study is to evaluate differences in all-cause and cardiovascular-related mortality according to HT status by using national data from Chronic Diseases and Risk Factors Survey in Turkey (2011–2017). Materials and Methods: Cox regression models were used to estimate hazard ratios (HR) for predicting the all-cause and cardiovascular system-related mortalities. Median follow-up period was 6.2 years. Results: Among individuals with HT, 41.8% was untreated, 30.1% received treatment and had controlled blood pressure, and 28.1% were under treatment but had uncontrolled BP levels. The hazard for mortality among treated & uncontrolled hypertensive participants was significantly higher for all-cause (HR = 1.32, 95% CI = 1.06–1.65), cardiovascular (HR = 2.11, 95% CI = 1.46–3.06), heart disease (HR = 2.24, 95% CI = 1.46–3.43), and Coronary Heart Disease mortality (HR = 2.66, 95% CI = 1.56–4.53) compared to normotensive participants. Conclusions: Individuals with HT who were treated but do not have controlled blood pressure in Turkey had a significantly increased risk of Cardiovascular Disease and all-cause mortality. Along with studies investigating the causes of uncontrolled blood pressure despite initiation of treatment, support should be provided to patients in cases of non-adherence to antihypertensive medication or life change recommendations
Design of dimensionally stable composites using efficient global optimization method
Dimensionally stable material design is an important issue for space structures such as space laser communication systems, telescopes, and satellites. Suitably designed composite materials for this purpose can meet the functional and structural requirements. In this paper, it is aimed to design the dimensionally stable laminated composites by using efficient global optimization method. For this purpose, the composite plate optimization problems have been solved for high stiffness and low coefficients of thermal and moisture expansion. Some of the results based on efficient global optimization solution have been verified by genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, and generalized pattern search solutions from the previous studies. The proposed optimization algorithm is also validated experimentally.
