Sul progetto di un'ontologia dell'essere sociale
No full textIl contributo si propone di indagare il rapporto tra Hegel e Lukács riguardo la delineazione di una
ontologia capace di concatenare le categorie logiche con quelle sociali. In particolare si partirà dalla critica di Lukács alla dialettica hegeliana esposta nel primo volume dell’Ontologia dell’essere
sociale. Tale critica mira al contempo a recuperare l’attualità del discorso hegeliano sull’ontologia e
sulla sua categoria principale: l’essere. Lungi dall’essere una categoria astratta contenente la
massima e indefinita determinabilità esso si configura come totalità relazionale, “complesso di
complessi” strutturantesi nel processo storico. Il contributo si conclude con alcune considerazioni a
partire della Scienza della logica per mostrare, da un lato, le convergenze con il progetto di
un’ontologia dell’essere sociale e, dall’altro, l’inadeguatezza della rigida dicotomia lukácsiana tra
falsa e vera ontologia di Hegel
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textA retrospective comparative study was conducted in Italy to determine whether the risk of accidental falls is the same in acute care hospitals as in nursing homes. Accidental falls were significantly related to women older than 80 years and to a hospital stay 10 days or longer, with an increased risk related to stroke, arterial hypertension, and a Norton Scale score greater than 15. Prevention strategies need to be based on the context and specific intrinsic and extrinsic factors influencing the risk of falls in elderly patients
