Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi Ternak Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan, Pada bulan Desember 2002 sampai dengan Februari 2003.
Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji berapa besar pengaruh pemberian onggok fermentasi dengan Rhizopus oligosporus terhadap karkas dan Boneless itik peking umur delapan minggu.
Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu: RO (ransum tanpa onggok fermentasi), RI (ransum dengan 5% onggok fermentasi), R2 (ransum dengan 10% onggok fermentasi), R3 (ransum dengan 15% onggok fermentasi), R4 (ransum dengan 20% onggok fermentasi) dan R5 (ransum dengan 25% onggok fermentasi). Parameter pengamatan adalah konsumsi ransum, bobot hidup. persentase karkas dan persentase boneless.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada konsumsi Ransum, perlakuan RO tidak berbeda nyata terhadap RI, tetapi berbeda sangat nyata terhadap R2, R3, R4 dan RS. Perlakuan R2 tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap R3, R4, akan tetapi berbeda sangat nyata terhadap R5. Pada bobot hidup, RS berpengaruh nyata terhadap R0, R1, R2, R3 dan R4. R3 dan R4 berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap RI dan R2 tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap RO, serta RI dan R2 berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap R0. Sampling by non invasive methode is used for wildlife, but for the domesticating animals that are still be used when experiencing difficulties in blood sampling. The aim of this study was to observe metabolites profiles of estrogen and progesterone hormones feces during pregnancy and behavior patterns of the birth of sambar hinds (Cervus unicolor). The descriptive method used in this research and three sambar hinds used in feces sampling. This research was conducted at two locations: the first at sambar deer captivity at University of Sumatera Utara for feces sampling during pregnancy and the second location at Laboratory of Endocrinology, Rehabilitation Unit of Reproductive, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of IPB for hormones analysis, starting form December 2010 until December 2011.
The results showed that profile of estrogen hormone did not parallel. The peak concentration of the progesterone hormone during pregnancy at 10,2 ng/g, that at month 9. After the birth, deer hinds eat her placenta which is the expression of wild animal instinct to protect the fawn from predators.

Pengambilan sampel melalui metode non invasif ditujukan untuk satwa liar namun untuk ternak ternak yang masih dalam proses domestikasi metode ini masih dapat digunakan bila mengalami kesulitan dalam pengambilan sampel darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan profil konsentrasi metabolit hormon estrogen dan progesteron feses selama masa kebuntingan, serta pola kelahiran rusa sambar (Cervus unicolor). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan mengambil sampel feses rusa sambar (Cervus unicolor) dari 3 ekor rusa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di dua lokasi: di penangkaran rusa Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) untuk koleksi feses selama masa kebuntingan rusa dan Laboratorium Endokrinologi Unit Rehabilitasi Reproduksi, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Bogor untuk analisis hormon, mulai dari bulan Desember 2010 sampai dengan Desember 2011.
Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil hormon estrogen tidak paralel. Puncak konsentrasi hormon progesteron selama kebuntingan pada level 10,2 ng/g pada bulan ke 9. Induk rusa memakan plasentanya setelah melahirkan yang merupakan ekspansi dari naluri hewan liar untuk melindungi anak dari mangsa predator.

Tofu is a traditional food of most Indonesian people, besides the low price, it is also easy to make, but the waste produced from this process is quite polluting the environment due to the odor caused and various diseases will arise due to waste disposal that pays less attention to environmental aspects, along with the times of problematic tofu liquid waste can now be used for biogas. This service aims to find out how to process tofu liquid waste into biogas. The method of implementation is the manufacture of tofu waste reservoirs to drum reactors. The community service that the author applies uses a very simple method using used drums and hose pipes connected to the stove. The utilization of natural materials, namely tofu liquid waste in Purwosari Village, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya, is waste that is not utilized, just thrown away. The results obtained that fermented tofu waste can be used for biogas. Therefore, this service is very helpful to improve the economy of the people in the village, in addition to opening up jobs, also spending on households becomes less. Aceh cattle is Indonesian local cattle germplasm that need to be maintained
and developed as a wealth of genetic resources Indonesia has a high adaptability to
disease, parasites, low quality feed and extensive maintenance system. The import of
exotic animals to Indonesian in addition to improving the quality of local beef would
also tend to eliminate the local animal genetic resources in an intersection without
evaluation, control and without taking into account the importance of native cattle to
Indonesian. Therefore, research done phenotypic and morphometric analysis (color
and horn shape) in 205 Aceh cattles (174 females and 31 males) in Aceh Besar
District, Banda Aceh City, Bireuen District, Pidie Jaya District and Aceh Barat
District. Phenotypic data were analyzed descriptively used Excel and the
morphometric data were analyzed by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) used
SPSS 18.
The results of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) indicates that the body
length and chest depth as the Principal Components in Aceh cattle. Aceh Cattle has a
variety of colors and red brick dominant (25.37%) and nutbrown (22.44%). Aceh
Cattle generally horned but where 10.24% are not horns (kupung) on males and
females. Counseling should be do as the given information of Aceh Cattle as
Indonesian local beef germplasm potentian to be developed and preserved for the

The research aimed to determine the utilization of gabus pasir meal on
consumption rations, body weight and conversion rations broiler chickens. The
research was conducted in Jl. Pelita, Binjai, from Agustus until September 2015.
The design was used completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and
6 replications each replications consist of 5 weaning day old chicken (DOC).
Treatments were consisted of P0 (fish meal comercil); P1 (5% waste of gabus
pasir meal); P2 (10% waste of gabus pasir meal).
The result showed the average consumption rations (g/head) for the
treatments of P0, P1 and P2 were (523,76, 523,14 and 486,25, respectively).
Average body weight (g/head) weight (698,83, 733,28 and 627,42, respectively).
Average conversion rations (%) (2,07, 2,03 and 2,29, respectively). Statistic
analysis showed that consumption rations, body weight and conversion rations
were very significant (P>0,01).
The conclusion of this research that gabus pasir meal can be used to 5%

The Purpose of this study was to examine the use of durian seed as a
cornstarch on peformans of kampung chicken. This study was conducted at the
Laboratory of Animal biology animal husbandry Studies program Faculty of
Agriculture, University of North Sumatra Medan. The experimental was
conducted for 90 days starting from 07th of mey, 2015 to 30th of July 2015.
Experimental design used in this research was completely randomized design
(CRD) non factorial with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Where P0: 0% ration
with durian seed flour, 30% corn flour; P1: 10% ration with durian seed flour,
20% corn flour; P2: 20% ration with durian seed flour, 10% corn flour; P3: 30%
ration with durian seed flour, corn flour 0%.Parameters of the substitution were
ration consumption, body weight gain and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR).
The results show that the average of ration consumption P0, P1, P2 and
P3 are 317,63, 315,54, 309,12 and 298,26. Body weight gain P0, P1, P2 and P3
are 90,92, 97,09, 92,40 and 88,84. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) P0, P1, P2 and
P3 are 3,66, 3,34, 3,46 and 3,37. Conclution of the study are thatt the P0, P1, P2
and P3 not influenced significantly (Fhit <0.05) on feed intake, body weight gain

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelompok tani Segar Wangi, di rumah bapak Zulkifli Hasyim lorong Wonorejo di desa Kuala Begumit kecamatan Stabat kabupaten Langkat yang dimulai pada bulan November 2001 sampai Januari 2002. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan berbagai tingkat dosis PGF2a dalam penentuan kecepatan munculnya birahi, persentase keserentakan birahi dan persentase kebuntingan pada domba betina lokal Sumatera.
Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non Faktorial dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu PO (0 miligram PGF2a), P1 (0,63 miligram PGF2a), P2 (1,25 miligram PGF2a), P3 (1,88 miligram PGF2a), P4 (2,50 miligram), setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali dan setiap ulangan perlakuan terdiri dari 1 ekor domba betina lokal Sumatera.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian PGF2a dosis 1,88 mg/ekor berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kecepatan muncul birahi yaitu 46,50 jam setelah penyuntikan dan persentase keserentakan birahi 100% (4 ekor).52 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
