Backward Stochastic Differential Equations driven by càdlàg martingales

    No full text
Backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) arise in many financial problems. Although there exists a growing number of papers considering general financial markets, the theory of BSDEs has been developed just in the Brownian setting. We consider BSDEs driven by an R(d)-valued cadlag martingale and we study the properties of the solutions in the case of a, possibly nonuniform, Lipschitz generator

AI- Enhanced education and beliefs: training course on bullying and cyberbullying prevention

    No full text
In the context of education, in-depth analysis of new technologies emerges as a crucial element in adapting to new educational dynamics. The adoption of hybrid media practices, if initially seen as foreign to the traditional school context, presents extraordinary opportunities, but also significant challenges. The school, in fact, is called upon to play a fundamental role, in the perspective of inclusion didactics (Perla, 2013), identifying and counteracting any form of exclusion (Perla, 2013). In this context, phenomena such as bullying and cyberbullying are strongly emerging, which in addition to increasing stereotypes or negative prejudices in order to humiliate, insult or denigrate marginalised individuals or groups, find fertile ground in digital interactions and can have devastating consequences on the mental health and well-being of children (Perla, Garofoli, Amati, & Santacroce, 2022). The potential of Artificial Intelligence can reshape our future and significantly affects several areas of life, including teaching/learning processes. This contribution aims to present the results of a collaborative research/training project undertaken with two Apulian comprehensive schools aimed at primary and secondary school teachers through the use of various methodologies and tools, including AI, hackathon methodology and storytelling, in order to acquire practical skills to identify, prevent and manage conflict situations within the school environment

Il ruolo attuale del microbiologo clinico nella gestione delle infezioni respiratorie (The role of the clinical microbiologist in the management of the respiratory infections today)

Respiratory infections are widespread and are responsible for severe human infectious diseases. Their importance is related to the high economic and social costs due to health expenses for therapies and hospitalization, as well as lack of productivity Microbiological laboratory is still now a special concern, because of the possibility of a short time diagnosis, thanks also to molecular methods. Indeed, these methods offer the high advantage of the rapid identification of the microorganisms responsible for the infections, by overcoming the usually long times of the "in vitro" growth or making possible early administration of specific antibiotics and decreasing the risk for resistant strain selection. Clinical microbiologist appears, therefore, to be strategic for both diagnosis and therapeutic management of these patients
