    Plesiolebias Costa Plesiolebias Costa, 1989 b: 193 (type species: Cynolebias xavantei Costa, Lacerda & Tanizaki, by original designation). Diagnosis. Distinguished from all other genera of Plesiolebiasini by the following unique features: posterior process of quadrate and sympletic long (vs. short) (Costa, 1998 a), interarcual cartilage absent (vs. present) (Costa, 1998 a), rays of anterior portion of anal fin longer than posterior rays (vs. longer) (Costa, 1995 a), and frontal squamation G-patterned (vs. F or D patterned) (Costa, 1998 a). Distribution. Southeastern Amazonian basin, including Xingu, Araguaia, and Tocantins river drainages, Brazil; and rio Paraguay basin, in northern Brazilian Pantanal (Fig. 13). Remarks. The systematic accounts below should be viewed as a complement to the recent taxonomic revision of Plesiolebias (Costa, 1998 c), where redescriptions of P. xavantei, P. l a c e rd a i, P. aruana, and P. glaucopterus are included.Published as part of Costa, Wilson J.     [[Moema Costa]] Moema comprises ten nominal species, of which M. heterostigma Costa is endemic to the Brazilian Pantanal, Rio Paraguay basin (Costa, 2003d), and nine species are known from the Amazon: M. piriana Costa, the type species of the genus, from the coastal plains adjacent to Rio Amazonas estuary, Brazil, M. staecki (Seegers) from the central Amazon, Brazil, M. portugali Costa and M. nudifrontata from the Rio Branco basin, northern Amazon, Brazil, M. hellneri Costa from the Rio Napo basin, western Amazon, Peru, and M. pepotei Costa, M. ortegai Costa, and M. quiii Huber, from the Madre de Dios-Beni-Mamore-Madeira river system in Peru, Brazil and Bolivia, southern Amazon (Costa, 1989, 1992, 2003a,b; Huber, 2003). Moema ortegai and M. quiii were described from the same locality (Tambopata, Río Madre de Dios drainage, Peru) and are morphologically identical, therefore considered synonyms. The name Moema ortegai, published in 24 November 2003 (Costa, 2003b), has priority over the name Moema quiii, published in December 2003 (Huber, 2003).Published as part of Wilson J. E. M.     In this paper three new species of Elaphoglossum Schott ex J. Sm., are described and illustrated, located on the pacific slope of Cordillera de Talamanca and Cerro Caraigres (Cerro Dragón), Costa Rica. The new species are: E.dragonense A. Rojas, E. flavosquamum A. Rojas and E. pacificum A. Rojas, all belong to the section Elaphoglossum subsection Pachyglossa Christ. The first species resembles E. gloeorrhizum Mickel but is separated by showing a scaly rhizome, phyllopodia with two sections, the basal one resinous as the rhizome and the second non-resinous, bigger stipe scales, and the abaxial blade is scaly. The second entity resembles E. delgadilloanum A. Rojas, but differs by having blonde to orange-yellowish rhizome scales with long lateral processes and the blade scales are mainly smaller, less dense and bicolorous with black central body and brown rays. The latter species is similar to E. cismense Rosenst., but is identified by its more slender rhizome, fronds at less distance between them, shorter phyllopodia, narrowly elliptic blade, bigger abaxial blade scales and a linear-elliptical and narrower fertile blade.Tres especies nuevas de Elaphoglossum Schott ex J. Rojas y E.pacificumA. Rojas, todas de la sección Elaphoglossum subsección Pachyglossa Christ. La primera especie se parece a E. gloeorrhizum Mickel, pero se separa por mostrar escamas en el rizoma, filopodio con dos secciones, la basal resinosa como el rizoma y la segunda no resinosa, escamas del estípite más grandes y el envés de la lámina con escamas estrelladas. La segunda entidad se asemeja a E. delgadilloanum A. Rojas, pero difiere por presentar escamas del rizoma rubias a anaranjado-amarillentas y con largos procesos laterales y escamas de la lámina la mayoría más pequeñas, menos densas y bicoloras con el centro negro y los rayos pardos. Distinguished from all other plesiolebiasine genera by the following unique features of males: dorsal and anal fins long, tips beyond posterior margin of caudal fin (vs. short, tips reaching between caudal peduncle and caudal-fin base); caudal fin lanceolate, tip with two or three filamentous rays (vs. caudal fin rounded and without filaments); opercular membranes with blue iridescence, long, extending on anterior portion of pectoral fins (vs. opercular membrane short and hyaline); and flanks metallic blue, with orangish golden spots (vs. never a similar color pattern). Smde la sección UndulataChrist es descrita aquí: Elaphoglossum pallidosquamum A. Rojas & P. Muñoz. La nueva especie es similar a E. herpestes por su rizoma largo ascendente, pero difiere por escamas del rizoma no cordadas basalmente (vs. cordadas) y más pálidas pardo-amarillentas con margen blanquecino o completamente blanquecinas (vs. castañas), escamas del estípite adpresas (vs. adpresas a moderadamente patentes) y más densas, lámina más angosta 2.5-4 cm de ancho (vs. 5-6.5 cm) con base anchamente cuneada a obtusa (vs. redonda), lámina con diferentes tipos de escamas las costales imbricadas (vs. distantes entre sí), escamas adaxiales densas (vs. dispersas), escamas abaxiales enrrolladas y moderadamente densas (vs. escamas abaxiales planas y dispersas) y, escamas marginales muy densas (vs. moderadamente densas a dispersas) y estas más pálidas blanquecinas a amarillo pálido (vs. pardas).A new species of ElaphoglossumSchott ex J.
