The health trend has hit Denmark over the last ten years and has resulted in an increased focus on health, the body and its aesthetics. Meanwhile, social medias have become increasingly visualizing, and in extension hereof become a tool for portraying the healthy body, and so the use of healthies has become a rising trend on social medias. Healthies are pictures posted on social medias, showing food or individuals in a fitness setting. This project seeks to explore why some individuals choose to use healthies on social medias to portray themselves, and to uncover whether the use of healthies has an impact on these individuals’ understanding of health. In order to do so, we have conducted a focus group interview so as to survey a number of topics, after which the interviewees’ perceptions of health are analyzed and discussed with base in this interview. The ideas of the three theorists Nikolas Rose, Lars Geer Hammershøj and Erving Goffman are used to analyze these topics. Hereafter we discussed how it might influence the interviewees to be expected to live up to an unattainable health ideal, what their motives for posting healthies are, and how healthies might be influencing the mentality of the interviewees. Lastly we have discussed what kind of impact socializing and staging might have on the interviewees’ understanding of health in general. In the end we have concluded that healthies are capable of having both a positive as well as a negative influence on the interviewees’ perception of health. The health trend has hit Denmark over the last ten years and has resulted in an increased focus on health, the body and its aesthetics. We will in this project examine the impact that the voluntary network ‘Ledige med drive’ has for the individuals well-being in a period of unemployment. We work with the preunderstanding, that ‘Ledige med drive’ increases the individuals well-being, which we do with the critical hermeneutic approach. Well-being will therefore pose the understanding of health, that the project is based on. We use Jürgen Habermas’ theory system and lifeworld, to answer our first question regarding the opportunities of the unemployed to control their own lifesituation. Furthermore we use Aaron Antonovskys theory Sense of Coherence to answer the second question regarding how the individuals sense of coherence is being affected by the network. To answer the third and last question, we use the conclusions of our first and second questions and furthermore we use the concept of empowerment, to answer how the approach to working with the unemployed should be in the future. We have chosen to use the qualitative method, which will be formed by the three primary, semistructured interviews we have prepared, with respectively two participants of ‘Ledige med drive’ and the project manager. To support our primary data, we have taken advantage of secondary data. Finally, we conclude that the network ‘Ledige med drive’ has a great impact on the well-being of the unemployed. The network provides the framework for the lifeworld and increases the individuals sense of coherence. We will in this project examine the impact that the voluntary network ‘Ledige med drive’ has for the individuals well-being in a period of unemployment. The purpose of this project is to examine the motivation for running a marathon by six marathon runners, and also to find out what kind of health-profits, they achieve after running a marathon. The project is a qualitative research where the empirical data is based on an interview as a focus group with six marathon runners. This interview was done to highlight their perspective on marathon and health. This project is done with a hermeneutically point of view in interpreting the expressions of the participants. We use Kristian Larsen’s interpretation of Pierre Bourdieu’s concepts about “habitus”, “capital”, and “fields”, because Larsen operates with the concepts from a “healthy” point of view. Besides working with Larsen, we have been using Klaus Eskelund’s book, ‘Midt i en surfertid’ [In a surfertime] to understand how running has evolved. The results from the analysis show, that the participants have achieved physical, psychological and social benefits e.g. confidence, energy, and they have become better at coping with stressful situations. Therefore, this project concludes that the health-benefits the participants achieve are useful, and gives them an advantage at work or at their education. The purpose of this project is to examine the motivation for running a marathon by six marathon runners, and also to find out what kind of health-profits, they achieve after running a marathon. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
