On the Complexity of Symmetric Polynomials
The fundamental theorem of symmetric polynomials states that for a symmetric polynomial f_{Sym} in C[x_1,x_2,...,x_n], there exists a unique "witness" f in C[y_1,y_2,...,y_n] such that f_{Sym}=f(e_1,e_2,...,e_n), where the e_i's are the elementary symmetric polynomials.
In this paper, we study the arithmetic complexity L(f) of the witness f as a function of the arithmetic complexity L(f_{Sym}) of f_{Sym}. We show that the arithmetic complexity L(f) of f is bounded by poly(L(f_{Sym}),deg(f),n). To the best of our knowledge, prior to this work only exponential upper bounds were known for L(f). The main ingredient in our result is an algebraic analogue of Newton's iteration on power series. As a corollary of this result, we show that if VP != VNP then there exist symmetric polynomial families which have super-polynomial arithmetic complexity.
Furthermore, we study the complexity of testing whether a function is symmetric. For polynomials, this question is equivalent to arithmetic circuit identity testing. In contrast to this, we show that it is hard for Boolean functions

Original Article Comparative Evaluation of the Reinforcing Effect of Different Post Systems in the Restoration of Endodontically Treated Human Anterior Teeth at Two Different Lengths of Post Space Preparation- An in Vitro Study
Objectives: Comparative evaluation of the reinforcing effect of different post systems in the restoration of endodontically treated human anterior teeth at two different lengths of post space preparation- an in vitro study Materials and Methods: 135 extracted human incisors were endodontically treated, out of which 120 teeth were decoronated 2mm above the cementoenamel junction and divided into four experimental groups based on the post system to be used: Glass fiber post (GFP) and stainless steel post (SSP), titanium post (TTP), cast metal post (CMP). Each group was divided into two sub-groups according to the length of post space preparation: 5mm and 10mm. All the samples were res-tored with metal crowns. The fracture resistance was measured by applying loads at an angle of 135º to the long axis of teeth in an instron universal testing ma-chine. Fracture mode was analyzed for all the samples. Results from the four test groups were compared and analysed using one-way ANOVA test and the Post-hoc Bonferroni test to demonstrate differences between pairs of groups

Along with its effects on the primary dentition it can also have effects on the development of the permanent dentition. One world one sun one grid: : a (modi)fication in India’s environment
With a growing population and its needs, India is moving towards more pollution and less non-renewable resources left for the future generations. In this chaotic state, one thing certain is that India’s power requirement will grow. Renewable energy plays a significant role in providing sustainable and clean energy and mitigating climate change. As energy lies at the heart of the climate dilemma, producing 100 GW of solar energy by 2022 is a commendable but ambitious goal of India under Paris Accord of Climate Change. It is evident that the development of the Indian solar energy sector hinges on the combination of legislative framework, financial mechanisms, local manufacturing sector, environmentally sound technology, etc. Despite the growing impetus of solar energy in India, there are still gaps in its governance. In this article, the author focuses on the current status, challenges and future prospects of solar energy development in India and sums up the way forward with recommendations to address some of these gaps.</p
