Missile Guidance Using Dual-Mode Seeker
No full textThis study developed an analytical method to quantitatively analyze the dual-mode seeker guidance performance. The method derives the seekers' measurement models and implements the Kalman filter. The study takes the RF/IR dual-mode seeker, which is proposed for advanced long/medium range air-to-air missiles, as the example. The two-dimensional guidance loop is used to illustrate the methodology and dimensionless equations are derived for generality. After discussing several missile-target scenarios, the results show that the developed scheme provides sufficiently accurate target information for missile guidance, not only for dual-mode seekers, but also when one of the seekers is jammed. The methodology developed in the study can also be applied to increase the accuracy of target tracking.補正完畢國外紙本GB
Co-creating affirmative learning environments for refugee and asylum-seeker children
No full textMoving to a new Early Years Education and Care (ECEC) service or the first year of school is a major family milestone, but for families with refugee and asylum-seeker status these transitions often involve a unique combination of challenges. More information is needed to support early years educators’ professional understandings of these challenges and to shape effective systemic responses. This longitudinal, qualitative study, based in Brisbane and Logan, Southeast Queensland, explored the experiences of ten children of refugee and asylum-seeker background and their families as the children transitioned from kindergarten to prep.
The research team gathered qualitative data through quarterly interviews with the families and educators. Additionally, observations of the children and educators were carried out from October 2021 to July 2022. Data were analysed using reflective thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006, 2019) and preliminary findings were presented to key stakeholders in November 2022.
There were four key findings: (i) the transitions of refugee and asylum-seeker children are closely connected to the wellbeing and support of their families; (ii) educators play a key role in supporting families; (iii) enrolment and transition processes are complex for refugee families; and (iv) educators need systemic support for professional learning and development in this area

Seekers are an ancient order of time traveling warriors who help those in need. Their head trainer, Quin’s father, does not want John to progress, so he sabotages John’s final trial and banishes him from the estate. Quin and Shinobu become Seekers, but their lives are a nightmare. Quin’s father uses them as assassins, killing for profit. Unfortunately, Quin and Shinobu swore an unbreakable oath to never leave or reveal their work as Seekers. When a vengeful John returns to the estate to forcefully claim his spot as a Seeker, Quin and Shinobu use this distraction to escape from Quin’s deceitful father. Their time traveling takes them to Hong Kong where both teens live separate lives trying to forget their Seeker experiences. Unfortunately, John follows their trail and their Seeker problems resurface
