Factors affecting birth weight of newborn are examined with categorical regression. The main purpose of the model development is to examine the causal relationship between independent and dependent variables. It is believed that the prepared Categorical Regression Analysis system may be useful for physicians to make decisions about the factors affecting the birth weight of babies during pregnancies. The results show that categorical regression analysis system based on a learning method can assist in the prediction of birth weight
Some remarks on the geometry of circle maps with a break point
No full textWe study circle homeomorphisms f ∈ C 2 (S 1 {x b }) whose rotation number ρ f is irrational, with a single break point x b at which f ′ has a jump discontinuity. We prove that the behavior of the ratios of the lengths of any two adjacent intervals of the dynamical partition depends on the size of break and on the continued fraction decomposition of ρ f . We also prove a result analogous to Yoccoz’s lemma on the asymptotic behaviour of the lengths of the intervals of trajectories of the renormalization transformation R n (f)
S-iterative algorithm for solving variational inequalities

We study the convergence criteria of the mentioned algorithm under some mild conditions. As an application, a modified algorithm is suggested to solve convex minimization problems. Numerical examples are given to validate the theoretical findings obtained herein. Our results may be considered as an improvement, refinement and complement of the previously known results

No full textDoktora TeziNecip Fazıl, çeşitli dergi ve gazetelerde çok yönlü yazılar kaleme almıştır. Öyle ki daha bugüne kadar onun yazılarının tamamının bibliyografyası çıkarılabilmiş değildir. Bunda Necip Fazıl'ın çok velûd bir yazar olmasının yanı sıra birçok yerde yazmasının da etkisi vardır. Biz bu çalışmamızda Necip Fazıl'ın hem yazmış, hem de çıkarmış olduğu dergilerdeki nesir yazılarını merkeze aldık. Bunun yanında tamam-layıcı olması açısından kitaplarını da inceledik. Onun, edebî eserleriyle (şiir, tiyatro vs.) alakalı çeşitli çalışmalar yapıldığı için biz, göz ardı edilen düzyazılarını ve ma-kalelerini ele aldık. İlk önce Necip Fazıl'ın yazmış olduğu dergileri belirleyip, bu dergileri etraflı bir şekilde tarayarak, bu taramalar sonrasında topladığımız nesir yazılarını bir araya getirdik. Bir araya getirdiğimiz bu verileri, belli bir değerlendirmeye tâbî tuttuktan sonra tasnif, edip çeşitli başlıklara ayırdık. Daha sonra bu yazıları tahlil ettik. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde genel olarak Necip Fazıl'ın hayatı üzerinde durduk. Onun, çocukluğu, öğrenim, çalışma, siyaset ve yayın hayatını anlattık. İkinci bölümde Necip Fazıl'ın yazılarının yayınlandığı ve kendisinin çıkarmış olduğu dergi-leri ele aldık. Üçüncü bölüm ise, onun nesir yazılarını merkeze alarak düşünce dün-yasını, ideolojisini, hayata bakışını ayrıntılı bir şekilde ortaya koymaya çalıştık.AbstractThe focus of this research is proses of Necip Fazıl Kısakurek, who is a well-known poet and influential intellectual figure during the 40 years following the year of 1940. In contrary to hundreds of published articles in several topics, there is not a complete bibliography out-there yet. This is mostly originated from productive creativity of the author and variety of publications. In this thesis, the core component is articles those published on his periodical journals. Besides, his books are considered as a complimentary source. Since poems and plays of the author studied excessively, we have focused on prose texts. Initially, those periodic journals containing his articles were identified and scanned attentively. Then, Published articles are collected, classified and analyzed. In the first part of this research, mostly life events of the author examined. His childhood, education, work, politic and publishing life taken into account. Secondly, periodicals containing author's articles and periodicals published by himself discussed. Lastly, taken the proses of author as center of the subject, his intellectual world, ideology and view of life evaluated in detail

No full textDilin en üst perdesi olarak kabul edilen edebî eserlerin daha iyi anlaşılması ve değerlendirilmesi, onlar üzerinde yapılan bilimsel çalışmalara bağlıdır. Bir edebî eser pek çok açıdan değerlendirilebilir. Türk edebiyatında "Kaldırımlar" şairi olarak ünlenen Necip Fazıl Kısakürek'in mensur eserleri de vardır. Şiirleri üzerine oldukça fazla çalışma yapılmıştır; ancak mensur eserleri üzerinde bilhassa yazarın dili üzerinde ayrıntılı çalışmalar yapılmamıştır. Biz bu çalışmada, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek'in "Hikâyelerim" isimli eserinin kelime gruplarını inceledik. Bunun temel nedeni, bütün söz varlığını incelemenin yüksek lisans seviyesinin üstünde bir çalışma gerektirmesidir. Bu yüzden çalışmamızda bu şekilde bir kısıt belirledik. Çalışmamızın temel hedefi Necip Fazıl'ın mensur eserlerinin ve yaşadığı dönemin söz varlığı hakkında bilgiler elde etmektir. Çalışmamızın birinci bölümünde, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek'in hayatı, edebî kişiliği ve eserlerine değinilmiş, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek'in "Hikâyelerim" adlı eseri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Tezin ikinci bölümünde, ele alınacak olan kelime grupları incelenmiş, dilbilim araştırmacılarının kelime gruplarıyla ilgili yapmış oldukları tanımlara ve görüşlere yer verilmiş ve söz konusu olan eser baştan sona analiz edilerek kullanılan kelime grupları tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmaya esas olan kelime grupları tablolar hâlinde gösterilmiştir. Tezin üçüncü bölümünde eserde geçen batı kökenli kelimeler tespit edilmiş, anlamlarıyla birlikte yazılmıştır. "Hikâyelerim" adlı eserde beklediğimizden daha fazla batı kökenli kelime ile karşılaştığımız söylenebilir. Bu kelimeler içerisinde en fazla Fransızca asıllı kelimeler yer almaktadır. "Hikâyelerim" isimli eserin, kelime grupları açısından incelenmesi, Türkçenin kullanımını ve var olan zenginliğini göstermek adına önem teşkil etmektedir. Necip Fazıl'ın eserlerinde zengin bir biçimde kullanılan kelime grupları, onun dili kullanmadaki başarısını ve anlatım tekniklerini birleştirerek okurlarıyla buluşturmaktadır.The better understanding and evaluation of literary works, which are accepted as the highest curtain of language, depends on scientific studies on them. A literary work can be evaluated in many ways. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, who is famous as the poet of "Kaldırımlar" in Turkish literature, also has prose works. There have been many studies on his poems; however, there have not been detailed studies on his prose works, especially on the language of the author. In this study, we have analyzed the word groups of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's "Hikâyelerim". The main reason for this is that analyzing the entire vocabulary requires a study above the master's level. The main goal of our study is to obtain information about the vocabulary of Necip Fazıl's prose works and the period in which he lived. In the first part of our study, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's life, literary personality and works are mentioned, and information about Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's work "Hikâyelerim" is given. In the second part of the thesis, the word groups to be discussed were examined, the definitions and opinions of linguistics researchers about word groups were given and the word groups used were determined by analyzing the work in question from beginning to end. The word groups that are the basis of the study are shown in tables. In the third part of the thesis, the words of western origin in the work are identified and written with their meanings. It can be said that we encountered more words of western origin in "Hikâyelerim" than we expected. Among these words, words of French origin are the most common. Analyzing the work titled "Hikâyelerim" in terms of word groups is important in order to show the use of Turkish and its existing richness. The word groups used richly in Necip Fazıl's works combine his success in using the language and narrative techniques and bring them together with his readers

No full text06.03.2018 tarih ve 30352 sayılı Resmi gazetede yayımlanan “Yükseköğretim Kanunu İle Bazı Kanun Ve Kanun Hükmünde Kararnamelerde Değişiklik Yapılması Hakkında Kanun” ile 18.06.2018 tarihli “Lisansüstü Tezlerin Elektronik Ortamda Toplanması, Düzenlenmesi ve Erişime Açılmasına İlişkin Yönerge” gereğince tam metin erişime açılmıştır.Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı alanında hazırlanan tezlerin büyük çoğunluğu roman ve şiir üzerinedir. Yedinci sanat olarak adlandırılan sinemanın edebiyatla ilişkisi üzerine yapılan çalışmalar oldukça azdır. Bununla birlikte sinemanın, yazılı boyutu olan senaryoların diyalog, tasvir, dili kullanabilme özellikleri yönüyle edebiyat sanatıyla arasında çok güçlü bir etkileşim vardır. Bu yönüyle hem film senaryosu olarak yazılan hem de hikâye ve romanlardan yapılan uyarlamalar edebî bir metin değeri taşır. Necip Fazıl düşünce eserlerinin yanında tiyatro, şiir, hikâye, senaryo türlerindeki eserleriyle fikirlerini halka ulaştırmaya çalışan çok yönlü bir şahsiyettir. Necip Fazıl’ın şiirleri, tiyatroları, hikâyeleri hakkında pek çok akademik çalışma yapılmıştır. Ama “Senaryo Romanlarım” dediği senaryo çalışmaları gölgede kalmıştır. Yazar sinema için yazdığı senaryolara daha sonra “senaryo roman” adını veren bu eserlerinin roman gibi okunabileceğini ifade etmiş ve aynı zamanda bu eserlerin edebî boyutunu da ön plana çıkarmaya çalışmıştır. Tezimizde Necip Fazıl’ın sinema hakkındaki düşünceleri ortaya konulmuş, senaryo romanlarının kaynakları araştırılmış ve birisi yarım kalmış on senaryo romanı içerik ve yapı yönüyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmamız ile Necip Fazıl’ın senaryo romanlarının kendine özgü nitelikleri tespit edilmiştir.The majority of theses in the field of Turkish Language and Literature are about novel and poetry.The studies about the relationship between cinema which is called seventh art and literature are quite few. However, there is a very strong interaction between the literary art and scenarios which are written dimensions of cinema from the aspect of dialogue,description and the features of using language.In this respect,adaptations made both in film script and in stories and novels carry a literary text value.The literary study of studies on the scenarios will also provide a contribution to the development of the cinema. In the history of Turkish Literature, it is seen that some writers and poets direct the society with their ideas as well as their literary production. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is one of these writers,too. In the Republican era,along with his literary works,he appears as a thinker who drags the masses behind him with his intellectual struggle.In addition to his works of thoughts,Necip Fazıl is a versatile personality who tries to convey his ideas to the public with his works in the genres of theatre, poetry,story and script.Many academic studies have been done about Necip Fazıl’s poems,theatres,stories.But the scenario studies that he called “My Scenario Novels” were in the shade.
