The paper aims to build and consolidate cooperation networks between the Apulian associations in the world, public administrations and private operators in the tourism sector, adopting a coordinated marketing strategy to stimulate and satisfy the demand for identity research. The presidents and members of three associations were interviewed. From the interviews, these associations are recognised as having the role of preserving traditions and popular culture. The Apulian associations abroad create important Apulian showcases worldwide; they are essential vehicles for promoting tourism in the area. Adopting network logic is recognised but not creating a network that brings together associations, public administrators and private operators

Focus on the Role and Point of View of Municipal Administrations in the Apulia Region on the Phenomenon of Roots Tourism Through a Factor Analysis
The paper deals with a very important topic for Italian southern regions and therefore for Apulia and for smaller destinations like the internal and peripheral areas that could become tourist destinations if they were properly organized to host roots tourists. In the past few centuries Italian southern regions were characterized by poverty, misery and unemployment that obliged many people to emigrate to distant lands in search of a better life. However, many of them never forgot their places of origin. The municipalities of the Daunia Apennine foothills have been heavily affected by past and current migratory phenomena. There, the phenomenon of depopulation must be curbed through the local territory and resources development.
This research stems from the awareness that in Italy roots tourism has not yet been studied in depth and even from the operational point of view little has been done, i.e., there are few initiatives created for this tourism segment. It was soon noted that in order to successfully plan the tourist offer for roots tourists it was necessary to know this segment in depth, because it has specificities: roots tourists’ tastes, preferences and behaviours during their holidays are different from other kinds of tourists. In the light of this, it was necessary to understand what local administrators think of the phenomenon of roots tourism, what interest they have developed in this regard, the initiatives they have taken and how public administrators should be made more aware of this segment
Roots tourism in the south of Italy: the role of the municipalities
In this chapter the main results of a quantitative survey that was conducted by all the municipalities in the regions of Calabria and Puglia are presented. The goal is to more thoroughly understand the behaviours and levels of awareness of the local administrations in reference to the phenomenon of roots tourism. The survey is exploratory and preliminary in nature. It represents the basis for future research and aims to observe the municipal representatives' perceptions and knowledge with reference to roots tourism and to its potential for the development of the territories. The questionnaire's responses are based on the opinion of the public administrations and are not, therefore, objective infomation and data, but, on the contrary, they are subjective viewpoints. However, they provide useful information for reaching the survey's objective. It has already been stated how it is crucial that Italy aims for, like other nations, roots tourism, by adopting adeguate strategies and programs. Together with the national government, even the local government should plan political tools to aspire to promote the increase in roots tourism in addition to implementing educational, exchanges and hospitality programs for the members of the community who have emigrated and their descendants. There are numerous initiatives that the town administrations can undertake in order to nurture the form of tourism in consideration and to expand the level of satisfaction of the ancestral tourists. It is therefore advantageous to know the situazion in some of the territories, in order to determine if the phenomenon has been unerstood in all its potentiality, how much attention the local administrations dedicate to it, what efforts are made so that the flow of roots tourists increases and if the tourist segment in consideration is regarded a primary target or not. For this reason the decision was made to dedicate a survey for the municipalities of the two regions thet have been greatly interested in the past and present migratory phenomena

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
