    DEVELOPMENT OF AN AGRICULTURE ROBOT FOR ROW-TYPE SEED SOWING APPLICATIONSAbstractIn this study, the design and development of an agriculture robot which has row type seed sowing feature are presented. The robot consists of four subsystems; a four-wheel mobile platform, a digger mechanism, a seed dropping mechanism, and an irrigation mechanism. The electrical and mechanical designs of the robot are performed depending on the specified design criteria. System control software and user interface are developed considering stakeholder expectations. Designed subsystems are manufactured and integrated. Furthermore, robot functionality tests are performed and the desired performance of the agriculture robot is validated by the test results. The robot is remotely operated via an Android application on a mobile phone and all operation data can be monitored via this android application. Additionally, the robot can perform the row-type seed sowing operation in an autonomous mode.     Development of a biophysical screening model for gestational hypertensive diseases

    BackgroundTo investigate the possibility of using maternal biophysical parameters only in screening for the different types of gestational hypertensive diseases.MethodsA total of 969 pregnant women were randomly screened in first and second trimester, of which 8 developed Early-onset Preeclampsia, 29 Late-onset Preeclampsia, 35 Gestational Hypertension and 897 women had a normal outcome. An observational maternal hemodynamics assessment was done via standardized electrocardiogram-Doppler ultrasonography, Impedance Cardiography and bio-impedance, acquiring functional information on heart, arteries, veins and body fluid. Preliminary prediction models were developed to test the screening potential for early preeclampsia, late preeclampsia and gestational hypertension using a Partial Least Square Discriminant Analysis.ResultsA combined model using maternal characteristics with cardiovascular parameters in first and second trimester offers high screening performance with Area Under the Curve of 99,9% for Early-onset Preeclampsia, 95,3% for Late-onset Preeclampsia and 94% for Gestational Hypertension.ConclusionsUsing biophysical parameters as fundament for a new prediction model, without the need of biochemical parameters, seems feasible. Aynı zamanda çalışanlar tarafından algılanan hizmetkar liderlik tarzının, çalışanların örgütleri ile özdeşleşme düzeyini ve sahip oldukları pozitif psikolojik kaynakları/sermayeyi (öz-değer, öz-yeterlilik, iyimserlik ve psikolojik yılmazlık) arttırdığı ve bu değişkenler aracılığı ile de çalışanların işten aileye ve aileden işe zenginleşme düzeylerini olumlu yönde etkilediği hipotezleri test edilmektedir.     „Gender fluidity“: Die Identitätskrise als Aufbrechen der Geschlechterrollen in Annemarie Schwarzenbachs 'Flucht nach oben'

    The Swiss author Annemarie Schwarzenbach created literary figures that resist being classified according to a gender binary and heterosexual norm. She thereby, already in the 1930s, imagined something akin to the recent investigative work by Lisa Diamond on gender and sexual fluidity. Schwarzenbach's texts are populated by feminine men and masculine women, a genderswitching that can be interpreted as breaking apart the categories of gender and sexuality. In her novel Flucht nach oben (1933), in which the dichotomy of male and female is proven invalid, gender role models become obsolete, leading to the protagonist's deep uncertainty about his identity. Schwarzenbach’s characters can thus be called “multi–sexual” as they meld both genders as well as homo– and hetero–sexual orientations, thereby exceeding culturally fixed borders. The dichotomy between male and female becomes ever more instable, just as the labels hetero–, homo– and bisexual fall apart. In the end of the novel, the main protagonist forms a queer family together with other characters who do not fit into cultural gender norms. In contrast to earlier studies which interpret Schwarzenbach's texts biographically, I seek to use Diamond’s contemporary model indebted to queer studies. I involve, moreover, theories by Joan Rivière, René Girard, Eve Sedgwick, and Judith Butler. In addition, Flucht nach oben is read alongside Schwarzenbach's other novels – Freunde um Bernhard (1931), Lyrische Novelle (1933) and Eine Frau zu sehen (1929). These works serve as intertexts that contribute to a deeper understanding of the recurring character types and constellations of relationships in Schwarzenbach’s oeuvre

    How employees' perceptions of competency models affect job satisfaction? Mediating effect of social exchange

    Sanı Ürü, Fahriye Oben (Arel Author)With growing emphasis being placed on human resource competencies as a means to be the indicator of employee potential to produce performance outcomes i.e. employee creativity and in turn organizational innovation, this study seeks to determine if competencies are predictive of employee behavior; determine if there is a relationship between competencies and job satisfaction of employees' perceptions; and determine the mediating effect of social exchange in this relationship. Analyses of 207 employees working in banking, telecommunications, health care, aeronautical and food industries in Turkey show that perceptions of competency model relevance and fairness has a positive effect on intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction. Also results show that social exchange partially mediated the relationship between perceptions of competency model relevance and fairness and intrinsic and extrinsic job

    Opimization of the magnetic anomaly signals from a new land mine detection device

This device will use an artificial neural network algorithm for the classification of magnetic materials to diminish the mines from other magnetically detectable bodies. Therefore an efficient planar sensor network has been constructed in order to detect the field anomalies. The device operates fast and requires some preliminary tests to increase the measurement accuracy and reliability. In this manner, the magnetic responses of different materials should be ascertained for different distances to MA device. It operates under 24 ACV and includes a square looped Helmholtz coil system and plenary arranged 20 small field detection coils. Preliminary optimization studies have proven that the MA device can diminish the magnetic materials and its reliability can be enhanced further by measuring different material types in order to produce a solid operation achieve for diminishing the mines according to the neural network learning
