“What if I died?”: A narrative review about suicide in institutionalized adolescents
No full textA cada 40 segundos, é registrado um falecimento devido ao suicídio, dentre estes casos 78% são em pessoas com renda baixa. O suicídio é também a segunda maior causa de morte em pessoas de idade entre 15 e 29 anos. A fase da adolescência é definida como um momento de mudanças e busca por identidade, sendo assim um momento vulnerável para eventos estressores. Estes são considerados como momentos causadores de um certo nível de angústia e inquietação, e pode- se afirmar que a institucionalização é um evento estressor. O contexto de abrigamento se trata de uma medida provisória do governo para jovens que anteriormente não estavam seguros sob custódia dos próprios genitores. A pesquisa teve como objetivo geral investigar de que maneira a situação de abrigamento influencia o comportamento suicida em adolescentes institucionalizados; seguindo dos seus objetivos específicos: analisar os impactos da institucionalização na saúde mental do adolescente; compreender os fatores de risco para o comportamento suicida de adolescentes abrigados e compreender as diferentes perspectivas da subjetividade adolescente. Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa, e foi utilizado o método bibliográfico de pesquisa narrativa. Para a análise de dados, foi usada a análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Para os resultados, foram separadas as categorias de adolescência e crise, suicídio, fatores de risco para suicídio na adolescência e suicídio em adolescentes institucionalizados, com o objetivo de criar uma conclusão fazendo uma relação entre as temáticas. Concluiu-se que o jovem em contexto de abrigamento é vulnerabilizado e de fato passou por eventos estressores, como abandono, negligência e/ou violência. Estes eventos são fatores de risco para suicídio, juntamente com psicopatologias e suicídios em agrupamentos. Além disso, o adolescente passou por uma ruptura de vínculos e afetos, e compreende-se que o suicídio é um problema social, ao contrário de simplesmente individual. Portanto, se vendo numa situação de espaço limitado para lidar com suas crises, o jovem entende que o controle que pode encontrar é através do suicídio.Every 40 seconds, a death due to suicide is registered, among these cases 78% are in people with low income. Suicide is also the second leading cause of death in people between the ages 15 and 29. Adolescence is defined as a time of change and a search for identity, thus being vulnerable to stressful events. These are considered moments that can cause a certain level of anguish and restlessness, and it can be said that institutionalization is a stressful event. The sheltering contexto is a provisional government measure for young people who were previously not safe in their parents’s costudy. The general aim of the research was to investigate how the sheltering situation influences suicidal behavior in institutionalized adolescents; following its specific aims: to analyze the impacts of institutionalization on adolescent mental health; understand the risk factors for suicidal behavior in sheltered adolescents and understand the different perspectives of adolescent subjectivity. This is a qualitative research, and the bibliographic method of narrative research was used. For data analysis, Bardin's content analysis was used. For the results, the categories of adolescence and crisis, suicide, risk factors for suicide in adolescence and suicide in institutionalized adolescents were separated, with the aim of creating a conclusion by linking the themes. It was concluded that young people in a sheltering context are vulnerable and in fact have experienced stressful events, such as abandonment, negligence and/or violence. These events are risk factors for suicide, along with psychopathologies and cluster suicides. In addition, it can be said that the institucionalized teenager went through a rupture of bonds and affections. And it is understood that suicide is a social problem, as opposed to simply na individual one. Therefore, seeing themselves in a situation of limited space to deal with their crises, the adolescent understands that the control they can find is through suicide
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
