Joni Mitchell: New Critical Readings
Joni Mitchell: New Critical Readings presents a wide range of critical approaches for thinking about the oeuvre of musician and artist Joni Mitchell. It showcases work by leading academics from the fields of popular music and culture on subjects as varied as Mitchell’s environmentalism, the politics of ageing in her work, and her often fraught relationship with feminism.</p

Kata kunci : analisis stilistika, cerpen, dongeng penunggu surau A short story is a literary work that is unique in comparison to other literary works. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stylistics or language styles used by the author in compiling the story into an interesting short story. There are several elements that must be considered in the subject of this analysis. These elements include lexical elements, grammatical elements, the use of rhetoric, and the use of cohesion in the short story "Dongeng Penunggu Surau" by Joni Ariadinata. The research method used in this research is to use a qualitative descriptive method. The results and discussion of this study can briefly be explained that there are data that have been found both lexically and grammatically. In this short story there are 953 words consisting of 425 nouns, 220 adjectives, 215 verbs, 58 assignments, 35 numbers. This is when viewed from the lexical element. Meanwhile, from the grammatical elements, the types of phrases and clauses are also clearly visible in the short story. There are edosendritic and eccentric phrases as well as various types of clauses, sentence complexities. Meanwhile, in the rhetorical aspect, several aspects were also found, including explication, structural manipulation and imagery. Keywords: stylistic analysis, short stories, dongeng penunggu sura
Comic Arts: Approachable Means for Disseminating a Feminist Message on Aging
This supporting thesis attempts to argue for the use of comics and comic arts as an effective visual language with which to disseminate the question of female ageism (prejudice or discrimination on the basis of one’s age). Through familial and self-reflexive references, my hope is to bring attention to the ubiquitous yet undervalued loss of voice of the middle-aged woman by means of an art form that has historically been dismissed within the fine art world. Through minimal black and white line-work, 2D comic-art iterations are placed in the gallery as a representation of the struggle middle-aged women have endured for a place in contemporary Western society. While intersectional feminism attempts to include all races, economic and social demographics within feminist discourse, ageism has been a silently pervasive phenomenon

Projector-camera calibration with non-overlapping fields of view using a planar mirror
Projector-camera systems have numerous applications across diverse domains. Accurate calibration of both intrinsic and extrinsic parameters is crucial for these systems. Intrinsic parameters include focal length, distortion parameters, and the principal point, while extrinsic parameters encompass the position and orientation of the projector and camera. A non-overlapping projector-camera system is required in certain scenarios due to practical limitations, physical arrangements, or specific application requirements. These systems pose a more complex calibration challenge because the devices have no direct correspondences or overlapping fields of view, necessitating intermediate objects or methods. This paper proposes a calibration method for non-overlapping projector-camera systems using a planar mirror. The method involves a straightforward process that requires a calibrated camera and a separate mirror calibration step. In this setup, the projector displays a pattern on a planar calibration board, and the camera has an indirect view of this calibration board through the mirror. Using homography, 3D-2D correspondences of the projector are established, enabling the calibration of the system. This method is empirically evaluated using real-world setups and quantitatively assessed in a synthetic environment. The results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves precise calibration across various setups, proving its effectiveness. This approach is an easy-to-use and accessible calibration process for non-overlapping projector-camera systems, made possible by a mirror. This research was partly funded by the European Union

Photonic reservoir computing for nonlinear equalization of 64-QAM signals with a Kramers-Kronig receiver
Photonic reservoir computing is a promising processing solution for the equalization of fiber optic communication signals. We simulate the nonlinear equalization of 64 Quadrature-Amplitude Modulated signals using a fully passive space multiplexed reservoir. The system deploys direct detection using the recently proposed Kramers-Kronig receiver. (C) 2022 The Author(s
