No full textThis report is basically the designing of fluid machine system using a Francis Turbine. We carried out our design starting from the Francis Turbine that has already existed in the laboratory but the efficiency is no or due to non constant head while "operating. We have come to conclusion that the designing of the system is buying a self-contained unit. The objective of this design is to get a constant head while the pump and the turbine are on elating.-Furthermore it is an opportunity for us to study about —turbomachinery. The designing of a fluid system is perhaps the most practical and most active application of the principle of fluid mechanics. Also in this project we have to consider all the losses throughout the system proposed. By considering this factor we have to make a selection of pipe, valve, pump etc. Itis also wisely stated here that 'this design could be the proposal of: fluid system at the Fluid Mechanic Laboratory in TTM, Shah Alam

Maintenance Management at Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, Kuala Lumpur: A Case Study
No full textMasjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad Kuala Lumpur (MJSASKL) is a historic landmark in Kuala Lumpur, established in 1909 and designated a National Heritage site by the National Heritage Department, Ministry of Unity, Culture, and Arts. As a center for worship, community activities, and tourism, maintaining its facilities\u27 performance is crucial. Current maintenance practices primarily rely on corrective approaches, potentially hindering facility performance and leading to suboptimal management practices within the organization. This study aims to investigate the maintenance practices implemented by MJSASKL management. Using qualitative methods, structured interviews were conducted with key personnels from MJSASKL management and the Development Unit of JAWI. Findings reveal that while MJSASKL management has established a structured maintenance framework, challenges include limited maintenance personnel for assessing maintenance needs and adherence to maintenance budget guidelines set by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). The study contributes by providing insights that can support MJSASKL management and other stakeholders in effective facility maintenance management

This occasion is organized to honor the students and committee members of the Diploma in Information Management who achieved outstanding results on the most recent examination and those who have served and represented the faculty in various campus and university-level activities. After a single day of conduct, the event concluded on Saturday afternoon, January 6, 2024. Students commenced their presence in the Banquet Hall of the Penview Hotel in Kuching at 1:30 p.m. on that fateful Saturday, anticipating directives from the INFORMS committee prior to the commencement of the program. Sharin Bin Sulaiman telah mengambil insiatif untuk mengadakan satu jamuan pagi bersama para pensyarah Pusat Pengajian Sains Maklumat terutama yang pernah mengajar mereka dari semester 1 hingga semester akhir. Jamuan pagi ini diadakan pada 19 Januari 2024 hari Jumaat pada pukul 9.00 pagi bertempat di blok G bilik kuliah G109. Antara pensyarah yang hadir ialah En. Sharin Bin Sulaiman selaku Penasihat Akademik, Puan Norlida binti Ismailly, Dr Hajah Imilia binti Ibrahim, Puan Sabariah binti Abdul Samad, Puan Nurfaizah binti Kamarudin, Puan Zainon binti Haji Bibi, Ts Abdul Ismail bin Mohd Jawi dan Cik Nor Hayati binti Kassim dan seramai 17 orang mantee yang hadir manakala 3 lagi tidak dapat hadir atas urusan peribadi. Intellectual property laws and Islam in Malaysia.
No full textPhDThis study is undertaken on the premise that Islam and Islamic law is to be taken into
serious consideration in any future legislative reform of laws in Malaysia. Islam being
the religion of the country and the strong religious sentiment of the Muslims (who
form the majority in Malaysia) cannot be overlooked or dismissed lightly by the
legislators in Malaysia. Reformation of intellectual property laws is timely, as we are
now approaching to the dateline set by GATF-Trips agreement which aim is to
improve our standard of intellectual property protection. This study seeks to analyze
and evaluate the current legislation pertaining to intellectual property in Malaysia in
terms of the philosophy and rules governing the existence, ownership and exercise of
these rights and their consistency and inconsistency with Islam and Islamic law. The
main objective of this study is to prove that a coherent and logical conceptual
framework of ownership of intellectual property can be derived from an Islamic
perspective which not only offers the basis of rights but also defines the scope of
these rights. From the point of ownership of rights, support can be obtained from the
normative framework of property rights within the traditional classification of 'mal'
(property) and 'haqq al-milkiyyah' (ownership rights) under Islamic law. From the
point of exercise of rights, the exact scope can be defined from the analysis of
fundamental concepts which have been developed by Muslim jurists. It has been
established that Islam and Islamic law offers a sound and systematic paradigm, which
in deeper analysis, can satisfy both our current obligations under international
treatises, as well as our responsibility to practise our religion to the fullest

No full textPemuliharaan warna asal bangunan bersejarah amatlah penting kerana ia dapat memberi satu bukti yang benar tentang sejarah bangunan. Bangunan bersejarah dapat dilihat pada masa kini dengan visual yang sebenar; bangunan bersejarah yang telah dipulihara akan membawa bersama maksud dan transformasi masa lalu yang amat bermakna melalui warna-warna pada fasad dan elemen bangunan. Warna-warna yang dipilih dan digunakan oleh tukang-tukang atau artisan semasa bangunan bersejarah disiapkan, dapat menceritakan sosio budaya masyarakat dan teknologi ketika itu. Apakah warna yang ada pada 1800? Apakah tren atau kesukaan masyarakat pada 1900? Apakah warna bangunan-bangunan pada era kolonial? Perkara ini menjadi tanda tanya memandangkan bukti dan gambaran sejarah tentang bangunan warisan adalah ‘hitam putih’. Hari ini warna memainkan peranan penting dalam aspek estetik. Warna dapat menjelas dan menonjolkan karektor bahan binaan seperti merah warna genting, kelabu warna dinding batu dan perang warna kayu. Sebagai contoh: putih untuk gereja, merah untuk balai bomba dan pejabat pos dan biru untuk balai polis. Peranan
estetik warna terhadap bangunan bersejarah juga dapat dilihat pada bangunan bersejarah. Sebagai contoh
bangunan Sutan Abdul Samad mendedahkan warna bata merah pada keseluruhan fasad bangunan, menyumbang kepada keunikan karektor bangunan ini. Usaha pemuliharaan bangunan yang melibatkan keseluruhan prinsip asas termasuk skima warna telah menghasilkan suasana rupa bandar yang indah dan harmoni serta menonjolkan tren dan skima warna yang dapat dibezakan warna yang asal (bersejarah) dan yang baru
