Sistem Informasi Geografis Daerah Penangkapan Ikan di Perairan Natuna-Laut Cina Selatan Berbasis Data Satelit NOAA/AVHRR dan SEAWIFS
Satellite remote sensing can be used to detect oceanographic phenomenon such assea-surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll concentration, and sea current. UsingNOAA/AVHRR and SeaWiFS satellites, the parameters to estimate potential fishing zone(PFZ) such sea-surface temperature and chlorophyll concentration can be derived from thedata of them. This research had been taken place in Natuna Sea-South China Sea. Both sea-surfacetemperature and chlorophyll concentration parameters are used to develop potential fishingzone. Having information of coordinate, the fish catch data are used to determine the optimalfishing zone by using the spatial analysis. At that time, historical fish catch data is use toanalyze potential fishing by seasons.A geographic information system (GIS) model has been developed to achieve the goal.By this approach, the processing of satellite data, fish catch data, and other statistic is easierto manage. GIS modelling provides a powerful tool for fish forecasting and sustainablemanagement of living marine resources. With this tool and its provided-coordinate, catchingfish process will be efficient and effective.Preliminary results of the research show that most potential season for fishing isduring Transition Period I (March – June). While based on monthly approach, the mostpotential months for fishing are during April, May, and August. Keywords: remote sensing, sea surface temperature, chlorophyll, potential fishing zone, and spatial analysis
User Satisfaction Assessment of Final Project Supervisor Monitoring Information System Using User Experience Design Method
Completing the final project takes a guiding process n the final project where the concept of final project guidance itself is an effort to help students to provide direction, assistance, suggestions, and criticisms that arise from the preparation of the final project by the supervisor. However, sometimes the guidance process is not optimal. Lecturers or students themselves can cause this. The difficulty for lecturers to help students during tutoring is the limited communication time that is too narrow on campus and the difference in busy schedules between students and supervisors. Managing the time for the final independent project is also an obstacle that causes the completion of the final project to be delayed. Some students tend to be less active in carrying out guidance if the supervisor does not provide a fixed guidance schedule or does not provide a target time for students to complete the revision of the final project from the supervisor. So, it is necessary to build an information system for monitoring the final project supervisor to monitor the existence of supervisor. This study uses the User Experience Design Process to increase user satisfaction in interacting with the product. And at the final stage, a Usability Testing evaluation is carried out to test the product's usefulness. The results of this study are in the form of an assessment of how satisfied and comfortable a user is with a product, system, and service using an interfac
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Aplikasi Crowdfunding Bantuan Penelitian Skripsi/Tugas Akhir Mahasiswa Menggunakan Validasi Data Berbasis API Web Service
Infaq Tube Pick Up Scheduling Application in Pontianak City Based on Android (Case Study of West Kalimantan Lazismu)
The Amil Zakat Infaq Shadaqah Muhammadiyah Kalbar Institute (LAZISMU Kalbar) is a national-level zakat institution that is solemn in empowering the community through productive utilization of zakat funds, infaq, waqf and other philanthropic funds from individuals, institutions, companies and other agencies. Lazismu Kalbar has several programs, one of which is the infaq tube, which is a charity box program as a means to make it easier for donors to donate and give charity in their respective homes. The collection of infaq funds by West Kalimantan LAZISMU officers is carried out once or twice a month according to the time agreement between the donor and the West Kalimantan LAZISMU. Considering that the number of donors continues to grow, it is difficult for officers to arrange the pick-up times for the charity boxes, besides that the officer's journey becomes inefficient because the charity boxes that should be taken at once in one trip are forced to take two trips to places that are actually close to each other. A system and application is needed that is able to support the charity box pick-up process with a scheduling mechanism. This research has developed an Android mobile application that makes it easier for LAZISMU officers to schedule pick-up for the infaq tube, which is very important, in order to minimize the possibility of clashing pick-up schedules. Making the application using IDEA Android studio with web service as its database technology, which utilizes google calendar technology as a scheduling medium and utilizes notifications from google calendar as notification of infaq tube pick-up notifications. Based on the test results, in compatibility testing, the application is installed and runs well on android devices starting from the Jelly Bean operating system version (4.2.2) to Pie (9.0)
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
