No full textЮрій Іздрик – інтелектуал широкого діапазону, про що свідчить його різнобічний розвиток у багатьох мистецьких сферах. Поет, прозаїк, культуролог, музикант, художник, хоч починав працю на Івано-Франківському заводі автоматизованих ливарних машин (1984–1986), згодом – Калуському науково-дослідному інституті галургії (1986–1990). Розглянемо кожну з іпостасей його окремо. За освітою – інженер, за його ж словами, пішов
з заводу через те, що це було нудно та страшно помилитися бодай кількома міліметрами, бо деталь тоді б вважалася браком. Як про поета, про нього більше скажуть численні спільноти в соціальних мережах, велика кількість відеошанувальників творчості,
електронні щоденники, а також низка поетичних збірок ( «Underwor (l) d» (2011), «Ю» (2013), «Після прози» (2013), «Ab out» (2014), «Календар любові» (2015) . Прикметно, що проза Іздрика розкладається на два цикли за жанровою специфікою: а) малі оповідання, есеї
та начерки, зокрема дебютний цикл «Остання війна» (1992), Таке» (2009), «Флешка.
Дефрагментація» (2007, 2009), «Флешка-2GB» (2009) та повістево-романний епос («Острів
КРК» (1993), «Воццек» (1997), «Подвійний Леон» (2000), «АМтм» (2004). Ще з самого
дитинства, граючи на фортепіано, освоїв самостійно електронну гітару, аби стати
учасником гурту «DrumтИатр», спільно з його товаришем-поетом Грицьком Семенчуком.
Наразі Іздрик більше тяжіє до музики, ніж до інших видів мистецтва

документ епохи, що дає багатоаспектне уявлення про заборону на духовні цінності, якою радянська влада пригнічувала і знищувала творчу інтеліґенцію, змушуючи її заради виживання ставати на рейки соціалістичного реалізму або терпіти злидні, рабську працю, знищення здоров’я й елементарного права на життя. Авторка на собі і на своїй родині пізнала, що таке радянський тоталітаризм, як він гнітить людину, позбавляючи її права на
свободу думки, почуття і дії, під ідеологічним тиском якої знаходилось покоління шістдесятників, що вдруге після Розстріляного Відродження ХХ ст. піднялося проти системи і її гуманітарної політики. Книга «Люди не зі страху» Світлани Кириченко є достовірним документом епохи знищення всього українського, що мало місце не тільки у 60-80 роках, але й усього минулого століття. Це посутній додаток до літературної версії епохи
шістдесятництва. Це підтвердження тих тортур, які пережили українські митці, філософи, перебуваючи у радянських концтаборах (чоловік авторки Ю. Бадзьо, В. Стус, І. Світличний, І. Дзюба та ін.)
Late prose by Borys Necherda: the novel “Quadro”
No full textАктуальність статті зумовлена гострою необхідністю дослідити роман-прозріння, роман-передбачення «Квадро» лауреата Шевченківської премії , шістдесятника Бориса Нечерди. Метою дослідження є аналіз пізньої прози письменника у контексті одеської літературної школи. Предметом дослідження є жанрові та стильові параметри творів, зокрема роману «Квадро», спостереження про які становлять новизну дослідження. У результаті дослідження за допомогою герменевтичного методу доведено кількісну і якісну значущість прози митця на підставі комплексного дослідження роману «Квадро» як вершини творчості письменника. Проведене дослідження дає підстави визначати «Квадро» як філософськии постмодернии роман, втілении у гостросюжетну форму. Роман має такі якості притчі, як апеляція до позачасового характеру вічних проблем, філософськии характер ї х обґрунтування, широке використання бібліи ного інтертексту, моральна настанова, афористичність мови, узагальненість та метафоричність естетичного мислення. Водночас твір містить характерні риси пригодницького, детективного жанру, хоч і не ґрунтується на детективніи фабулі. Синтетичнии характер жанру дозволяє автору залучати в текст ліричні мініатюри, есеї , памфлетні елементи. Ці жанрові особливості спонукають розглядати роман у контексті постмодерністської манери письма, яка у творчості Бориса Нечерди проявляється через інтертекстуальність, образи-архетипи, у поданні твору як своєрідного художнього коду, що потребує розшифрування через полісемію символів та синкретизм метафор і асоціаціи . Перспективами дослідження є аналіз рецепції пізньої творчості Бориса Нечерди в сучасності. Своєю формулою «Замовте за мене золоте слово», увиразненою в «Останніи книзі» «осіннього» періоду, автор вказав на один зі шляхів вивчення и ого місця в украї нськіи культурі. Нечерді присвячено чимало творів, и ого образ відбито у полотнах художників, зокрема славнозвісного Юрія Коваленка, що був прототипом герої в и ого прози.The relevance of the article is determined by the need to investigate the novel-epiphany, the novel-prediction “Quadro” by the laureate of the Shevchenko Prize Borys Necherda. The purpose of the research is to analyse the late prose of the writer in the context of the Odessa literary school. The subject of the research is the genre and style parameters of the works, in particular, the novel “Quadro”, the observations of which constitute the novelty of the research. As a result of the research, using the hermeneutic method, the quantitative and qualitative significance of the artist’s prose was proven on the basis of a comprehensive study of the novel “Quadro” as the pinnacle of the writer’s creativity. The conducted research gives reasons to define “Quadro” as a philosophical postmodern novel, embodied in a plot form. The novel has the qualities of a parable, such as an appeal to the timeless nature of eternal problems, the philosophical nature of their justification, the wide use of biblical intertext, moral guidance, aphoristic language, generalization, and metaphorical aesthetic thinking. At the same time, the work contains characteristic features of the adventure and detective genre, although it does not contain a detective plot. The synthetic nature of the genre allows the author to include lyrical miniatures, essays, and pamphlet elements in the text. These genre features encourage the author to consider the novel in the context of the postmodern manner of writing, which in the work of Borys Necherda manifests itself through intertextuality, archetypal images, and presentation of the work as a kind of artistic code that needs to be deciphered through the polysemy of symbols and the syncretism of metaphors and associations. The perspectives of the research are the analysis of the reception of the late works of Borys Necherda in modern times. With his formula “Order a golden word for me”, expressed in the “Last Book” of the late period, the author indicated one of the ways of studying his place in Ukrainian culture. After all, many works have been dedicated to Necherda, his image is reflected in the canvases of artists, in particular the famous Yuriy Kovalenko, who was the prototype of the heroes of Necherda‘s prose
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
