Produk ini dikembangan karena materi yang selama ini dipakai di kelas kurang menarik minat dari mahasiswa dan memerlukan banyak variasi materi. Peneliti memilih media komik dikarenakan komik meiliki banyak kelebihan yang cocok diaplikasikan kepada mahasiswa dari fakultas ilmu keolahragaan. Salah satu kelebihan komik adalah komik mempunyai gambar untuk memproyeksikan materi bidang olahraga terutama mengenai peraturan , bentuk tubuh, dan formasiDalam penelitian ini prosedur yang digunakan mengadaptasi prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan oleh Hyland (2003). Proses penelitian ini dimulai dengan (1) menganalisa kebutuhan. (2) pengembangan produk (3) validasi ahli, (4) perbaikan pertama, (5) uji coba produk, (6) perbaikan kedua dan (7) produk akhir. Setelah semua tahap pengembangan selesai dilaksanakan, produk telah siap untuk dipublikasikan kepada mahasiswa fakultas ilmu keolahragaan.Produk akhir dalam penelitian yaknimateri bacaan tambahan yang dikemas dalam bentuk komik.Komik ini berukuran 21x15 cm. Komikini terdiri dari duatopik utama yakni sepakbola dantennis. Tiap topik terdiri dari 3 bagian. Bagian pertama adalah pengenalan awal terhadap bidang olahraga tersebut. Bagian selanjutnya adalah isi komik dan bagian yang terakhir adalah kuis atau pertanyaan. Selain itu,terdapat juga perkenalan karakter dan penjelasan tentang komik di awal untuk mempermudah mahasiswa membaca komik ini.Komik yang dibuat merupakan hasil akhir dari proses validasi oleh para ahli dan uji coba kepada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, komik yang dikembangkan baik dalam hal isi maupun desain sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Hasil dari proses validasi ahli dan juga pengguna menunjukkan bahwa produk ini tepat bagi pengguna. Peneliti merekomendasikan komik in untuk digunakan di dalam kelas sebagai buku bacaan dalam berlatih kemampuan membaca bacaan berbahasa inggris. Namun, komik inijuga bisa digunakan di luar kelas tanpa terbatas ruang dan waktu. Komik ini dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam berbagai macam materi yang berhubungan dengan bahasa inggri

    Shear and punching capacity predictions for slabs under concentrated loads aided by lefea

    One-way slabs under concentrated loads may fail by one-way shear, punching, flexure or a mixed-mode between them. This study examines the benefits of using Linear Elastic Finite Element Analyses (LEFEA) combined with analytical expressions to predict the shear and punching capacities of such slabs. Besides, the determination of the most critical shear failure mechanism is also addressed. A simplified approach is proposed to predict the shear and punching capacity without numerical models. Forty-eight tests of simply supported slabs under concentrated loads were evaluated. The LEFEA was conducted with ABAQUS. The analytical expressions are based on the Critical Shear Crack Theory (CSCT). The coupling of the CSCT-expressions with the LEFEA accurately predicts the governing shear failure mechanism and the shear capacity of most test results. In this study, it was also found that the punching capacity predictions may be improved by considering the influence of the slab width and load size on the governing failure mechanism. A similar level of precision was achieved using only analytical expressions when properly calibrated.     Evaluating feed-in tariff policies on enhancing geothermal development in Indonesia

    Geothermal is vital for sustainably meeting Indonesia's energy demand, given its estimated massive reserves potential equivalent to 24 GW of electricity. The Indonesian government has set geothermal contributions to the national energy mix at 7,241.5 MW by 2025 and 17,546 MW by 2050, despite harnessing such vast potential needing significant investment. To that goal, the government established a feed-in tariff (FIT) mechanism to encourage private sector investment in geothermal development. However, FIT has undergone significant alterations in a short period. Moreover, various complicating factors—bureaucracy, social, and technical—exist alongside FIT implementation. Therefore, the extent that FIT can effectively enhance geothermal development in Indonesia should be challenged with further investigation. This study explores the efficacy of FIT policies for geothermal electricity by comparing the performance of several FIT schemes in terms of their impact on the government's target achievement. This study combines the policy analysis framework with system dynamics modeling to understand the dynamic interaction of FIT policy and other important components in geothermal development. The findings show that modest bureaucracy and public support are required.     When and why does transition fail? A model-based identification of adoption barriers and policy vulnerabilities for transition to natural gas vehicles

    Natural gas vehicles (NGV) face significant adoption barriers in Jakarta. Therefore, a successful transition requires measures from the government. Owing to the high cost of transition policies, the efficacy of these policies must be analyzed to identify the most effective policy. The implementation of transition policies, however, could dynamically influence people's perception and behavior, which then changes the landscape of adoption barriers. Furthermore, even a seemingly successful policy may fail when a certain pathway of uncertainties emerges in the future. To address these concerns, we integrated agent-based modeling, exploratory modeling, and diffusion of innovation theory into the exploratory model-based diffusion analysis approach. This approach evaluates the policy's performance, explores changes in the relative importance of different adoption barriers, and identifies policy vulnerabilities, i.e., scenarios leading to policy failures. We tested this approach on four NGV transition policies targeting three adoption barriers. We found that the importance of adoption barriers and the critical uncertainties upon the implemented policies. The social–behavioral barrier predominates under current conditions, whereas the economic factor becomes more relevant when all policies are executed. Understanding the changes in adoption barriers and policy vulnerabilities will help decision-makers to prepare additional measures that ensure a successful transition.Policy Analysi

Frontiers in Marine Science, 6, (2019):257, doi:10.3389/fmars.2019.00257.The Indonesian seas play a fundamental role in the coupled ocean and climate system with the Indonesian Throughflow (ITF) providing the only tropical pathway connecting the global oceans. Pacific warm pool waters passing through the Indonesian seas are cooled and freshened by strong air-sea fluxes and mixing from internal tides to form a unique water mass that can be tracked across the Indian Ocean basin and beyond. The Indonesian seas lie at the climatological center of the atmospheric deep convection associated with the ascending branch of the Walker Circulation. Regional SST variations cause changes in the surface winds that can shift the center of atmospheric deep convection, subsequently altering the precipitation and ocean circulation patterns within the entire Indo-Pacific region. Recent multi-decadal changes in the wind and buoyancy forcing over the tropical Indo-Pacific have directly affected the vertical profile, strength, and the heat and freshwater transports of the ITF. These changes influence the large-scale sea level, SST, precipitation and wind patterns. Observing long-term changes in mass, heat and freshwater within the Indonesian seas is central to understanding the variability and predictability of the global coupled climate system. Although substantial progress has been made over the past decade in measuring and modeling the physical and biogeochemical variability within the Indonesian seas, large uncertainties remain. A comprehensive strategy is needed for measuring the temporal and spatial scales of variability that govern the various water mass transport streams of the ITF, its connection with the circulation and heat and freshwater inventories and associated air-sea fluxes of the regional and global oceans. This white paper puts forward the design of an observational array using multi-platforms combined with high-resolution models aimed at increasing our quantitative understanding of water mass transformation rates and advection within the Indonesian seas and their impacts on the air-sea climate system.
