Olga Koubrak: Protecting the Caribbean Sawfish
No full textStudent editor Patrick Sheppard sits down with Professor Olga Koubrak of the Schulich School of Law to discuss her work on the legal frameworks to protect sawfish in the Caribbean. Olga is the author of a 2018 paper titled “A Future for a Forgotten Predator: An Assessment of International Legal Frameworks for Protection and Recovery of the Caribbean Sawfishes,” and co-author of the more recent 2022 article titled “Strengthening Marine Species Protections in Cuba: A Case Study on the Critically Endangered Smalltooth Sawfish.” Patrick and Olga discuss the sawfish, means of protecting the animal domestically and internationally, problems in enforcement and international cooperation, and how the public perception of an animal affects how it is protected by authorities. Ma esiste una strategia dell’advertising alla base della commistione di inglese e italiano negli annunci pubblicitari? E se si, quali effetti produce sul testo? È a partire da questi interrogativi che si tenta di dare conto di come sia cambiata la pubblicità in Italia, verificando sul piano dell’analisi linguistica prima, e su quello delle ideologie sottostanti i testi, poi, come l’utente della pubblicità italiana partecipi, più o meno consapevolmente, a un mondo “possibile” in cui i modelli vincenti fanno riferimento a uno scenario ideologico di impronta angloamericana

Tutors: Santiago González i Olga Serra Escarp[spa] ¿De qué depende que los equipos interdisciplinares de trabajo para el abordaje de las violencias machistas sean equipos eficientes? La experiencia nos enseña que son equipos en los que se detecta un elevado grado de conflictividad. Los equipos para el abordaje de las violencias machistas tienden a reproducir patrones de violencia en su desarrollo. Son numerosos los autores que a partir de la década de los 80 se interesan por los grupos en las organizaciones y por una nueva forma de trabajo, el trabajo en equipo, que pretende dar respuesta a la deshumanización que supuso el trabajo en cadena, incrementando la interacción entre las personas trabajadoras, potenciando de esa manera la satisfacción y la calidad de vida en el trabajo. También se da respuesta a las nuevas necesidades de las organizaciones. La mejora que supone las relaciones interpersonales y de comunicación pretende conseguir una mayor cohesión grupal y un clima más adecuado para la consecución de los objetivos grupales y organizaciones, posibilitándose una menor conflictividad y favoreciendo el compromiso con el grupo y con la organización como un todo

Rectolejeunea pililoba (Spruce) Schust. está sendo referida pela primeira vez para o Brasil. Destas espécies, 26 estão sendo referidas pela primeira vez para o estado.Fifteen species of mosses and fourteen species of liverworts are reported from Serra de Itabaiana, Sergipe, Brazil. The mosses are distributed among 14 genera and 11 families, and the liverworts for eight genera and four families. Rectolejeunea pililoba (Spruce) Schust. is cited for the first time from Brazil. Altogether, 26 species are cited for the first time for the State
