No full textI am delighted to see this inexpensive set of pop-up books. The pop-up constellations are complex, especially for the limited size of the book (4.75" x 6"). This telling of GA has the grasshopper simply shut out at the story's end. There are five pop-up pages among the seven pages of the book. The best of them for me has the ants answering the grasshopper's knock at their door in winter. The effect of HPV analysis on the ASC/SIL ratio which is one of the quality control criteria for PAP smears
No full textObjective: The high number of smear tests has a workload on pathologists/cytopathologists, which raises the concern for the quality of diagnoses. The application of high-risk human papillonfavirus (hr-HPV) analyses with the PAP smear has begun to contribute to the clinical practice. In this study, we aimed to show the effect of hr-HPV analysis on the results of PAP smear via atypical squamous cell/squamous intraepithelial lesion (ASC/SIL) ratio on the quality standards. Materials and Methods: A total of 12799 cervical cytology reports, between 2014-2016, from the Pathology Department of Marmara University Hospital, were included. Between November 2014 and May 2016, hr-HPV analysis was performed on a total of 4307 cases with Hologic Aptima HPV (TM), USA. Smear diagnoses before and after the start of the HPV test application were recorded. Results: The cytology diagnoses, during when hr-HPV screening was not performed, were negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy (NILM) 99.4%, atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS) 0.6%, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL) 0.2%, ASC-H 0.04%, and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) 0.13%. The cytology diagnoses that were evaluated with HPV test were as follows: NILM 93.67%, ASCUS 2.31%, LSIL 2.82%, ASC-H 0.3%, and HSIL 0.91%. ASC/SIL ratio has been dropped from 1.9 to 0.7 after the initiation of hr-HPV use. Conclusion: During the period without hr-HPV analysis, the ASC/SIL ratio was 1.9. Later with the initiation of hr-HPV screening this ratio decreased to 0.7. This shows that knowing HPV test results affects and improves the quality of the laboratory diagnoses

Its best effects include an underwater view of the birds' congregation on 2; the crow's mirror amid his confused mess of feathers on 4; the wild flutter of all sorts of birds when Zeus approaches the jackdaw with the crown on 6; and the attack-in-progress by the other birds on 7. This version starts with Zeus and ends with the jackdaw walking away in despair. No full textThis little (4.75" x 6") book of eight pages is particularly well done. The "naughty" shepherd is introduced as loving to tease others. The first illustration has him donning a mask to frighten both people and animals. After each of two shouts that a wolf is coming – "Come and save me!" – the pop-ups show the townsfolk arriving and getting increasingly angry. The arrival of the wolf is particularly well done: the pop-up gets the boy running, his cap flying off, and the wolf getting hold of a sheep. The last two pages have no pop-ups but express, first, life going on normally as no one responds to the boy and, then, the boy crying among dead sheep as the wolf runs away. No full textThe very first page in this little (4.75" x 6") book of eight pages is captivating: the lion opens his eyes to catch the mouse scampering over his paw. On 2, the mouse dangles before the angry lion's open mouth. On 3 the lion is opening his mouth and delivering the mouse there. "Dear lion, please let me go. I will repay you in the future." In this version, the mouse comes upon the hunter and his dog near the lion trapped on the ground. A great page then has the hunter hoist the lion up, with a physical string doing the lifting. The last page has the mouse riding on the freed lion's mane, with a very tall tree struggling to make it off of the facing page.
