Robust S-scheme ZnO-TiO2-Ag with efficient charge separations for highly active hydrogen evolution performance and photocatalytic mechanism insight
No full textThe design and fabrication of photocatalysts for robust H2 evolution from photocatalytic water splitting has emerged as a hotspot in the domain of photocatalysis. Therefore, we have designed an S-scheme ZnO-TiO2-Ag (Zn-Ti-Ag) catalyst through the hydrothermal process to investigate photocatalytic H2 production under simulated sunlight exposure. The H2 production efficiency of Zn-Ti-Ag catalyst from water/formic acid solution is 60.4 mmolh−1g−1, which is exceptionally greater than that of pure ZnO (0.39 mmolh−1g−1) under identical experimental conditions. After five successive cycles, no obvious decline of photocatalytic activity over Zn-Ti-Ag verifies its outstanding stability for large-scale application. The exceptionally enhanced photocatalytic performance of Zn-Ti-Ag heterojunction can be attributed to efficient photocarriers separation and transport efficiency, improved light absorption resulting from the LSPR effect of Ag, and powerful redox potentials due to the construction of S-scheme. This research provides an efficient orientation to understand and design LSPR phenomenon-assisted oxides-based S-scheme heterojunctions for diverse photocatalytic applications
Evaluating the perceived affective qualities of urban soundscapes through audiovisual experiments
Full text linkThe study of the perceived affective qualities (PAQs) in soundscape assessments have increased in recent years, with methods varying from in-situ to laboratory. Through technological advances, virtual reality (VR) has facilitated evaluations of multiple locations in the same experiment. In this paper, VR reproductions of different urban sites were presented in an online and laboratory environment testing three locations in Greater Manchester (‘Park’, ‘Plaza’, and pedestrian ‘Street’) in two population densities (empty and busy) using ISO/TS 12913–2 (2018) soundscape PAQs. The studied areas had audio and video recordings prepared for 360 video and binaural audio VR reproductions. The aims were to observe population density effects within locations (Wilcoxon test) and variations between locations (Mann-Whitney U test) within methods. Population density and comparisons among locations demonstrated a significant effect on most PAQs. Results also suggested that big cities can present homogenous sounds, composing a ‘blended’ urban soundscape, independently of functionality. These findings can support urban design in a low-cost approach, where urban planners can test different scenarios and interventions

The reason the author chose this title is because this research has never been done at the Islamic University of Riau and the object being carried out has also never been studied by students of the Islamic University of Riau. And Ustadz Khalid Basalamah was able to attract the attention of listeners, so the writer wanted to know the stages used by Ustadz Khalid Basalamah. This research is included in qualitative research using descriptive method. The data collection technique of this research is through documentation. This study uses the theory proposed by Rakhmat (2014), Abidin (2013), Keraf (2015), Morrisan (2014). The results of research on the stages of rhetoric in Ustaz Khalid Basalamah's lecture on Youtube found 40 data. (1) In the invention stage, there are 7 data including 5 evidence indicators and 2 statement indicators. (2) The disposition stage contains 15 data, including 7 preliminary data, 4 content data, and 4 closing data. (3) The Elocutio stage contains 7 data, including 3 asindenton data, 1 paradox data, and 3 hyperbole data. (4) The memory stage contains 6 data, including 3 information storage data and 3 experience data. (5) The Pronontitio stage contains 5 data, the data is included in the rhythm. It can be concluded that Ustaz Khalid Basalamah in the invention stage is more dominant in using evidence. In the disposition stage, the prelude is more dominant using greetings, content is more dominant using arguments, and closing is more dominant using expectations. In the elocutio stage, it is more dominant to use asidentone and hyperbole. In the memory stage, it is more dominant to use the storage of information and experiences. In the pronontitio stage, it is more dominant to use rhythm. Thus, Ustaz Khalid Basalamah has used the five stages of rhetoric

Financial Development, Economic Growth, and Poverty Reduction
Full text linkThe frequent failure of financial liberalisation efforts in developing countries, and the serious damage which recent financial crises have imposed on these economies, have led to renewed attempts to understand the relationships between financial sector development, economic growth and poverty reduction, and to provide a more robust intellectual foundation on which to design efficient and pro-poor financial sector policies for developing countries. The paper examines the contribution that financial sector development can make to poverty reduction in developing countries. The linkages between financial and economic growth, and between economic growth and poverty reduction, are considered, and some preliminary empirical evidence is presented on these linkages. The paper goes on to argue that financial market imperfections are a key constraint on pro-poor growth, and that public policy directed at the correction of these financial market failures is needed to ensure that financial development contributes effectively to growth and poverty reduction. The final part of the paper examines in some detail the role of financial regulation and supervision policy as a key area for public intervention directed at enhancing the financial sector’s contribution to poverty reduction.
