WESTERN POETIC INFLUENCES ON MAJEED AMJAD'S POETRY
Majeed Amjad is a great poet of the 20th century who primarily loved his fellow humans, and who expressed this love through his account of deep affection for nature. His poetic grandeur has long been denied, and his artistic status has not been acknowledged the way he deserved it, yet he continued working his own way. Despite facing serious financial hardships, he utilized his artistic abilities aptly and stamped an unerasable shadow of his artistic self on Urdu Literature that will remain with it till the point time this literature will exist. Majeed Amjad, who had been ignored through the efforts of belittling, receives strong impressions of what is all around him and also he gets influenced by the poets and literary artists of the West. As a result of it, he produced such works of art that were apparently seen as derived from the western art canon. Despite western influence, his work stands alone as of independent stature without any blame for plagiarism or even for flat production of copying foreign content.
The present work will investigate the western influence and its imprints upon the poetry of Majeed Amjad, and we will try to understand those nooks and corners of his poetry which are not much known to a systematic critical investigation to date. This research, hence, will open up new pathways for fresh researchers who would invest their critical insight into Amjad’s such poetic interpretations that have remained under surface. Through the present research, we will try to introduce a renewed Majeed Amjad who, despite having been influenced by the western artistic tradition, remained successful in establishing his own independent artistic identity. In our present investigative attempt, we will also explore his artistic independence by looking at whether he succeeded not in establishing his own voice even after absorbing western influence. This research will primarily engage such questions for the consequent debate in the analytical chapters. Hence, after critically looking at western poetic influence on Amjad’s work, this research will introduce the reader to a new Majeed Amjad who had a unique identifying accent that had been unknown till now
Curcumin: A natural pan-HDAC inhibitor in cancer
Background:
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are a group of histone modification enzymes with pivotal
role in disease pathogenesis especially in cancer development. Increased activity of certain types of HDACs and
positive effects of HDAC inhibition has been shown in several types of cancers. Furthermore, few HDAC inhibitors
have been approved by the FDA for cancer treatment, and this has generated interest in finding new HDAC
inhibitors as potential anti-cancer agents. Curcumin, a natural polyphenol extracted from turmeric, is a safe and
bioactive phytochemical with a wide range of molecular targets and pharmacological activities including promising
anti-cancer properties.
Methods:
A systematic literature search using appropriate keywords was made to identify articles reporting the
modulatory effect of curcumin on HDACs in different types of cancer in vitro and in vivo.
Results:
HDACs have emerged as novel targets of curcumin that their modulation may contribute to the putative
anti-cancer effects of curcumin. Curcumin inhibits HDAC activity, and down-regulates the expression of HDAC
types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 11 in different cancer cell lines and mice, while the activity and expression of HDAC2
have been reported to be up-regulated by curcumin in COPD and heart failure models.
Conclusion:
Available in vitro and in vivo data are encouraging and in favor of the HDAC inhibitory activity of
curcumin but clinical evidence on the efficacy of curcumin as an adjunct treatment in cancer patients is lacking.

Business process improvement using multi-objective optimisation
Business process redesign and improvement has become an increasingly attractive subject in the wider area of business process intelligence. Although there have been many attempts to establish a business process redesign framework, there is little work on the actual optimisation of business processes with given objectives. Furthermore, most of the attempts to optimise a business process are manual and do not involve a formal automated methodology. This paper proposes a process improvement approach for automated multi-objective optimisation of business processes. The proposed framework uses a generic business process model that is formally defined. The formal definition of business processes is necessary to ensure that the optimisation will take place in a clearly defined, repeatable and verifiable way. Multi-objectivity is expressed in terms of process cost and duration as two key objectives for any business process. The business process model is programmed and incorporated into a software optimisation platform where a selection of multi-objective optimisation algorithms can be applied to a business process design. This paper outlines a case study of business process design that is optimised by the state-of-the-art multi-objective optimisation algorithm NSGA2. The results indicate that, although business process optimisation is a highly constrained problem with fragmented search space, a number of alternative optimised business processes that meet the optimisation criteria can be produced. The paper also provides directions for future research in this area
Assessment of Nurses' Knowledge toward Urinary Incontinence in Al-Hilla City
Purpose: to assess nurses' knowledge toward urinary incontinence, to find out the association between nurses' knowledge and demographic characteristics.
Methods: A descriptive quantitative study design has been dependent in the conducted data at the city of Hilla/Babil Health Directorate/ Imam Al-Sadiq hospital, Al-Hilla teaching hospital, and Merjan teaching hospital during the period December 19th, 2021 to March, 1st 2022. A non-probability (purposive) sample of (60) nurses those who were working in the medical ward, surgical ward and dialysis unit. The main tool used to nurses’ knowledge assessment and data collection was needs questionnaire, and it is consist of two parts: Part 1 included socio-demographic data and Part 2 include (43) items related to nurses' knowledge. The validity of study tool is determined by a panel of (14) experts and reliability of the questionnaire is determined through the use of test and re-test.
Results: revealed that majority of nurses had moderate knowledge regarding urinary incontinence. There was non-significant association between the nurses’ knowledge toward urinary incontinence and their age, gender, educational level, workplace, years of services, training courses.
Conclusion: The most of the nurses whose took part in this study had insufficient information about urine incontinence.Corresponding Author

مجیدامجد کاوجودی تصور ِ بے گانگی
Majeed Amjad is an established poet of modern Urdu. He is recognized by his unique style, diction and dealing of the issues. Though he lived away from the centre of literature and was contended with a simple life, he thought and wrote on issues prevalent in the literary circles. His observation compelled him to raise questions against life, existence and world etc. He developed a sense of indifference in his life which later got permeated in his poetry. This article is a study of Majeed's concept of indifference.
