Method to measure the tractor operation parameters from Can Bus
No full textThe market of the agricultural machineries has been recently modified due to globalisation, with an increasing of the competiveness and machinery reliability, and a reduction of cost production and development time. To perform this and, in particular to increase the reliability of the tractor, a tractor design correspondent to the real use on the machines is necessary. For these reasons the analysis of the tractor mission profile is one of the main objectives of tractor manufacturers. The mission profile of the tractor has usually been estimated through the use of questionnaires submitted to consumers followed by the monitoring of some detailed parameters using transducers specifically fitted on the tractor. This procedure is time-consuming and not totally reliable due to the trustworthiness in the questionnaire compilation. In all the high power tractors numerous transducers are fitted to monitor some parameters to optimise the operation of the machine. All of these transducers are connected to an electronic central unit or with the tractor CAN-Bus. In this context, a system able to monitor the operation and use parameters of the machine capitalising the existing transducers could represent the optimal solution for monitoring a high number of tractors, distributed in different regions. The high number of signals are in any case difficult to be memorised without a high quantity of memory. The goal of the paper is to define a methodology to memorise the operation parameters useful to define the mission profile of a tractor using a small memory. A tractor of a nominal power of 170 kW was selected and a system able to measure the signals acquired by the transducers fitted on the tractor was connected to the CAN Bus of the tractor. To reduce the memory requested to store the signals, all the signals were converted on matrices, with a similarly procedure used in the analysis of the strain gauge signals. In this way it is possible to count the number of occurrences for each event as the number of hours of tractor use, the number of hours for each gear use, etc. After a detailed analysis of the parameters measured on the tractor, the useful parameters were defined and acquired during 1000 hours of tractor use in different working conditions.
The method defined in the paper has allowed to store the defined time of about 1000 hours into 100 kB, instead of 24 GB required to memorise all the parameters acquired by the transducers. The analysis of the parameters stored in the memory has allowed a detailed analysis of the operational parameters of the tractor in different applications. These parameters could be used by the engineers to design tractors with a higher quality and reliability and also to define predictive maintenance criteria and reduce the unexpected tractor failures

No full textDurability is the capacity of a machine to maintain its functionality during its intended service life and under recommended conditions of use, observing prescribed levels of maintenance. Durability of a designed vehicle is typically assessed through tests performed on suitable test-rigs, but its evaluation is time consuming (Mattetti, Molari, & Vertua, 2015). This procedure may be shortened by carrying out accelerated tests, where a level of damage equivalent to that of the customer usage is reached in a shortened amount of time. Such tests usually consist in reproducing repeatedly some loading events, for a number of times set by historical results based on factory experience. These loading events condense the majority of the accumulated damage during the tractor service life because the load amplitude is much higher than in any other event (Johannesson & Speckert, 2013).
Axles are among the most critical components of agricultural tractors; the loads acting upon them can be measured with wheel force transducers (WFT) which are mounted between the hub and the wheel rim and measure the forces and the torques along the three axes.
In this paper, a methodology to automatically identify the most damaging loading events and their frequency of occurrence during field operations is described. An agricultural tractor was equipped with WFT and a CAN-BUS based data logger, in order to acquire the load on the axles and the driver’s operation signals such as steering angle, three point hitch position, etc. Signals were acquired for three different applications. These loading events were identified through the analysis of the statistical correlation between the driver’s operation signals and the WFT signals.
By using this methodology, it has been found that the most damaging events for the axles occur during the headland turn

No full textIl saggio si prefigge di analizzare i percorsi politici di Clara Sereni e Luca Zevi, due ebrei romani nati nella seconda metà degli anni quaranta. Nelle loro storie famigliari, la lotta antifascista e la partecipazione al confronto tra i partiti in età repubblicana avevano caratterizzato in modi diversi la rivendicazione di una specifica identità ebraica. Anche per Clara Sereni e Luca Zevi la passione politica fu determinante, specie negli anni della contestazione. Obbiettivo del saggio, dunque, è dimostrare come ebraismo e militanza politica si siano andati intrecciando, nel corso degli anni, producendo un’identità pubblica estremamente fluida. Inoltre, si cercherà di dimostrare come questo processo sia stato fortemente influenzato dal dibattito su Israele e come, in precise fasi storiche, lo Stato ebraico abbia stimolato poderose riflessioni identitarie

Full text linkL’intervento si inserisce nella discussione riguardante l’opportunità di applicare alla poesia italiana la categoria di “neomodernismo” o “secondo modernismo”, prendendo le mosse da due rappresentanti eccellenti del secondo dopoguerra, Vittorio Sereni e Giovanni Raboni. Ci si concentra in particolare su due testi dallo spiccato carattere metapoetico, I versi (negli Strumenti umani, 1965) e Notizia (in Case della Vetra, 1966), per tanti aspetti sovrapponibili.
Si constata, tuttavia, come su tali similarità affiorino ben visibili anche le divergenze, che interessano vari aspetti dei due componimenti, a partire dall’impiego del correlativo oggettivo e dallo statuto dell’io poetante. Divergenze che implicano una diversa concezione della poesia, nonché un diverso rapporto con la tradizione modernista
