Quality Management Maintenance and Practices-Technical and Non-Technical Approaches
No full textAbstractThere are few major types of quality management maintenance and practices theories, but not much studies show the connections between those theories. This paper determines the new research area of technical and non-technical approaches in quality management, and also shows the connection of technical and non-technical approaches with the other major theories of quality management maintenance and practices. A thorough review is employed to sort out the literature and develop the framework of paper. The review is concentrated on all the major theories which have contributed to technical and non technical approaches. There are lack of researches to define and study the application of technical and non-technical approaches. Moreover, non-technical approach is partially related with human behavioral issues and the it can influence overall management system to balance up with technical approach so that continuous improvement in quality management system can be achieved. Hence, this paper provides useful implications into the similarities between human behavioral issues and non-technical approach researches. Therefore, this paper should be exceedingly valuable to researchers who intended to enhance the study of technical and nontechnical approaches
Enterprise Risk Management Practices in Malaysian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: An Overview
Get PDFSMEs are crucial to the economic growth of many countries, particularly developing ones like Malaysia. SMEs have contributed significantly to economic growth but they also often struggle with problems related to poor management, which increases the risk of failure and closure. Effective risk management is essential in sustaining the long-term sustainability of SMEs and improving managerial performance. This study investigates the enterprise risk management (ERM) practices used by Malaysian SMEs in the manufacturing sector. The factors influencing the risk management behaviors and practices of SME manufacturing workers and their compliance with risk management protocols are examined in this study using a mixed-methods approach. This study focuses on employee behavior to better understand how organizational culture affects risk management techniques in SMEs. To design effective reward and recognition programs, this research also examines the psychological components of risk management while accounting for the organizational, societal, and financial challenges that followed the 2008 financial crisis. The study also examines the impact of organizational structure on the efficacy of risk management initiatives in small and medium-sized enterprises. The practical findings of the study are expected to demonstrate the extent to which ERM influences organizational effectiveness in Malaysia's SME manufacturing sector. This study intends to equip industry participants with the knowledge and confidence necessary to implement ERM successfully in their operations by offering insights into the factors that encourage and impede ERM adoption and its impact on organizational performance. This research advances ERM practices among SMEs and strengthens Malaysian businesses' resilience and risk awareness

With increasing awareness on the need for sustainable development, works have been done on sustainability assessment of product design and manufacturing processes. The sustainable manufacturing, 6R method can be adopted to improve the existing design and manufacturing sustainability scores. A conceptual hybrid framework integrating lean manufacturing with sustainable manufacturing theories has been developed thus enabling the benefits from both techniques to be gained. Specifically, the lean manufacturing, value stream mapping tool is integrated with the sustainable manufacturing, 6R method to assist in solving manufacturing problems at process and or plant level sustainably. An indicator, providing the sustainability scores on value adding and non value adding elements at present and future state, has been proposed as part of the framework
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
The Relationship of Green Supply Chain Management and Green Innovation Concept
No full textAbstractIncreasing environmental concern from customers, buyers, communities, and government regulations have forced companies to implement Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and green innovation. GSCM and green innovation have strategic interconnection in developing new green product. Little research attention on this relationship cannot boost better understanding for academic and practitioners. The purpose of this paper is to review the recent literatures that discuss the relationship between GSCM and green innovation. The findings of this paper show that GSCM leads to green innovation. However, future studies should be included the whole GSCM practices in exploring the link on green innovation and also directly increase empirical evidence to support the relationship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Sustainable supplier selection as a crucial decision can affect the overall degree of sustainability in a supply chain. In this paper, an integrated approach of clustering and multi criteria decision making methods have been proposed in order to solve sustainable supplier selection problem. Firstly, self- organizing map as one of the well-known neural network methods has been utilized in order to cluster and prequalify the suppliers based on customer demand attribute and sustainability elements. Then, multi criteria decision making methods will be utilized in order to rank the cluster of suppliers to make coordination between them and customers. A case study has been carried out in order to show the efficiency of proposed approach
