Du tangible à l’intangible, et retour: la patrimonialisation architecturale et urbanistique entre langue et discours
No full textInternational audienceLinguists, architects, historians, urban planners, geographers... the notion of heritage ("tangible" or "intangible") is very unifying and calls for dialogue and multidisciplinary approaches. It is a question of reading and explaining the interest of sites, urban developments or architectures whose value depends not only on aesthetic characteristics, but also on the environmental context and the historical depth that envelops these "objects". Sites and architectures are praxemes: units of production of meaning that vary according to their culturalisation. This approach inspires the SEAH project, in particular with regard to the creation of teaching materials for students from different cultural backgrounds, based on a large corpus of written and oral texts (in French, in our case) from various textual genres and (sub)domains.Linguistes et architectes, spécialistes du paysage et pédagogues, historiens et archéologues, urbanistes et géographes : la notion de « patrimoine » (« tangible » ou « intangible ») – et celle, connexe, de « patrimonialisation » – est très fédératrice et sollicite dialogues, regards croisés, approches interdisciplinaires. Dans la perspective du lien entre la recherche et la formation, propre au projet SEAH (Sharing European Architectural Heritage), il s’agit de lire, révéler, raconter et expliquer l’intérêt de sites, d’aménagements urbains ou d’architectures dont la valeur dépend non seulement de caractéristiques « intrinsèques », esthétiques et matérielles, mais également du contexte environnemental et de la profondeur sociale, culturelle, historique dans laquelle ces « objets » s’inscrivent. Sites, aménagements et architectures sont donc analysables, linguistiquement, comme des praxèmes, à savoir des unités de production d’un sens qui varie en fonction de la culturalisation des référents. Cette sensibilité aux différences culturelles est au cœur du projet SEAH, en particulier par rapport à la création du matériel pédagogique pour les étudiants venant de différents pays et horizons culturels. La transmission de la valeur patrimoniale à travers la langue et le discours s’appuie sur un vaste corpus, regroupant des textes écrits et oraux relevant de genres textuels et de (sous)domaines divers
