Biocompatible humidity sensor using paper cellulose fiber/GO matrix for human health and environment monitoring
Environmentally friendly humidity sensors with high sensing performance are considered crucial components for various wearable electronic devices. We developed a rapid-response and durable Paper Cellulose Fiber/Graphene Oxide Matrix (PCFGOM) humidity sensor using an all-carbon functional material. The fabricated sensor demonstrated a high sensitivity to humidity through an electrical impedance measurement, with an increase in response to humidity ranging from 10% to 90% at 1 kHz and 10 kHz, respectively, along with a response time of 1.2 s and a recovery time of 0.8 s. The stability of the sensor was also examined, with consistent performance over a period of 24 h. This novel sensor was employed in several applications, including non-contact proximity sensing, environmental humidity detection, and human respiration detection, to showcase its potential. Moreover, this work represents a significant milestone in developing inexpensive and eco-friendly humidity sensors, given the abundance of paper and graphene in nature and their biocompatibility.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Computer Engineerin

Uncertain-monetary promotions: A consumer motivational perspective
The present research explores whether the effectiveness of different types of uncertain-monetary promotions depends on characteristics of the consumer. Study 1 theorized and found support for the hypotheses that buyers’ motivational-orientation and depth of a discount gap influenced the perceived attractiveness of an uncertain-monetary promotion. Specifically, a low-gap uncertain-monetary promotion is more appealing to shoppers compared with a high-gap uncertain-monetary promotion. However, consumers’ promotion-focus intensity reduces the negative effects of a high-discount gap on the effectiveness of an uncertain-monetary promotion. In addition, consumers’ prevention-focus intensity increases the negative effects of a high-discount gap on the effectiveness of an uncertain-monetary promotion. Study 2 shows that more discount options are preferred by consumers compared with fewer discount options in an uncertain-promotion. However, the positive effect of more discount options is only conspicuous with prevention-focused consumers. Finally, academic and managerial implications as well as future research directions of this master thesis are discussed.uncertain-monetary promotionscharacteristics of the consumerorientation and depth discount ga
KREDIBILITAS PERIWAYAT SYI’AH DALAM KITAB SUNAN AL-TIRMIDZI
This study exists from the relationship between the Sunni and Shia who have different theological approaches, especially in the study of hadith. Among the Sunni and the Shia, they have their own classifications and both sides sharply criticize each other, until they disbelieve in each other. However, it is undeniable that in the authoritative book of Sunni hadith there are narrators who come from the Shia. In the most authentic books of Sunni hadith (such as Shahih Bukhari and Shahih Muslim), there are also some narrators who come from mubadda’un, especially the Shia narrators. As Imam Bukhari who became the teacher of Imam al-Tirmidhi, Imam al-Tirmidhi certainly also narrated the same thing. From here, the researcher is interested to study on the history of Shia found in the book of hadith of Sunan al-Tirmidhi, departing from two basic questions: (1) How the biography and jarh wa ta’dil narrative indicated as Shia in the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi? (2) How is the narrative built by the narrator indicated as Shia in the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi?
To answer these two questions, the researcher will use the methods of data reduction, data presentation, and giving conclusions offered by al-Mizzi in his book ‘Tahzib al-Kamal’ and Ibn Hajjar al-Asqalani in his book ‘Taqrib al-Tahzib’. The researcher is also uses the conceptual approach of Jarh wa Ta `dil and the critique of sanad, thus requiring biographical tracking of the books of Tabaqah. From this concept, it can detect the credibility of the narrator indicated as Shia, Tasyayyu’, Ghulat, and Rafidhi, as well as the researcher analyzes the narrative of the hadith brought by the narrator of Shia. The author take some steps to find the names of the Shia narrators in "Pelaku Bid'ah dan Pengaruhnya" by Dr Ahmad Isnaeni in book Jarh wa Ta'dil. In that book, there are data of heresy perpetrators listed in Sunni authoritative books. After that, the writer take a note for the hadith by the Shia narrator through the Mausuah al-hadith and other hadith applications. Then, the writer found some scholars' comments through a book entitled "Jarh wa Tadil". Last but not least, the author concludes about the quality from Shia narrators in the book "Sunan al-Tirmidhi" However, the researcher does not mention the whole related to the history of Shia in the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi, the researcher only limits this analysis to ten narrators.
The conclusions of this research are: (1) The researcher limits the ten narrators, such as Abban bin Taghib, Hakim bin Jubair, Muhammad bin Fudlail, Tsuwair bin Abi Fakhitah Sa’id, Uthman bin Umair, Yahya bin Isa bin Abdur Rahman, Nuh bin Qais, Abad bin Yaqub, Ziyad bin Mundzir, and Umarah bin Juwain, (2) The comments of hadith scholars related to Jarh wa Ta’dil on the history of Shia are not all rejected, but most of hadith scholars reject the hadiths narrated by the Shia, (3) There are Shia narrators who disbelieve the companion of prophet Muhammad (PBUH), (4) There are narrators from Shia who are not so fanatical, Shia Rafidhi, and Shi'ah Ghulat, and (5) There are 42 hadiths from ten narrators of Shia in the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi
Impact of Working Capital Management Policies on Financial Performance of Textile Sector: Evidence from Pakistan Stock Exchange
The study aims at empirically explore the impact of working capital management (WCM) policies on firms performance of most notable and influential sector of textile firms listed in Pakistan stock exchange (PSX). Non-financial sector contributes 13.5% in GDP of Pakistan while textile sector is a major part of this contribution in terms of socio-economic growth in the country. A balanced panel data of 74 Textile sample firms listed on PSX covering the period of 2011-2016 is used for analysis through fixed effect panel data regression approach. The empirical results indicate that adopting a conservative investment policy & aggressive financing policy has a positive impact on firms performance and inventory turnover in days( ITID), average collection period (ACP), SIZE & financial leverage (FL) have negative and significant impact on firms performance whereas, cash conversion cycle (CCC) has positive and significant impact on performance. Finally, average payment period (APP) has negative but insignificant impact on firm’s performance. By validating the findings with previous researches, this endeavor may contribute to the existing literature and may be beneficial to the academicians, investors; managers and policy makers while the study present recommendations that in turn bring improvements in the performance of sample firms

Crossing Linguistic Barriers: Authorship Attribution in Sinhala Texts
Authorship attribution involves determining the original author of an anonymous text from a pool of potential authors. The author attribution task has applications in several domains, such as plagiarism detection, digital text forensics, and information retrieval. While these applications extend beyond any single language, existing research has predominantly centered on English, posing challenges for application in languages such as Sinhala due to linguistic disparities and a lack of language processing tools. We present the first comprehensive study on cross-topic authorship attribution for Sinhala texts and propose a solution that can effectively perform the authorship attribution task even if the topics within the test and training samples differ. Our solution consists of three main parts: (i) extraction of topic-independent stylometric features, (ii) generation of a small candidate author set with the help of similarity search, and (iii) identification of the true author. Several experimental studies were carried out to demonstrate that the proposed solution can effectively handle real-world scenarios involving a large number of candidate authors and a limited number of text samples for each candidate author. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
