A new generalized class of fractional operators with weight and respect to another function

No full text
This paper introduces and investigates the properties of a new generalized class of fractional differential and integral operators. Such newly class covers various definitions of fractional derivatives with singular and non-singular kernels, weighted fractional derivatives with respect to another function, as well as the new mixed fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo and Riemann-Liouville. Furthermore, the newly introduced class includes all existing forms of fractional integrals, weighted fractionalintegrals and also the weighted fractional integrals with respect to another function including Riemann-Liouville, Hadamard, Katugampola and Hattaf fractional integrals. Moreover, some fundamental properties of the new generalized class of fractional differential and integral operators are rigorously derived

Re-contextualisation and the Transformation of Meanings: A Critical Discourse Analysis of the Islamic State Pedagogical Discourse in Iraq

No full text
This article is an attempt to investigate the recontextualisation and transformation process involved in the pedagogic discourse of Islamic State classroom textbooks during its takeover of some parts of Iraq. The article uses an eclectic analytical framework comprising Bernstein's pedagogical model of recontextualization, Linell's levels of recontextualization, Fairclough's concept of genre mixing, Wodak's discourse-historical approach (DHA), and Barthes' model of visual semiotics. These mixed approaches are applied to the analysis of a variety of visual images of Islamic State published textbooks and classroom pedagogic visual aids downloaded from different websites. It is found that the meaning of the pedagogic discourse is transformed via interdiscursive recontextualisation processed in two reversal directions: a militarization of pedagogic discourse and a pedagogization of decapitation practice. Recontextualisation is exceptionally significant with regard to Islamic State jihadist pedagogic discourse that is reframed historically and ideologically to suit an extreme sense of religious intolerance which Islamic State prioritizes as a foundation of regaining and refreshing their lost Islamic caliphate

Utilizing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to Enhance English Language Proficiency among Yemeni EFL Learners

No full text
This quantitative study aimed to investigate the use of MOOCs in improving the English language skills of Yemeni EFL learners. It sought to explore the perceptions of Yemeni EFL learners regarding the impact of MOOCs on improving their English language skills, the potential benefits of using MOOCs for language learning, and the obstacles encountered by learners. The sample of the study consisted of 86 English learners, including both males and females, enrolled at three universities in Ibb City, Yemen during the academic year 2023-2024. Closed-ended questionnaires were used to collect quantitative data, which was then analyzed using the SPSS statistical program. The findings of the study revealed that Yemeni EFL learners held an overall positive view of MOOCs and believed that they could enhance their English proficiency levels. The Yemeni EFL learners acknowledged the benefits of MOOCs in providing them with up-to-date learning resources, including readings, lectures, and videos. These diverse materials facilitated practical application and learning in a remote, online environment. The study presented several recommendations for EFL students, including recognizing the benefits of MOOCs, maintaining commitment and self-motivation, actively engaging with instructors and fellow learners, managing time effectively, and supplementing MOOC learning with additional resources

Rhetoric Stages in Ustaz Khalid Basalamah's Lecture on Youtube. This research is entitled Rhetoric Stages in Ustaz Khalid Basalamah's Lecture on Youtube. The reason the author chose this title is because this research has never been done at the Islamic University of Riau and the object being carried out has also never been studied by students of the Islamic University of Riau. And Ustadz Khalid Basalamah was able to attract the attention of listeners, so the writer wanted to know the stages used by Ustadz Khalid Basalamah. This research is included in qualitative research using descriptive method. The data collection technique of this research is through documentation. This study uses the theory proposed by Rakhmat (2014), Abidin (2013), Keraf (2015), Morrisan (2014). The results of research on the stages of rhetoric in Ustaz Khalid Basalamah's lecture on Youtube found 40 data. (1) In the invention stage, there are 7 data including 5 evidence indicators and 2 statement indicators. (2) The disposition stage contains 15 data, including 7 preliminary data, 4 content data, and 4 closing data. (3) The Elocutio stage contains 7 data, including 3 asindenton data, 1 paradox data, and 3 hyperbole data. (4) The memory stage contains 6 data, including 3 information storage data and 3 experience data. (5) The Pronontitio stage contains 5 data, the data is included in the rhythm. It can be concluded that Ustaz Khalid Basalamah in the invention stage is more dominant in using evidence. In the disposition stage, the prelude is more dominant using greetings, content is more dominant using arguments, and closing is more dominant using expectations. In the elocutio stage, it is more dominant to use asidentone and hyperbole. In the memory stage, it is more dominant to use the storage of information and experiences. In the pronontitio stage, it is more dominant to use rhythm. Thus, Ustaz Khalid Basalamah has used the five stages of rhetoric

The COVID-19 pandemic's abrupt worldwide effect has prompted important considerations about how to stop the illness from spreading, such societal segregation. These actions have also had an effect on Saudi Arabia's pharmaceutical markets and economy. The purpose of the study is to determine how the COVID-19 outbreak has affected Saudi Arabian enterprises that manufacture drugs and medical equipment as well as people who work in the country's pharmacy industry. The data was gathered from a sample of 59 research participants using a cross-sectional study methodology. Due to the present pandemic conditions, the data collecting tool, a questionnaire, was sent through email and WhatsApp to employees in the Saudi pharmaceutical business. Following a review of the literature, a questionnaire was created to fit the circumstances in the area. Results: The Saudi medical device and pharmaceutical sectors were impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the primary study findings. However, it was believed that this effect would only last through 2020, and it was anticipated that the market will recover in the second half of the year. In conclusion, social isolation and travel restrictions have been the key strategies for minimizing the detrimental effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on Saudi Arabia's commercial and state pharmacy markets. It is advised that safety precautions be taken in all spheres of society, including all communities and social activities

No full text
The purpose of this study is to examine the efficiency level of Yemeni banks in pre and post Yemeni crisis. The banking intermediation approach was considered to choose the study inputs and outputs through unique panel data set of banking sector in Yemen over the period (2006-2015). It allows to study the variations in the efficiency of banks before and after Yemeni crisis. For the purpose of data analysis; nonparametric efficiency approach Data Envelopment Windows Analysis (DEWA) was applied. The average efficincy results before Yemeni crisis (2006-2010) reveal that Yemeni conventional banks are more efficient than Islamic banks in term of their inputs producing actual outputs. On the other hand the average efficincy results in post Yemeni crisis (2011-2015) indicate that Islamic banks are more efficient after Yemeni crisis than conventional banks. It is recommended that banks managers should increase their banks efficiency by improving resources utilization to produce optimal outputs. &nbsp
