This work examines the progressive deterioration in the relations between the national government of Mexico and the Mexican Communist Party in the 1920s until the communists were finally forced into clandestine work. Some of the factors that motivated the confrontation were: on one hand, the consolidation of the post-revolutionary state in Mexico and the improved relations with the United States and on the other hand, changes in Comintern policy. Based in documents from the agn Mexico (Dirección General de Investigaciones Políticas y Sociales), the author illustrates the forms of surveillance and repression conducted by the Mexican government against communists, who were considered a threat to political stability
Analysis of time and cost using time cost trade off method in pressure vessel project
One of the construction companies got a Pressure Vessel project job. During the process of working on the project, it was delayed from the predetermined date so that the company had to pay a fine of 0.2% every day. So it is necessary to analyze project scheduling in order to get the optimal time and cost of working on this project. The methods used in this research are Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO), Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) and crashing. Acceleration is carried out on all critical paths contained in fabrication activities. This study uses alternatives to accelerate the addition of 50% and 75% labor. The results of this study obtained the optimal time and cost with the alternative of adding 75% labor. The resulting acceleration duration is 75 days faster than the actual duration, with costs incurred of Rp. 161,386,836, -, resulting in a 56% decrease from the actual duration cost of Rp. 286,961,745, -. Analysis of the S-curve found that the accelerated duration can be completed faster than the actual duration because, the curve line on the accelerated duration is more sloping closer to the y-axis indicating greater progress each week

Analysis of Ovality Deviation of Bending Superheater Tube Boiler Fabrication Process with Six Sigma Method in Manufacturing Company
Quality control in fabrication is critical to the success of the production process. In this study, key factors in production quality control were identified by analyzing the influence on the tube bending process in fabrication work. Ovality deviations occur during the tube bending process that exceeds 9 percent. 30 boiler superheater tube elements had to go through the repair process. The causes of tube bending deviations were analyzed using the Six Sigma approach with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) methodology. The causes of failure were analyzed using FMEA, and the highest RPN of 320 was obtained due to design planning and manufacturing of bending dies that are in accordance with the OD tube and the placement of clamp die and pressure die distances that are not too far apart. In addition, an RPN value of 294 was obtained due to the bending speed being too high. The recommendation for the next project is to consider using a C-Frame machine with better control to make it easier for operators to adjust the pressure, temperature, and speed of a good machine to better maintain ovality
Francis Bacon: Painting in A Godless World
Throughout his career, Francis Bacon (1909-1992) made many anti-religious and, more specifically, anti-Christian statements. Bacon was a militant atheist but his atheism was not a simple dismissal of religion and religious belief. He exploited the symbols of Christianity, especially the Crucifixion and the Pope, in order to show its untenability in the modern age. Setting out to account for Bacon's recurrent and sustained use of religious symbols, Rina Arya explains how the artist redeployed religious iconography to convey an experience of the human condition, specifically animalism and mortality. By placing the work within the context of post-war philosophical pre-occupations with the death of God, the author provides a robust framework in which to view and interpret Bacon's complex images. Refreshingly original, this book marks a new approach to appreciating the work of one of the leading artists of the twentieth century

Learning Achievement Analysis of Male and Female Students at the PPNS and Polmed to Meet the Global Challenges
Industry revolution 4.0 era provides opportunities as well as threats for the students and alumni graduated from vocational education. Man roles are gradually taken by automatic machines. Consequently, unemployment is increasing. This certainly will contribute to the either local or national problems. Therefore, vocational education students have to intensify their learning achievements. This study discusses the learning achievements of the male and female students at the Shipbuiding Institute of Polytechnic Surabaya (PPNS) and Medan State Polytechnic (Polmed). The analysis of learning achievements in this study used the documentation data of the GPA in scale 4, taking the whole population either male (M) or female (F) in the academic year 2015/2016, 2016/2017, and 2017/2018. In the last three years, total PPNS’s graduates are 1959 (1418 male, 541 female) and Polmed’s are 5938 (2821 male, 3117 female). Based on the descriptive quantitative analysis, the average of learning achievements at PPNS shows that accumulated GPA of the female students’ is 3.39 > male students’ 3.28. While at Polmed, it is GPA of female students’ is 3.27 > male students’ 3.14. Total of students is still gender imbalance referring to the graduates data in year 2018 for PPNS’ Welding Study Program in which having only two female students with average GPA 3.41 and 53 students with average GPA 3.15, meanwhile at Polmed, the total students with largest gap in gender occured at the Mechanical Engineering Study Program with total of male students 240 (average GPA 3.10) and female students only 11 (average GPA 3.20). This result indicates that in these two vocational educational institutions, e.i. PPNS and Polmed, the learning achievement of female students is betterand more competitivable than the othe
Teaching Seakeeping for Ships and Offshore Structures: A Delicate Balance
Seakeeping is traditionally taught for Naval Architecture using mainly ships as examples. Many books are also available in a similar way citing ships as examples. However, in order to cater for students in offshore or Ocean Engineering, a paradigm shift is inevitable. The author teaches Seakeeping Part of the Module Marine Dynamics for Stage 2 students of both streams: Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering. The available hours are limited, and within this span of time the students of both streams have to be taught basic seakeeping aspects citing examples of both ships and offshore structures. This is rather a challenge. As the same group of students study another Module Marine and Offshore Mechanics, a delicate balance need to be maintained so that both groups of students can have equal understanding of the subsequent module with ease and comfort. The author has now done it for last 5 years and according to him, most of the students finally manage to understand the module quite well. The author thinks that teaching and learning in Stage 2 has been the root of the final success

Implementation of Critical Chain Project Management Method on Controlling the Pipeline Project
In the implementation of construction projects, the incompatibility between plan and actual schedule that cause an additional time and cost is oftenly occurring. The Pipeline Project started in July 2022 and scheduled for completion in November 2022. However, in actuality the project finished in July 2023. Based on this case, an acceleration method needs to be implemented so that the project can be completed quickly and efficiently. One of the methods applied is Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). Scheduling is carried out using the actual duration of the project that applied with CCPM. The actual duration of the project is 318 days. Furthermore, by using the CCPM, the duration is become 216 days. So, by using the CCPM, the project is completed 32.08% faster than the actual duration of the project. Based on the results of the analysis, by applying the CCPM method is able to make an optimal duration of the project
